They're short staffed. Their existing staff runs as fast as they possibly can. It's just that they can't run fast enough to make up for a lack of people. Hey, I get it, people are impatient they have things to do. But so do all the other people waiting, helping or servicing. I just want to shout out Lenon the pharmacist who always checks to see how I'm doing, several of the techs who when they see me immediately know if I'm picking up for my kids or myself, and always are friendly, and the sales people who today kindly commented on my outfit. A second of kindness is all it takes. What do you get out of making someone else angry and miserable? And for the dude who was rude to the tech, what he didn't know or ASK, was that the neighborhood lost its power in the late afternoon until close to midnight. The pharmacy team had to do a massive catch up of orders and existing meds. Give each other grace, it's the least you'd want for yourself. Often I spot a cute sweater or jeans on Instagram and order online for quick pick up at the store. They bring it out to your car making it incredibly convenient and one of my favorite reasons to buy online. Right now it's spring and I'm in the mood to plant some annuals for immediate pops of color. Their prim roses go for $1,99 at Walmart while Freddie's sells for $3,99. I NEVER get to shop without my toddler, but since this was for Easter, I had someone watch them so I could actually shop alone. While I was in-store--basically doing the job of the employees--I thought I'd treat myself and try something on. I waited about 5 minutes for help. An employee came up, told me it was closed, flipped the sign from open to closed, and said "too bad." I explained I live 30 minutes away and rarely get this chance. She told me to just buy it and return it, then claimed no one in the entire store had a key. So either she lied, or there's a serious security issue. Imagine a situation in a fitting room where someone needs help and no one can access it--that's unacceptable. I checked out with the item I had to find myself, then went to customer service to pick up the rest of my order. They told me I had to leave the store and drive to a pickup spot--even though I was already inside. When I asked again about the fitting room, another employee said they could have opened it... after I had already checked out. I was willing to overlook the pickup issue because things happen. But the way I was treated pushed it over the edge. This store needs serious management changes. I will not be coming back to this location. I'd rather drive farther than deal with this again.

I have been using Rite-Aid for years but it seems to be dying and its customer service is already…read moredead. I put in an online request for a prescription refill and it went through fine. (I rechecked because sometimes the online system doesn't work.) The prescription was for a medication I take weekly, and I couldn't request a refill until one week before. However, when I went in to the store, already out of the medication, they told me they no longer handle this medication. Why couldn't they mention this sooner? Why didn't the online refill system flag it? But it gets worse. I went to another pharmacy to transfer the prescription and created an account there. Now several days later the new pharmacy says they're still waiting to hear from Rite-Aid for the prescription info. Apparently, no one at Rite-Aid is interested enough to pay attention to patient needs. I had already noticed they were getting slower at refilling orders and checking messages, but now I'm going to miss my medication because of their laziness. I am now in the process of switching all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. I can no longer trust Rite-Aid to have any interest in my health or the thousands of dollars my insurance and I have paid them.

So I was approved for a prescription of GLP-1 injection. When I spoke to someone at Northwest compounders last week, I was informed they needed payment before they could fill the prescription. OK, no problem. Gave them my debit number and went in today, which is Monday to pick up my prescription. It was ready, and they said it needed to be paid for. I said excuse me? I gave someone over the phone my debit card information as I was told this needed to be paid before it could be filled. They apologized and said, yeah, it looked like they didn't actually process my payment or forgot to hit a button or something. I told them this sounds seriously sketchy to be asked for my debit card number with the intent to pay for a prescription and my financial information not go to where it is intended. I hate the feeling of having to eagle-eye my bank account every day for the next few weeks to make sure they didn't double charge me. Also, I was given absolute zero consult regarding this prescription. I mean, I'm injecting myself with something for the first time in my life. Kind of wish there was a pharmacy tech or pharmacist to go over a few things with me, but whatever. They kindly put a brochure in my prescription bag with a QR code to a YouTube video on how to do it. ‍
