This is a review for the pharmacy. We live super close so we've used this pharmacy on multiple occasions. I've never had a good experience here but I haven't had a bad enough to leave a review until today. My husband had a prescription sent over from telehealth on Sunday. He called first thing this morning to ensure it was received. It was an antibiotic and steroid that needed to be started ASAP. He was advised that they received over 55 prescriptions so understandably they couldn't give him a time of when it would be completed. However, he called again around 1pm to check on it. He was advised it had been filled and was ready for pick up. They have a CB lunch break from 1:30-2pm so around 2:15pm I waited in the drive thru line for about 20min with 3 hungry kids to pick it up. When I arrived at the window I was advised it wasn't filled and to go wait in the parking lot or swing back around (even though no one was behind me) and wait another 15min while they fill it. I asked why we were told it was ready and I was met with a short tone simply saying "he wasn't" I was irritated and asked if it would really take 15min... the response was that I needed to move along and go wait somewhere else for 15min and no one told us it was ready. I took the kids home and then went back to get the prescription. I waited for a couple cars. One took 15min at the window (I did time it, so I'm assuming they refused to wait elsewhere) the other car was just 2 min. I was able to get the prescription on my second visit. Although I was able to get what I needed this time, the interaction was short and definitely did not leave me with a desire to return. We've found another pharmacy to try for our prescriptions going forward, I don't mind driving farther for better service. read more

would never recommend this pharmacy, slow filling prescriptions, never on time when they are ready. Sometimes you have to wait days. I miss the days of RiteAid. Would not recommend at all read more

The pharmacy has long lines and takes about an hour to get you prescriptions . When trying to renew a prescription they send a fax to the wrong doctors and I can never get the prescriptions on time . read more

I wish I could give -5 stars.... Worst pharmacy ever, not sure if all Walgreens are like this but WOW. They're all rude, don't even try to help with discounts or giving generic brands to help out with the cost, takes days for them to get prescriptions filled, they never answer the phone, I could go on and on. Save your time and money and go to CVS, they never disappoint. read more

I've had hit or miss experiences with pharmacies at Walgreens throughout the last few years. So it's no surprise that this one hasn't been great but after having a couple of decent experiences initially, it's gotten worse. I waited a few hours for my first prescription when I was sick, with no update on status in my account online (which I never see anymore, for anything - so I then waste their time and mine by calling or going in). After going to the store, they hadn't filled it yet but told me I could come in to wait and they'd have it ready in about 15 mins. When my son was sick, we called at 2 and were told that it would be ready at 4. Lo and behold, we go at 4:30 and are told it'd be 6 now. No "come inside and we'll get it ready for you" this time, just a snarky "I don't know what to tell you, it'll be 6." Mind you, this is for a sick baby....a BABY. No empathy at all. Absolutely sucks here, and everywhere apparently. But find somewhere else, because that's what we'll be doing read more

I came here for an online curbside pickup order. I love that Walgreens have joined other retailers and offer this service. They only have one parking stall for this, but I imagine most people don't know that they offer this service. I got my order quick, which made my errands run cut short. I always use Walgreens pharmacy but after this experience I will never again. They told us my son's prescription would be ready within 45 minutes and they would send us a message when it was ready. Never received the message and the medicine was not ready when we returned the next day. We went back the following day and the pharmacy was closed, and we asked the store clerk if they were open since it was a Sunday and they just told us they were gone for lunch. We returned an hour later and found out they are closed on Sundays. We still do not have my son's medicine 2 days after asking for it. NEVER USING THIS PHARMACY AGAIN. read more

I had an atrocious situation with the Pharmacy/pharmacist that was on duty on Saturday June 1, 2024 @ 2:42pm (1200 Greenbrier Parkway) as I was told that my prescription would be a certain price before it was filled & when I came to pick it up, it was over DOUBLE the price & all the Pharmacist could say was, "I'm sorry, I must've made a mistake." Walgreens wouldn't accept my insurance but I was okay with that as long as the price told to me by the Pharmacist was accurate. I was in excruciating pain so I HAD NO CHOICE but to pay for my medicine & for that I'm pissed as PHUCK!!!!!!! I'm NEVER going to use nor would I ever recommend Walgreens pharmacy to anyone. read more

This a great location and the staff is very friendly. They always have something on sale and it pays to watch the coupons and to become a rewards member. While I don't use the pharmacy the store seems to carry more than the local Rite aids IRT food, beverages and other sundry items. Located in the edge of the Greenbrier Market Center complex this a good place to get all the various items you need without having to deal with the crush of the inner shop area parking. read more

