Great location, very convenient for me to swing by and pick up water and sometimes a snack while I am out on my long runs. The employees are always nice and they are usually busy but close by when you need help with something. I have used the photo services here and it is very convenient and quick. I usually upload my photos and they are ready within a day or two max. Great selection of everything from snacks to everyday essentials. I went into the store to buy an item, and Trevor and his manager were very helpful and patient in helping me with adjusting the price in the store to the online price. You can purchase online and pick up but I decided since I was in the area. I would just pick up, but noticed a big difference in pricing in purchasing at store vs when I was going to purchase it online the same day. This not aimed at a particular store but the corporation for online overcharging. For each item purchased for pick up in the store the website and app charge a ten cent bag fee. If you don't ask for a bag, you should not be getting charged. The items are not each placed in seperate plastic bags and this is a total rip off. The company has an auto response it repeatedly gives on the BBB that does not address the problem. Then the case closes and says they answered but the consumer is not happy. Case closed. They verbally admit this is a problem. This should end in a class action suite. read more

I am a lover and hater of CVS..but just depending on the location. I have my go-to CVS favs and this one is just meh-okay. This CVS is a bit further from home, but I've gone here a handful of times when I'm in the area shopping. Near I-15 and other businesses in the heart of Carmel Mountain/Camino Del Norte such as Costco, Trader Joe's and Home Depot. I like that they have a huge parking lot and it's never an issue to find a spot. Most of the one star reviews are for the pharmacy, which I have yet to utilize. I think I'll avoid. This particular location seems to have the least inventory and stock. Most of the common items I need are not carried here, which is unfortunate. Other times, it's limited in supply. The front store staff seem pleasant and for the most part no complaints in that department. Although, lines tend to get long when they are short-staffed. Don't come if you're in a hurry is what I find. Nothing much to write home about. Three stars is average and honestly quite generous in my book. read more

I wanted to call CVS Pharmacy with one simple question: Is it too late in the day to get a COVID vaccination? That's it. A yes or no answer. Instead, I was forced into their so-called "AI" phone system--though calling it intelligent is being far too generous. It would not allow me to ask the question, never gave me the option to speak to a human being, and ultimately hung up on me when I tried. This isn't just inconvenient, it's unacceptable. Customer service means actually serving the customer, not trapping them in an endless phone maze that makes it impossible to talk to a person. CVS has made it clear they don't care about patients or families--only about cutting corners. No wonder they're closing stores left and right. I and my family will not be using CVS for anything in the future. There are plenty of other pharmacies that treat customers with respect and actually answer the phone. If you value your time, your health, and even a basic level of courtesy, take your business elsewhere. read more

Theresa was the cashier at the pharmacy drive through. She was incredibly rude, refusing to run my insurance for the prescriptions. She purposely misspells her own name on the receipt to prevent complaints from getting traced back to her. You'll know you had Theresa if you get a cashier with dead eyes and bad teeth. I had many mediocre experiences at this CVS, but after this one, I closed my account and transferred my prescriptions to a new pharmacy. read more

I was a regular customer at this store and pharmacy for years prior to moving out of state. I was in town and needed to see my Doctor. She prescribed me some medication. This pharmacy refused to fill it. Not only that, they screamed at me and called this prescription a fraud. If you need something filled, don't do it here. You may not get it. We moved to Rancho Penasquitos in December. We're originally from CT. My husband and I frequently shop at CVS on Camino Del Norte and also use the pharmacy there. The clerks at the front end and the pharmacy are very nice and personable. The pharmacists are excellent in providing us with information about our prescriptions. We especially enjoy when Jen is working at the front end. She is so helpful and friendly. Quite frankly, she is a gem! She takes the time to acknowledge us and engage in conversation. We're glad to have a sense of community when we come to visit CVS! read more

