Got my flu shot here. Made appointment online. I arrived tad early, had to wait 7 minutes or more at the vaccine checkin counter since the receptionist was on a long call. But once I got checked in, the nurse in the vaccination area was ready to go. She was friendly, light talk. Checked my DOB. Flu shot was easily administered. I usually don't leave reviews but this is the most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with. I have been waiting over a week for a prescription to be filled. I went in the day it was prescribed to make sure they got it. I was told it was being processed and I would get a text message when it was ready. After two days I heard nothing, so I called. The only way to get through is the automated message system. I left voicemails three times, each time it said they would call me back in an hour and nothing so then I go into the pharmacy and they tell me to come back in an hour and it will be filled. I go back and it still not filled and was told that queue is the only queue that gets cleared out by the end of the day so it will be ready by close of business or next morning. Make that make sense. Horribly incompetent! After waiting over 15 min for one car in drive thru I go IN and wait 5 more minutes to find my prescription called in three days ago is still not ready. I now have to wait another 15 to 20 minutes for that. As I leave, I see the same car still in the drive-through waiting holding up everybody else and no one at CVS cares or tells that person to wait somewhere else so other people can be served. read more

pharmacy refused to give me the needles required for an injectable medication i have been prescribed for 7 years. I'm a military member and tricare clinics nearby have been out of needles for a month and a half and the pharmacy refused to even call to verify my prescription. The head pharmacist asked to see my vial and I showed him, and he accused me of lying because my name wasn't on a tiny vial of estrogen from when I had my ovaries removed nearly a decade ago. Head pharmacist yelled at me in front of everyone in line that I was never going to get syringes there that way again unless tricare gave me a label on my bottles as well as the boxes. He made me feel like a druggie in from of the general populace when I'm just trying to stop being menopausal at age 36. DO NOT use this CVS. There is a pharmacist there named THONG, that refused to fill one of my prescriptions 3 months ago, and he was extremely rude about it. I understand he is under no obligation to fill my prescription, but he was rude to me, my insurance company and the nurse at my doctors' office. I complained to corporate about him. I transferred all of my prescriptions to Walgreens. But because they are not open on weekends, I decided to go back to this CVS. I figured 3 months had been enough time for the air to cool, and frankly, I shouldn't be inconvenienced by a rude pharmacist. Yesterday, my doctor sent a prescription in. I called CVS and was ASSURED it would be ready by 6. It was not. Long story short, when THONG realized who I was l, he told me that I "WOULD" wait an hour for my prescription. He then proceeded to talk and laugh with other coworkers about the fact that he was MAKING me wait an hour. There were 2 pharmacists there, I waited 20 monies while watching her text on her phone and then proceed to put stock away. When I approached the counter at exactly one hour, THONG was on the phone. The tech took the tray to another tech and had her count a controlled substance. I am waiting for a call back from CVS corporate. I am transferring my prescriptions back to Walgreens and will not step foot in that door until that man is gone read more

I called to inquire about a prescription that the pre-authorization had already been done for the pharmacist was so nasty stating that the doctor needed to call. Why does the doctor need to call? If you could give this pharmacy a half a star that would be too much. I have bought prescriptions here for three years and I have never come to the counter or the drive-through window that somebody didn't act like out they were doing me a favor. There's 55 drug stores on every damn corner and these folks that work here act like they're the only business in Virginia Beach they have received my last dollar. By the way my prescriptions are around $600 a month. I Realize that my measly $600 will not cost them much but if everybody has a service and they just continue to act the way they do enough of us together should be able to make change. Greetings Yelp fam, this CVS tonight made my blood boil. So a homegirl and I walked in ok shopping for face products and the two young ladies instead of them speaking and being courteous they decided to come in every Aisle we were in, since I like to fight i decided to walk outside and let my friend purchase her belongings because one thing about It getting profiled by another person of color is a sell out move and further more these ignorant little girls could see my hands the entire time, so yea I will not be going back to this location anytime soon, they always advocate us to use the self checkout when they aren't doing anything, no work at all, "USE SELF CHECKOUT" they need to learn some customer service and not to follow people around a store when especially the customer is visibly not doing anything wrong. The worst. Absolutely. Terrible service. They never answer the phone. Never. You might as well give up, they are not going to answer, whether it's you or your doctor. You might as well drive over and be ignored in person, whether you are in the drive in or standing at the counter. Your invisibility is guaranteed. When they deign to acknowledge your presence, they will still barely give you the time of day, and never meet their commitments to provide customer service, or even prescriptions when they say they will. Prolly the worst pharmacy to try and get ahold of. Originally my doctors fault for sending prescription to this location, but it shouldn't be this hard in trying to cancel a prescription. On business traveling away from home, nurse sent here on accident, called them up and they told me everything was worked out but the pharmacy I tried getting it originally filled out at said they were still waiting for this cvs to cancel the order. Both my doctor and the pharmacy here told me that they tried calling this location and were put on hold for over an hour and never got back to. My doctor told me to then call up and cancel it myself but even though I already tried calling up... still no answer, but it was funny my doctor thought I could get ahold of anyone here if they or this other pharmacy couldn't. Wasn't until I asked my family to make a visit personally and do it that way. But this is absolute fail in my book. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy I've ever had to use. I've spent hours on hold trying to get presentations sent to me. I was never answered during this time, so I went into the pharmacy and had to wait in line for 25 minutes. They needed to transfer a couple prescriptions from another CVS out of state, they said it would take 30 minutes or so to do that. I asked them to just send all of my current filled prescriptions to me I didn't want to wait they assured me they would do that. That never happened... I again called them and set on hold and was disconnected so I called again and the same thing happened, I wasted 22 minutes of my time doing this today. This isn't the first time that I've encountered this with them. They are just a terrible place to deal with. read more