This pharmacy is absolutely the worst. I called at 1030 to verify my child's prescription was ready when it was supposed to be ready yesterday. The person who answered the phone said for me to come pick it up whenever. I then arrive at 230 to be told to come back two hours later because it's not ready. I then come back exactly 2 hours later and it's still not ready to then be told another hour. I understand being short staffed however if you can't fill a prescription within 6 hours of a customer coming in to pick it up then maybe you shouldn't have a pharmacy. I will never come back and y'all need to improve on communication with customers and give realistic expectations. If I could give a zero stars I would. read more

Just got my prescriptions from the drive thru and the woman working was so nice. I asked if they sold Flonase in the drive thru and she said not normally, but they weren't that busy so she went out and grabbed me one. It was very sweet. I will say sometimes it takes quite a while to get your prescriptions, so be smart about what time you go. For instance, 5:00 is peak time and The line is always long. But if you go at 8:30, when I just went, it'll be very quick. Also, if you go to Walgreen a lot, it's definitely beneficial to be a reward member. You save a lot of money and you get discounts. read more

I have been to this Walgreens on two occasions. With both visits, I was helped by the same female associate that was very courteous and polite. The last time I was in, myself and another customer were waiting in line to pick up our photos. There was a customer in front of us taking what seemed like forever and asking a million questions. The female associate came over, assisted the cashier that was helping the customer in front of us, then proceeded to go behind the counter just to get mine and the other customer's photos so we didn't have to wait and be checked out. -now that's customer service. I didn't catch her name otherwise I would definitely mention it! I think she is the manager or if she isn't, she should be! read more

Walgreens located 1316 Battlefield rd. in Chesapeake VA. The pharmacies customer service is HORRIBLE. My prescription was only supposed to take 20 minutes when I got to Walgreens the drive-thru line had about four people in front of me I waited in the line for 20 minutes and the line did not move so I decided to go inside the store. When I go in there are now about six people in front of me in line so. When I finally get serviced my prescription is not ready. They got everything straight w the ins. and the young man told me that it would be about another five minutes. I sit and wait in the meantime the cashier that serviced me went m.i.a. No one ever came and told me my prescription was ready. I had to stand back in the line which now there were four people in front of me. No one ever acknowledged me and said ma'am your prescription is ready you can come up and I'll take you first. So when I finally get up to be serviced the cashier only gives me one prescription I had 2. When I asked him about the other prescription he says it's not ready and give them five more minutes. I had already been in the store for little over an hour from 5:35 and to 6:40 w a sick child. Just for some amoxicillin and abuterol inhaler. This is not the first time that I have gone to Walgreens to pick up a prescription and the line whether it be for the drive-thru or inside has been very long and it takes forever. They should know their peak times and when their pharmacy is going to be busy. If you ask me they're very understaffed and this was very unacceptable pour customer service. I will not be filling any more prescriptions there again they have lost a customer. read more

I wouldn't typically leave a yelp review for Walgreens, but I was so impressed with the customer service today that I just couldn't help myself. I went in to get some new facial products. Lately my face has just been breaking out and I wanted to try some new facial cleaners and makeup. Well, a lady named Karen who I think works as the cosmetics counter was the BEST!! She saw me looking at the random products and went above and beyond to make recommendations about new products and what would work best for my skin type. She gave me pairings, advice, tips, and let me know about the coolest new trends. She didn't have to do any of this and I felt like I was in a high end store buying beauty products. I went in for just a few things and ending up spending $120. And the advice alone was well worth it. Walgreens, if you read these reviews I hope you promote this lady. She is an asset to your company and has made me a forever customer. Way to go Karen!!!! read more

I am grateful for the Pharmacy Staff member by the name of AJ. I dropped off my prescription on Wednesday afternoon and he made sure that my insurance would cover the cost of it prior to putting in the order. Once the order was placed, he told me that it should be ready on Thursday. I went in to the pharmacy Thursday evening and there was an issue with locating the drug that I needed. it was imperative that I get this medication as soon as possible. AJ went above and beyond for me. Called around to a couple other Walgreens and found one that had my needed medication in stock. I had one of the worst experiences of my life at this Walgreen today. On Wednesday I purchased a medium ankle brace from this store. The brace was too small so I returned to this Walgreen today with the item and my receipt to exchange the ankle brace for a large. They scanned my receipt and told me that I had already returned the item. I asked, how have I returned the item when I'm standing here with the receipt and the item in my hand. They just kept repeating that the register said the item has already been returned. I got the same response when I asked for the manager. Apparently, their register must have a problem or they have some dishonest employees. Bottom line, because the register said I had returned the item, even though I had the item in my hand, I wasn't allowed to exchange the ankle brace. I will never do business with Walgreen again if this is the way they treat their customers. read more
