I recently had to switch pharmacies due to Rite Aid closing down which I was bummed about because I enjoyed their drive through pick up however this is my second time picking up from this location in years and I have to say it has been a nice experience! Aside from getting out of our car I guess you forget they have themed treats in cvs along with random cosmetics and everything you might need at home while you're waiting in line. Working in medical we have to be updated on our vaccinations and I could only get my covid booster here and when I did the guy was SO sweet and it was painless! The line can get a little long I figured that would be the case for 4th of July Weekend, but it moved fairly quickly and MUCH more fast than I remember it moved years ago. Remarkable difference as well as the service!! These women who have helped me recently are SO polite, sweet, and get right to business to keep the line moving. Who knew getting a shot or picking up a prescription could be a happy experience lol this location definitely makes it happen! I also noticed everything was ADA approved when there's a line and a patient might need to sit. Which is very important to those that are in need. :) read more

Stopped in to pick up my RX's, they had just reopened from lunch & there was a decent sized line waiting for pick up. I got in line and waited. There were 2 people at the counter working on getting through the line. Crystal made a big impact on the customers she was helping. She greeted every person with a huge smile & bubbly attitude, and ended the interaction the same way. Her upbeat attitude rubbed off on the customers she assisted, and you could tell that her small kind gestures made a huge impact on those of us who interacted with her. Every single staff member was warm, helpful, and efficient. They rushed my prescription, kept me informed throughout the wait, and never once made me feel like a burden despite the late hour. Pharmacist Brandon, in particular, truly stood out. He didn't just fill the prescription he took the time to thoroughly explain everything I needed to know about my baby's medications, and even stayed past closing to offer additional guidance. Some time in december I dropped of disposable cameras, and the processor took a REALLY long time, which isnt CVS fault BUT the last two days i have called CVS twice & went in, and been SO confused. On my first call, the woman said they were there so i go in the same day, and the girl working says she does not see them & tells me to call again today to see if they possibly came in the morning. after telling me she could not find my photos she also helped us with self checkout to clear an item & she say behind and talked to me about the photos and what to do. I call again today, they hadnt revieved photo orders yet but; my photos were there. The wonderful woman on the phone today (stacy) helped me out & I asked her if she could somehow make them more visble and she offered to outline my name again in sharpie which is so so helpful. I will be going in again today to see if they are there, i will update the review then. update: I went back later that day and the photos had been there, they hadnt gotten a delivery yet so they were there when I went the day before 100%. I had to have my prescription refilled at CVS because the mail delivery with a different company would take 7-10 days, so my doctor also put a prescription with CVS to tide me over until my mail order one came in (mail order prescription was free with my insurance). When I called CVS to see if it was ready, the robot said it was ready and would be $56. So I called them, and now you can't be connected to a pharmacist, you have to leave a message and hope they call you within an hour. But I was planning on driving over immediately, but now, I had to leave a message and wait for a call back, so there went my plan. He did call back and said it's $56 and I can't have it till May because I already had a prescription with the mail order pharmacy and to fix that issue, I'd have to call my insurance company and ask for an override to supply me with at least enough to get me through 10 days until my mail order arrived. So I did call the insurance company and they okayed the override, but they had to call CVS to tell them it shouldn't be $56 but only $25 co-pay, but she had me on hold for 20 minutes continuously trying to reach the pharmacy but could only leave a message and wait up to an hour for someone to call back, so she told me to call CVS myself and tell them to do the override, and the price would be only $25 and to call the insurance company themselves and tell them they will do that, and then they were supposed to call me immediately and let me know. So I did that, and CVS pharmacy said they would call me and it might be today or tomorrow because they had a lot of other calls they had to make, but I'd get a call or text. They sent me weird texts that didn't make sense. It said: CVS PHARMACY: All texts will stop. Text: UNDO to undo, READY for texts only when your order is ready, NOPIC to continue receiving texts without images, To stop automated calls reply NOCALLS or call 800SHOPCVS. I had no idea what they wanted me to do, but I know they did call my insurance company yesterday and never informed me that I could pick it up yesterday. So I called them today and of course, had to leave a message explaining this whole debacle on the message, and wait for a call back. He did call back and said it was approved and I said no one called or texted me back except for that weird text which I didn't understand. He said the robot was supposed to automatically call me, which didn't happen. He said he did call my insurance and it was okayed, but when I called the insurance company they did not get a call from CVS so then she had to call them again and verify. The whole fiasco was so annoying and I will never again get a prescription from them and then deal with the hour long line you usually see. Mail order is the best! read more