This pharmacy is so incredibly slow. I was here before they opened and waited patiently. At 10, when they're supposed to open, they hadn't opened the gate. They opened the gate (with like 7 people in line) and then the girl at the front still took five minutes to put all the cash drawers in the drawers. The reason I'm here is that my health insurance payments lapsed (my bad, thought it was on autopay). I paid it and came back today. I've been off my anti-depressants for three days now, because they wanted me to pay $350 to get my meds without insurance. This seems insanely wrong to me, that someone who is taking a strong anti-depressant can be denied their medication because of the cost. Honestly, it sounds like a wrongful death lawsuit could be coming their way if they're essentially denying people their psych meds and someone unalives themselves. Just my thoughts. (I'm also aware this situation is probably 50% my fault..but it's more the principle of the matter.) read more

This particular CVS is on its own island or at least it feels that way to me. I rarely visit here but it is one that has started up their curbside service which I tried and actually liked. I pulled up noticed them and within a few minutes I had my items! Zee brought my items promptly and with a smile. I'll probably be back here again. Then she said that she wouldn't check me out and directed me to self checkout and told me bitches like me don't deserve to be checked out by humans. After I tried checking out with self checkout I needed help using my coupons, she came over and said to me that my time is up and she escorted me out of the store, grabbed my arm and tossed me out and told me to never come back. I stopped by this location to get my passport photo and it looks blurry. I mentioned it to the employee and she said it's fine. I didn't bother to say anything more because when someone showing they only do the bare minimum there is no need to say more. I decided to go my usual CVS in Del Sur/4S Ranch to get a refund. When they saw the two photos I have they were shocked. They asked me if I got a certification from another CVS I didn't have any idea what they were taking about. They told me if the photo passed the biometric photo, there should be a certificate given to me. I told her I only got those two photos and paid for them and got a receipt. They offered to re-take my photo for free and they provided me the certification. I couldn't believe the employee at this location was given me the blurry photos and just do not care if my passport renewal get rejected due to low quality of the photo. This was confirmed by the employee at the 4S Ranch store (other than the obvious blurriness of the photo) that this shot wouldn't passed the biometric because no certification was given to me and the employee must had override the system to have it printed. Biometric certificate received from another CVS. Make sure you ask for one when you get your passport photo at CVS. read more

We went to get the flu shot today for my 3 year old toddler but it was terrible. They don't know how to handle a child but advertise flu shot for the whole family. They poked my little one at least 5-6 times with two needles. Don't take your child there, I'm extremely disappointed with their professionalism. On top of that I could not find a cough lozenge on the shelf so asked a lady there twice, she was pretty rude to me. If this is how they treat their customers I would not mind to drive further away to find a decent CVS. read more

This location has always had poor customer service, but today I was appalled. The woman who were working the cash register was apparently the manager, yet I've never been treated worse in any store. She and another worker nearby were urging people (myself included) to use the self-checkout as though we had no option when there was no line. For the past 9 months, when I go to a CVS, they can tell me if I've used my $10 from the extra care pass for the month (we're on a family plan), but today she said it was "impossible" for her to know that. Unbelievable poor customer service! CVS should be severely concerned! I stood at the cash register for greater than 1-2 mins. I was forced to use the "self serve register" because no one showed up to assist me. The cosmetics I bought were too light to register on the scale. The register repeated over 20 times, " help is on the way". Help never came. I could EASILY have walked out of the store with merchandise without paying. I finally, rang a bell at the register and approximately one minute later an employee named, Lexi, came and in a VERY RUDE manner she said, " I said I'd help you AFTER I get my card" !!! This is a very bad experience to have my prescription done here. When my doctor just called couple times, he kept getting the auto-reply askng him to wait. He waited for 30minutes. Meanwhile, I am in the store, in front of the pharmacist. I didn't hear the phone rings. I almost beg them to help me. She was too busy to answer my question and not willing to offer any solution neither. What a service. P.S. I asked my doctor to call Costco pharmacy 10 minutes ago. My wife was having symptoms for Covid-19. She made an appointment at CVS to be tested. They said she'd have her results in 72 hours. That was over 10 days ago, and still we don't have her results back. It's extremely difficult to contact them, they keep trying to charge us for a virtual visit, when all we want is her results. Eventually she went to Scripps and had her results in less than a day. Negative. Also, if you go tot the drive through be careful what line you are in. If you get in the wrong line, you cannot pick up your prescription. read more