My doctor sent a prescription to this pharmacy and at 10:30 am I went to pick it up and was told it wouldn't be ready until late afternoon. So, I went home and keep checking online as to the status. At 5:30 pm I called to ask as to the status and if they could transfer it to another CVS since I really needed the prescription. The person on the phone acknowledged me by name and knew my contact information; then hung up the phone. I tried to call back and received a recording that they were closed. The person on the phone knew my name and could have called me back. The next day at 2:00 pm I still have no status. I had an exceptionally bad case of poison ivy on my face and neck and needed the prednisone to abate the swelling and itching. It was a miserable situation. I will never go back to this pharmacy. At this point I have made it through the worst part of the symptoms unnecessarily. I recommend you not use this pharmacy. read more

I get staffing shortages. I sympathize with those being overworked. But on almost every interaction with pharmacy staff over the past 2 years they've displayed rude and unprofessional behavior. Usually I would not do this, but today, I saw some thing that MUST be told. I went to pick up my RX, the young lady at the RX counter was helping a customer, the pharmacist was filling prescriptions and never looked up. The drive through had two cars, the sound system was saying "one pharmacy call" there was a person at the other costumer waiting to be helped. The young lady looked at me and said " I will be with you as soon as I can. The pharmacist never stop to help the young lady. Two more customers were now behind me. The young lady helped the drive through person. She helped one of the persons at the other counter that was there before me. The pharmacy still did not looked up. There is now four person in line to pick up RX. The young lady (Taylor) moved as fast as she could. The pharmacist did not looked up or tried to help. Maybe he was thinking that since he had a degree, he was not paid to HELP CUSTOMERS, but to fill RXs. Shame on him. I love my CVS pharmacy, but please do something to help the sale persons out, I have seen other pharmacist left their counter to help the sale person. One star is more than they deserve. my daughter was in the hospital for 2 weeks, discharged with several medications. Took her prescriptions to this CVS to fill and had to call several times to see if they were filled. The last time I called the pharmacist got on the phone and yelled at me, telling me I'm not the only one here and I needed to wait. After I told him these medications as he probably knows are ones that can't be stopped abruptly and he told me he didn't care and if I didn't like it, I could go somewhere else, he was completely disgusting and out of control. I asked for them to be transferred to Walgreen, after several more hours I called Walgreens, they of course didn't have them. I called CVS back and was told it was already done and it was Walgreens error.It was not a Walgreens error, I was told the exact time it was transferred . This was by far the most unacceptable behavior by a pharmacist. I've been a nurse for 25 years and have NEVER been talked to by a provider, pharmacist, or anyone else for that matter in the way this man, whom I've never met, spoke to me. Horrible. Very disappointing experience. Dropped my prescription off at 8 PM and was told that it would not be ready until noon the next day, which is very reasonable since I dropped it off an hour before close. However, I returned at 5 PM the following day and was told that my prescription had still not been filled, which is not acceptable. I feel that 23 hours is ample time to complete an order. The customer service was far from good. I transferred my prescription here after being disappointed at the Kempsville CVS. I got here and was given a "generic" brand of my usual medication. This generic brand that they gave me is nowhere close to being the same and has terrible side effects. Lesheryl was the drive thru pharmacy tech and she failed to notify me of this change, and when I came in after realizing what I was given, she sent someone else to talk to me. The pharmacist on duty came to talk to me and kept insisting, "It's the same thing, It's the same thing, your insurance won't pay for the other one anymore." In the end, I will call my doctor, but the way they handled it was very poor. read more
