They also offer services to pay utility bills. Anyway, I was there for the home health items. The pharmacy clerk also inquired if I needed any assistance. I was good. In between picking up items, I checked my blood pressure at the machine. After that, I picked up the items for a family member and checked out in the front. It's kind of weird to see so many complaints about the service here. I've always been treating pretty well here. Even taking my passport photos. There was a mom with a young infant taking a passport photo on the counter on its back with the mom shaking a foil bag of snacks to get him/her at the camera. NIGHTMARE!! they have a new woman pharmacist who apparently just started working there who is a…read moreWICKED WITCH!!! she has decided to make my life a personal hell during 1 of the hardest times in my entire life! i have just had a death in my family, a VERY close family member & i've now had to haggle w/these people for DAYS over this issue, that has never been an issue before & still should NOT be an issue at all! this is ridiculous! she's doing this just for fun apparently. a REGULAR Rx of mine that is a regular 30 day supply is suddenly NOT a 30 day supply to her! don't ask me why. my doctor wrote the wrong directions mistakenly on my rx but it was STILL a 30 day supply. i was supposed to receive it on TUESDAY, this last Tuesday. nope, didn't get it. another automatic refill i was supposed to get, didn't get that either, but that's a common thing there. they don't order their supply in time, though they KNOW people are having them filled or the supply is short or gone. they are constantly owing me the rest of rx's. u are on automated refill system, then u aren't, then u are again. u have to call them to remind them to do their job & to make sure things are in order. i've never experienced this w/any other pharmacies. deliveries are this day & that, then suddenly not. i'm' the ONLY white person i've ever seen in there! maybe there's a racism issue too? who knows? but that pharmacist that promised ME & MY DOCTOR days ago that i could get my rx today on THURSDAY now shouts at me over the phone, won't let ME speak, yet when i finally get to, SHE interrupts me nonstop whilst still shouting in my ear, tells me that NOW my rx has another NINE, then 10 day supply left when days ago i was told it's a THIRTY-THREE day supply! not 30. now this witch tells me it's a 40 something day supply though my doctor whom i had to have an emergency appointment with yesterday to remedy this. he sent in NEW prescriptions w/NEW directions to comply w/the wicked witch's improbable standards. don't ask me where she learned math either or didn't learn it is more accurate. I should have switched years ago. At this Pharmacy, the owner knows me by name. He always picks up my calls (or if I hit voicemail he immediately calls me back). He proactively calls me about medication refills. He calls my doctors (and doesn't lie about it like CVS does). Every conversation is filled with "thank you" and "I appreciate your choosing us." My medications are ready hours after my doctor prescribes them. Payam treats his clients like royalty and switching to his pharmacy has decreased my stress levels. The big brand pharmacies don't care about you or your business. I think that when you need medication quickly and safely it's important that someone does care. I'd urge anyone reading this to switch to their local small pharmacy and, if you live or work around Torrance, this pharmacy is a particularly good one!

When I went in, a rather unfriendly pharmacy tech said it was not ready. She put the prescription together and with tax it was over $300, for steroids.....Nothing exotic. In doing research for the refill I found that Chewy Mail Order Pharmacy has excellent prices, and I always get good service and great customer service from them. The EXACT SAME MEDICINE was about $8.00 from Chewy. I called Walgreens, no mistake on their "cash price" for the medicine. No refund, no recourse. Reportedly Costco has good pet med prices as well. What predatory pricing from Walgreens. You can bet I will never set foot in one again.

It opens 2 hours later & closes 4 hours earlier on weekdays, & even later opening & earlier closing on the weekends with a 30-min. lunch break from 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM. It's convenient because while I'm waiting for my prescription to be refilled, I can do some basic groceries & household supplies shopping. In the early days, I would receive texts that my prescription needs to be refilled (which is helpful when you're close to finishing, but not so great when you don't need a refill). I prefer to wait until after my check-up to confirm with my PCP if I still need a refill, a change in dosage, or an alternative that's more effective &/or less irritating to my stomach, etc. Sometimes when I'm picking up, the pharmacist will ask/remind me that I'm due for a certain vaccination, which is helpful; however, their records doesn't always align with my PCP's records & vice versa. I typically inform my PCP when I get at CVS & what vaccine. Most of my refills are completed on the same day even within a couple of hours after my doctor's office sends in the order, with a handful of occasions between 1 - 3 days. Some of my prescriptions have a manufacturer's coupon, but their POS is wonky & it may take anywhere between 5 - 30 mins. tinkering with the system to apply the discount, which is anywhere from 75% - 90% cost savings. Yikes! You can also opt for delivery, but I'm unable to when my coupon is inaccessible at time of refill. Every now & then, I would pour out my bottle to check the count because there have been occasions that my order was incorrectly filled; there's an odd pill left & I'm shortchanged 1, with 3 being the most miscount. Vaccines: 14 no cost options are offered with most insurance, such as COVID-19, Flu, Pneumonia, Shingles, Hepatitis A & B, DTaP, etc. The pharmacist may suggest multiple vaccinations on the same visit, as would your PCP, but I would rather space them 1 - 3 days if you're unable to handle the side effects. I did a combo during lockdown, & it knocked me out for a couple of weeks. ＼(｀0´)／ On occasion, CVS Pharmacy will offer discount coupons ($5 off $20 purchase) for scheduling vaccination appointments. So why not? Enroll in their ExtraCare Rewards (loyalty program) to earn ExtraBucks Rewards for pharmacy activities & earn $2 for every 4 credits accumulated, up to $50/CY. I've been coming to this location for 3+ years. Service is usually prompt, except when POS has issues retaining the coupon codes for my meds. There's plenty of parking since the pharmacy is housed inside Target, but it may be challenging to find spots near the entrance. I usually park in the back to get a few extra steps in & to avoid my car getting dinged by shoppers that don't return the carts to the designated holding spots. While the hours are shorter than the standalone pharmacies, it's still workable most days but may be busier because of its Target location. I'm doing my best to get my health back in shape so I don't have these unnecessary expenses (meaning if I kept healthy, then I wouldn't need these meds). While they fix the issue, I have other side effects that I have to endure. :-X In the meantime, CVS Pharmacy is helping me stay on track with my health goals.