I am very impressed with the customer service and the assistance whenever you need help. Been going to this Pharmacy for the last three years since we've moved up here from the bay area. I am very pleased with the pharmacy and their professional staff always available to help when you have questions regarding over-the-counter medication's. As well the professionalism of teaching you at the new medication's your doctor may have ordered. I love the holiday displays that they put out for all seasons and also the wonderful coupons. Every month my son needs Ritalin LA for his ADHD. He is also autistic and prone to epileptic seizures. Every month they say they need the "diagnostic code" and every month my son's psychiatrist and his staff have already provided this information to them. Due to the nationwide Adderall shortage we had to switch to Ritalin and because both drugs are schedule II medications, we have felt we had to stay with this pharmacy. Last month they were going to make me pay out of pocket for the medication that my son's insurance covers. They know who we are; they have made my son wait an hour to fill a prescription that should already be ready to pick up. When I complained to the male pharmacist on duty, things got worse. This month they are refusing to fill his Rx at all, and we have one pill left. We will be going to the ER and switching pharmacies. They are putting my son at risk of seizure, coma and death. (Note: There are two kind clerks there: a young woman with black hair and a young man whom they just hired.) I transferred my prescriptions here from a CVS in the Bay Area when we moved to Copperopolis. It has been a deeply disappointing experience. I want to also be quite clear that this in no way has anything to do with the associates working there. I have had no issues whatsoever with them. First of all, this store is in desperate need of a remodel. Old, tired, it looks like a store from the 80's . The flooring smells, and the AC does not work. I went toward the back of the store and they had jury rigged some sort of vent from the roof, down to the store floor in an attempt to generate some air conditioning. I applaud the effort, but clearly this is a hot mess. Secondly, the pharmacy... They are chronically understaffed. They have a hand written sign "Help Wanted" handing above the pharmacy for at least a month. There has to be a better way. Get a cashier to ring up prescriptions while a trained Pharmacy tech pulls them... There is never less that a half dozen people waiting in line. After reading the other reviews here, I'll be changing pharmacies soon. read more

I have had three instances between 2023 and this year where employees took cash back illegally when I used my debit at the Pharmacy. I spoke with the store manager in 2023 and that employee was "no longer working here". They claimed they would investigate and reimburse me for the two unauthorized $20 cash back charges stolen from me. They never called me. Now I'm in there today and the girl takes my money and tries to short me $4. When I explain she shorted me my change. She hands me back $3 instead of $4, claiming an innocent mistake. I then explain that l'm owed one more $1. She comes back to give me another dollar - my full change. Three instances of theft or attempted theft - little by little to likely many customers. I cannot share enough, I think they think my gray hair means I won't catch it. Do not use your debit card anywhere except your bank ATM! Too risky. And please know this is only the Pharmacy. I haven't had this experience at the main checkout lines. read more

