4/30/22 They have their own Jewelry Store?

We do not have any Fred Meyers where I am from. This is considered a "hypermarket"; one stop shop for grocery, drugstore, banking, clothing, jewelry, home decor, home improvement, garden, electronics, restaurant, shoes, sporting goods, toys, etc. Quality/Quantity - Wow, look at all the choices for the local beers!!!! Makes Safeway shameful... Atmosphere - This place is HUGE, like a Walmart of supermarkets. I think I got lost looking for the beer aisle. How do you own your own jewelry store? Service - N/A. Price - Good, cheaper than Safeway. :) Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success, Fred Meyer, since 1931 from Portland Oregon. 1931-1981 - Independent. 1981 - Acquired by KKR. 1998 - Now part of the Kroger family.

My favorite Freddy's and I shop at several of them! This store is one of the smallest which is exactly why I love it! When I need groceries, I don't want a Costco like experience. I want to go in, find what I need, get out. At all of the other Fred Meyers, especially SW Barber and downtown, you have to wander all over the store and since the footprint is so large, it takes forever. No running in for milk. Until I discovered the Freddy's on SW Pacific and I'm so happy I did! This store wasn't even on my radar as I'm not in this area ever. But today I had to pick up something at Petsmart and afterwards needed some groceries and my helpful Google assistant took me here. Yes, it's definitely a smaller store so they have less choices. For example, the clothing area was just basics. Same with home decor, seasonal and garden. I'm ok with that. I was here for groceries and there are some items I can only get at Freddy's, like their Kroger brand of ultra pasteurized half and half, which has a long shelf life. Even though it was my first time here, I was able to find everything I needed without searching. There were several reps on the floor and they were helping people. Something that is a challenge to find at other locations. Parking was easy. Access to I-5 is a few feet from the store so heading back downtown was a breeze. Will most definitely be shopping here for my basic items. It will never be my only grocery store as there are certain items I like from Trader's, Basics, Whole Foods and Zuppans. But for my laundry detergent, paper goods, canned goods, frozen veggies, produce and seasonal items, this is where I will shop.

My opinion of the sales merchandise offering was underwhelming with sale things hard to even find and a selection looking like scraps. My star rating on that is a 2. So I'm in the men's dept. Obviously looking and searching right in front of two sales associates who were yapping amongst themselves and didn't even give me a look. Then I'm approached from the side by an associate named Grant who could tell I was searching for something and offered his assistance. He showed me to the bleak sales rack and I tried on a couple of things. He was the epitome of a full service sales associate getting the right size etc. I ended up just looking with him in the full price section and after a short discussion he understood exactly what I was looking for. He brought me shoes to try and a new belt. Stayed with me right through the entire transaction, alterations and so forth. Grant was what Nordstrom has been known for in terms of service and he gets 5 stars!

I drive in from Camas, WA, and my experiences have consistently reflected the level of service and care associated with the Nordstrom name. Unfortunately, today was very different. Every April, I treat myself to a birthday shopping trip and genuinely look forward to it. In the past, I've always been greeted promptly, assisted with sizes, and made to feel welcome. This time, no associate approached me--or any of the other middle‑aged women browsing nearby. Two employees stood at the register engaged in conversation, not helping anyone. I eventually interrupted to request a fitting room, but no one ever checked on me afterward. The lack of attention was surprising and disappointing, completely unlike any experience I've had there before. I left feeling invisible and disheartened, and I'm not sure I'll return. If this is the new norm, I'll need to find another way to celebrate my birthday going forward.

Sometimes I'll stop at Fred Meyers if desperate, but this Freddy's is just too big for me and you can't just run in and out. Also like The Backyard Garden Shop which has great selection of fun and unique yard art, bird feeders, plants and so much more! There are lots of ethnic restaurants in this square. I have a few Lululemon items, but my eldest daughter (26 yrs old) and my mother (88 yrs old!) have wardrobes with a TON of Lululemon clothes. And everything lasts forever. Seriously. I have a fanny-belt bag (as does my kid and my mom) and it's nearly a decade old and as good as new (and still looks great, too). No broken zippers or torn seams or broken buckles. Still fashionable, like the leggings I got eons ago. Their fashions and the quality definitely do withstand the tests of time. I've not tried on their new running shoes as I am loyal to my Hoka brand shoes, but this store has a prominent display of Lululemon athletic sneakers and, if they're anything like the rest of their product line, I'm certain they're of high quality, and they will make sure they fit you properly. The only reason why I'm not giving this store 5 stars is because no-one greeted us or spoke one word to us while we were in the store, despite it not being too busy there when we visited. (Note: this is atypical of Lululemon stores in general. Usually they warmly greet visitors and ask if they can help find anything). My kid and I weren't in the market for anything in particular, but we browsed around a bit. As usual, they had a few items on sale, but few things were in the sizes we'd need. Still, it's fun to look, and you ever know what you'll find on the sale rack.
