No basil flavor No pine nut flavor (heard it's cashews), no cheese. Just. Green doesn't make it pesto. Preboiled pasta that's lost all its starch. Pretty much unsalted water used to cook. It is obviously an upgrade from their previous location just due to the amount of people that were inside. But, that is also the problem. It was loud. Deafening loud. I literally could not hear my own thoughts. The waitress had to basically scream to help us. The decorations are fun but they need to put glass partitions or something on the walls. We were even sat by the window and it was unbearable. The food was good but there were some issues. The clam chowder tasted like it was thickened with flour. There was a grittiness to it that couldn't be ignored. The RJ special was good but there is no way that was "double meat." It was good size but there was one slice of each meat, so I'm not sure how that could be double. Minor critique, but the pickle spear served with it was wilty and mushy. The menu is very limited. It's basically sandwiches. Their pasta are literally noodles and sauce. You can add chicken/shrimp but not a single dish has any vegetables in it. Pinocchio's is a delicious Italian restaurant, this is the first time I have been into their new location - we took a group from work and introduced our new boss to another local restaurant. And he will be back for sure. We were celebrating a few promotions and ordered a variety of different foods including their Monthly special Mac N Cheese, Cricket, Mikey's, Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken, & the McLean sandwich. Everything was delicious and my boss has decided he would like to make this a more frequent spot for our business lunches. Our server Cat was very on top of things, she ensured that our drinks were never empty, and that we had extra napkins before our meals came out. The new restaurant has a large dining room and so many amazing Pinocchio themed decorations lining the walls along with old photos and drawings of the area. This was the first time we visited the new location. The food was excellent, as it has been. Limited menu but still lots of options. All three of us had sandwiches. Friday lunchtime, so the place was very busy. Few minutes wait for a table. Food was a bit slow coming out; not a problem unless one had a short lunch break. It was on the noisy side, but not so we had trouble conversing. They still have some issues with the new location - no liquor license and some minor bathroom issues. Very friendly service. read more

Me and my office mates have tried a couple of times to have lunch at your new location. However, it appears that your restaurant is very popular, and busy. We attempted to make reservations however we don't always have six or more people. I would love love love if your business would reconsider reservations for parties less than six during the Monday through Friday lunch hour. As my agency only allows an hour and both times we attempted we were told the wait time would be about 20 to 30 minutes to get a table and therefore we had to unfortunately pick a different establishment. read more

She gave us excellent menu recommendations kept our filled and timed everything even though the restaurant was very she made us feel like her top priority. Her positive energy really made our night. Brought a family friend here for a birthday dinner and there were four of us total. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Pesto Pasta with chicken. I liked it but it needed some oomph to it. I kept having to add parmesan and salt. I tried the lasagna, and it was good. My wife and her friend had the Pasta Bolognese. They really enjoyed their food. 100/10 perfection. We bought a place in Sonora almost a year ago and ever since we've always talked about going to pinocchios! Today we finally stopped in. SO GOOD. The minestrone was amazing. I got a cup but I definitely would get a bowl next time! Their Chardonnay is local and so good. The bolognese pasta was perfect for my super picky husband. And my Mcclean sandwich was HUGE and tasty!!! I took more than half of it home so that's how you know the portions here are MORE than generous. Our sever darrien (I think that was her name according to the receipt) was very welcoming friendly and all the good things! Everytime I am up here I have been stopping by to get their pasta for years! My mom says they also have delicious sandwiches but I have yet to try those as my go to is the PASTA. Hits everytime. When I pick up an order the girl at the front helping me is an absolute sweetheart the staff are all so very nice, I'm assuming it's family owned? The vibe is cute there are a bunch of little adorable Pinocchio statues in the front while you're waiting on a table or an order to go and it's pretty busy for the most part. We LOVE Pinocchio's! Everything on the menu is amazing. From Italian classics, to sandwiches, to salads. We love the sandwiches and the kids love the huge meatballs. The staff is very friendly. From date night to family outings they treat everyone equally and make you feel welcome. I've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The only warning is that the full sandwiches are huge, you will be taking something home with you. If you don't want to take anything home, order the half sandwich. read more

The McClean was divine after a day of sledding and the Pinocchio, French Dip and meatballs were excellent! Service was great and they have rocket ice in drinks which was an added bonus. Went back for some minestrone too since it looked so authentic and great for cold weather. I ordered the lasagna which tasted ok but still cold in the middle with a $5 side sausage which was so over microwaved the top half was dark brown and super dry and hard. My guest had the spaghetti which she described as going to somebody's to eat spaghetti and didn't know how to cook it, the noodles were good it was the sauce, it tasted like straight tomato paste. We have eaten multiple times at their old location and the food was always delicious and we always praised them for doing a great job but this time it will be a while before we go back! read more

I went to Pinocchio's a couple of years ago and ordered a pastrami sandwich. It was underwhelming - expensive with hardly any meat and not much flavor. I much preferred Ferrarese's. But... everyone kept raving and my son said I ordered the wrong thing, so we went back and ordered - The Cricket. What a great sandwich! It's delicious and huge. I always get the large and yes it is $19 but it's the size of 2 small Togo's. I've gone back 6 times in the last couple of months and I just keep ordering the same thing (but why mess with success?), however my wife has tried something new every time and she likes it all. We had attempted to have our 38th wedding anniversary at a steak house which was a miserable experience. We left and had dinner at this adorable restaurant. We were greeted by a smiling server who told us to grab a table. She instantly came over and took our drink order. She came back, took our dinner order right away. We noticed how she continued smiling, laughing to everyone, making you feel like you were family. The food arrived and OMG! My husband had the lasagna and I had the penne bolognese. What a terrific meal! We had mentioned to another terrific server how happy we were to have come here to celebrate. Much to our surprise she came back with a tiramisu which was plated so nicely.