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. They NEVER stock my prescription which I understand for some medications but is extremely inconvenient that I have to call to to speak to the pharmacy to actually have them put in the order because it says "processing" in their system when I try to do it online and it will just sit there and not be touched. When calling just now to make sure they were filling it, the lady just hung up on me when I asked her to confirm she is ordering it today...she could not confirm when she was actually going to put in the order. This Pharmacy is horrible! they literally never treat me nice every time I go in to this pharmacy there is a problem getting medication. I got injured at my job pretty severe. which resulted in bulging discs and have a herniated disc with a bone fragment touching my spinal cord. I have never needed pain medication in my life until this and every time I go in there they give me trouble getting it. They make me feel like I am horrible for needing pain meds. They also refuse to fill it even if they have already been told by my doctor and insurance it's approve. saying they can't fill it until after 2 pm. Which is ridiculous because they will purposely make it so they don't have to fill it while I am there. I have to drive from Arnold to pick it up and I have to have my husband drive me because I am not able to drive mysel. he works after 12 so I can't comeback to pick it up. This CVS store is outrageously horrible and non personal. I came to the store to retrieve a prescription for insulin because I'm a diabetic an d was away on a vacation. I don't live in the area and I was out for the weekend. I had an emergency! My diabetic pump malfunctioned and stopped. I spoke to the pharmacist and the representative. I repetitively told them this is an emergency! I'm a diabetic without insulin. There was no one in line. There was no busy sales. It was myself and older lady being helped next to me. The lady was dismissing and answering calls. In the end she didn't tell me she would help me. She pass me off to the pharmacist. That never happened. This is only for the Photo Department. Went in to get passport photos taken today, when I walked in there were quite a number of people in line being helped. Nobody at the Photo Dept so I thought I'd be waiting for some time. Scott walked past a register and caught my eye, I asked for help. He quickly came over to help me take my photo and even took a couple so we could choose the best one, all with a very helpful attitude. In and out in under 5 minutes. Had a prescription filled at the back, paid with a hundred-dollar bill and they only had 5s for change. I received 18 5s back. I went to the front counter to cash in16 of them for 80 dollars. The elderly cashier counted the money 4 stacks 20 dollars each. He then proceeded to give me 40 dollars back. I told him it should be 80 dollars he said I counted it in front of you its 40 dollars. At this time there was a line forming everybody looking at me like i was attacking a senior citizen. Well CVS has one hell of a manager his name is Kreg. I contacted him right at 8 in the morning told him the situation. After listening to my story he said come in ill give you the 40 dollars. I drove down and to his word he handed me 40 dollars. After the tills were counted the elderly cashier was confused and he did short me 40 dollars. When I took my then husband-to-be to visit Sonora for the first time we stopped off to get cough syrup at Longs prior to driving home to Cedar Ridge. Well we go get the cough syrup and bring it up to the counter. On the way, unbeknown to me, he spies a fantastic deal on chicken broth. Yes, chicken broth was on sale for 33 cents/can. Sweet Jesus we can't possibly pass up the opportunity to by a whole flat of those cans!!! So he tells me we have to go back and get some chicken broth.... I didn't know he meant 24+ cans.... Then, when we brought the cans of broth he insisted on buying up to the counter he gets carded for the cough syrup. You have to be at least 18 to buy it but he is over 40!! Furthermore, what 17 year old buys that many cans of chicken broth?! One time when I was at a tender young age buying alcohol, the cashier who carded me exclaimed that he had the same birthday. That was the only time that happened to me and it was kind of cool. I do like this store, there's a large variety of items and I can always find what I need even if I didn't know that I needed it when I first walked into the store. There are a lot of great deals on things other than chicken broth, so keep you eyes open! read more

I use CVS for my wife's medications because they are organized with her Medicare needs. They have a huge selection of items, but I find the lines too long and sometimes not enough checkout people. I never thought I would miss Walmart pharmacy. My insurance makes me pick up from CVS, it's the ONLY reason I am staying at this pharmacy. Every single (not exaggerating) prescription that I have tried to pick up has a problem. One example is trying to get my prescriptions transferred from Walmart to CVS took a week because "they weren't hearing back from Walmart" when they faxed them. So by that point my son who takes medication he can't just stop, ran out of medication. After going in there AGAIN to find out what was going on with it another employee heard the woman who was helping me say she would fax Walmart again. He chimed in and said "oh remember, Walmart doesn't get our faxes, you have to call them" mean while my son was out of medication for 3 days because they didn't know how to communicate with Walmart. Then when they finally had it ready (the next day) I went into pick it up and was told I had to wait even longer because the pharmacist was at lunch and needed to go over the medication with me. To which I explained that he has been on this medication for 4 years! Another example, today I go in to pick up antibiotics that were prescribed yesterday morning from my son's pediatrician. He is very sick, missing school with a fever and needs these meds now but I'm told they are still "processing" and will have to come back later because they are 2 days backed up. It's bad enough how unorganized they are but the complete lack of customer service and cashiers with terrible attitudes is unbearable. I want to scream every time I go in there. A simple "I'm sorry that we have made this a difficult experience" would make me so much happier. I cannot stand this pharmacy and if you want your prescriptions actually filled on time and be treated with decent customer service I would stick with Save-Mart or Walmart. read more
