The pharmacist are uninformed and unhelpful. I switched my prescription from a different CVS to here. They first told me they wanted more info from the doctor to fill it. Info was provided. Then they said they were waiting on inventory and the system would be updated when it came in. Days later I stop by to get it and they THEN told me they would never fill it there because they have too many patients that already get it from them and they can't get enough to fill those. Which could have been told to me on either of the previous times I inquired about it. Incompetent! read more

While the staff of the pharmacy are incredibly great the pharmacy manager can be best described as an arrogant aashole. After a surgery there was a mixup with my pain killer medication. after insisting to my wife they were busy and didn't have time to follow up she walked in and basically found the staff standing around. When my wife further inquired for help she was met with rudeness, arrogance and condescension. The manager here is an as. Non empathetic to his patients. Incompassionate, just a jerk. Personally I feel he should be fired for bringing derelict in his duties and being rude to customers. Bonus he outright lied that as a pharmacist he can make changes to a C2 level medication. And under Florida law this is allowable as long as the medication and strength remain the same in order to serve the needs of the patient. Avoid yours asshole . Go to Walgreens. read more

I drove to CVS 20 minutes away because it was the only place open. I got there at 11:50 and the little girl inside with dark hair was super rude and wouldn't let me in the store even tho it said they closed at 12. This location was supposed to be open until midnight and instead the little girl inside said she doesn't wanna stay open that late? Pharmacy staff doesn't want to help the customers. I was traveling and needed a prescription refilled earlier than expected and even that I called with my insurance company on the phone multiple times they did not refilled my prescription indicating that was denied by the insurance for being "too soon" when the insurance representative provided an override code. Every time we called they say yes ok and then I'll get a confirmation that "no it's too soon". They even had the audacity to add a note in my profile indicating "refill too soon" to avoid giving me my prescription. I called another CVS 16mins away from this one and they had the prescription, they requested the override, they got the approval and I should be getting my prescription in one hour. What is wrong with Tarpon Springs CVS? We don't put prescriptions in your pharmacy because we don't need it. If you can't help your customers when most needed you should re evaluate your pharmacy and what you stand for. read more

Jenna helped me check out at the self serve registers. I didn't want to do it that way, but my favorite cashier was on break. Jenna needed to help the machine. It had lots of bugs and she was there to override every one of those bugs. It was fast, but not easy. It's the way of the future, and once the bugs are gone, anyone using this system loses that warm, friendly, personal interaction to which I am accustomed. This store is undergoing renovations, and the staff is making it as painless as possible to find what you need. As always, I found what I needed with and without help, and at the best prices. Staff continues to be helpful and present, always friendly. I did not use the pharmacy today, but this is where my prescriptions are filled by friendly, knowledgeable pharmacists. I really hate to write a bad review but I haven't had a single positive pharmacy experience. 7x I've had to drive there for a single medication being filled. The most recent being that they contacted my dr for a different medication without notifying me to which I'm allergic to. Tonight I went for 2 scheduled vaccines which both were confirmed, and scheduled ahead of time. Show up, sign paperwork and pharmacist comes out and tells me that she has a single vaccine for me. I said there's supposed to be two, she said no there's only one. I told her and showed her the paperwork I just filled out and the lady at the front confirmed two vaccines, she leaves , comes back and then tells me the system says they have it but they don't so she can't give it to me. In a year I've never once been able to pick up a single medication (and I'm on a lot) without problems. Go to Walgreens trust me. read more

The store itself is clean and the staff is friendly. It's the Pharmacy that is horrible!! Unfortunately the health insurance I have only uses CVS or I would never even think of using this CVS. The pharmacist thinks he is smarter then our doctors. They constantly switch our prescriptions from the requested drug to either the generic or a replacement they rather push without any communication. My son has F'n cancer and the pharmacist thinks he knows better then our oncologist!!! This is not a one time occasion, and every time it happens we have to waist time driving back and dealing with the attitude from the pharmacist and the pharmacy techs. If you don't have to use CVS and if your were considering using this CVS please don't! One other fun fact... the placement of this CVS is very annoying... if you need to get back on US-19 heading south, then you must first turn right onto Tarpon Avenue, travel to the second light, make a u-turn and then wait at Tarpon Ave and US-19 for what feels like an eternity to make the left! Try doing that after returning to the pharmacy to get the original prescribed medication. read more

I have been with cvs for 4 years now due to the great relationship with Megan and Hoang who i followed from the store at 975 Tampa rd to 1000 Tarpon ave Tarpon springs. I always rated 5 stars but today even when Rick set my scripts to be filled first thing in the morning on 4/2 the floater pharmacists would not fill them till 2 even when i told them my lunch break was 12:30 to1:30. I never in fours have had this type of not caring one bit about my needs. CVS is a decent pharmacy. Always seems they are very busy so I drop off my prescriptions then plan to return the next day to pick up. Tarpon Springs CVS is very close to my home so the convenience is what really draws me. I tend to use their drive-through service more than going into the store itself. I also like the convenience of the minute-clinic... it allows me to keep my primary MD in my home state but seek services for minor needs here in Florida. There are many pharmacies out there. This one is just super convenient for me. read more

My Dr. called in a prescription for me three days ago, I was told the prescription would be available the next day. I went in the next day, and was told they did not have it, that it would be there the next day. I again went in this morning, waited for several minutes at the counter before the pharmacy tech came over to me, only to be told again that my medicine isn't there, to check back later this evening. I tried explaining this is what I have been told for days, she then kept interrupting me and talking over me. The medicine that I need is extremely important, and is imperative that I take it every single day. I had a heart attack last year, and this is the medication which keeps my stent open. I tried also explaining this to the pharmacy tech, but she was again rude and spoke over me. I wouldn't recommend the pharmacy to anyone. Everyone is the actual store though, has been extremely helpful. The pharmacy tech must really hate her job. read more

Nicole at the pharmacy has been absolutely horrible every time I have visited this pharmacy. Her look of total distaste before even asking how she can help is bad enough, but then her utter rudeness towards her customers makes the trip all the more awful. She tells me I have two prescriptions explains the first one then starts walking away while saying "don't even ask me about the second one because I have no idea what it's about" with her back to me all the while. So not only is her attitude atrocious, but clearly she is also incompetent as well. As I was leaving I leaned over the grab the bag from her & instead of the expected thank you I was reprimanded for leaning over the table. I will never be visiting this CVS again thanks to the unpleasant nature of Nicole's attitude. I would rather drive to the next CVS 15 minutes away than go to the one down the street to avoid ever having to interact with this woman again. read more
