I would like to write about my favorite pharmacist Chris Ignacio from CVS pharmacy in Vista. When I first moved to live near CVS in Vista and often didn't know where to find the non-prescription meds, he personally would come and show me where medications are. Chris is detailed, has great communication skills, highly ethical and is always happy to help a customer. He usually provides great information about the drugs and the use of them. I wish he would be nominated the pharmacist of the year. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. The managing pharmacist Ms. Wang is rude and makes up her own drug policies. My doctor has had to call her on several times informing her she is totally incorrect. Ms Wang and the techs will hang up on you if you ask a question. A fill-in pharmacist yelled at me in front of other customers when I asked for clarification on a new prescription. I was so embarrassed I left crying without my prescription. My husband has several health issues and they text him that his refills are ready and when he goes to pick them up, they have nothing filled. This has happened several times. The only plus is the young male pharmacist Chris who is always very nice and very helpful. We switched to a different CVS and have had zero issues. read more

Just the WORST pharmacy ever. My monthly rx is NEVER filled until I call to check in on it. I am never rude and when I ask for more clarification on something because I don't understand, I get insulted and treated like I am a nuisance. They're unhelpful, unkind, impatient... I assume they are either understaffed, underpaid or both. Still that's not my problem. I've been going here for years because they accept medi-cal, but I'll be switching to Walgreens and just pay out of pocket with discount rx apps because they are WAY nicer and WAY more on top of it. I never have to call them... when they receive a prescription from the dr... imagine... they just fill it! The only reason I'm giving them one star is because eventually the get the rx filled. Clean store inside and out. Nice bright lighting. Nice layout. Easy to read signs for locating items. Shelves were well stocked. Staff were friendly and helpful. I see more visits in my future for this location. 4 stars because the one item I really wanted to get they didn't have. Some lady with curly blond short hair accused me for stealing. She would fallow me around the store and be 3 inches away from me and watch me very closely. And when my friend was checking out the employee stood directly behind him making me and my friend feel both very uncomfortable :( read more

Don't fill your prescriptions here they try to rip you off by shoving prescriptions you don't need down your throat. Can't return them after they give you the wrong prescriptions and charge you a bunch of money stupid policy. Not happy feel scammed out of money by them. They are supposed to be the ones that know what the medication is for I don't understand why they can't get it right and fill the wrong prescription and give you the wrong medication's and tell you that it is the correct medication and it's for what you need it why do they lie like that doesn't make sense seems dangerous. read more

I'm taking my scripts to a different place... They don't answer their phones. This afternoon I tried calling CVS from 4:15pm until 5:30pm and was on hold the entire time. I had to hang up three times and re-dial, but after holding on for 35 minutes I gave up. It's not only that they do not answer their phones but their Associate named Alex was rude when I went to pick up meds (that were supposed to be ready and weren't), and he easily dismissed me without helping. I despise rude people. However, it may be that CVS does not pay their employees adequate wages, or hire enough people, so what can you expect? Lots of free rudeness. read more

Please Note: This review pertains solely on the individual Not the store. The pharmacist/Assistant in question. Yesterday late afternoon I was calling the Vista CVS's as I was looking for a certain RX that was put on back ordered in further notice. I was ecstatic.that the N/Santa Fe store had it in stock. After hanging up with this individual Pharmacist or his assistant he never gave me his name I came to the realization that he just insinuated Dr. shopping. His behavior was completely condescending and was morally and ethically wrong. As I hadnt been Doctor Shopping, my script wasn't a early refill, and I'm not a drug addict. He also filled it exactly when the store closed and never sent a robotic text letting me know the medicine was ready for pickup. Still debating on reporting this behavior to the state board. read more

If i could give this star a negative review I would. I went into CVS today as I always do. During lunch period for my school. The worker Maria accused me of stealing, 1st off she approached me in the rudest manner possible. She demanded that I opened my backpack, keep in mind I never opened my backpack my friend opened hers to get her card out but set down the item that we intended to buy. After she saw that there was nothing inside my backpack she didn't apologize but instead walked off. She only asked me to open my backpack and I am a Hispanic female. My friend is also Hispanic but lighter. I feel very discriminated against because she only demanded ME to open my bag. Unhelpful and not the most friendly pharmacy staff in a store that is depressing and badly needs a facelift.

Got there around 1:30 and was told the pharmacist is out to lunch and it would be an hour. Annoying, but I walked around came back in 45 minutes and was told they'd call my name when my order was ready. When they finally called my name and I go up to get it, they rudely tell me I need to get in line now behind 3 other people. This place is disorganized and lacks in customer service. I was so impressed by the very pleasant clerk named Maria Williams. She went out of her way to give me helpful suggestions when I was trying to find a certain makeup. Is this store going out of business? Cant even give one star- but had to to post- they wasted my time with an app that ramdomly choose pics of mine to enlarge and tried to charge me 138.00 for 150 4x6 pics that would be 35-50 other places! They ended up in the basket after almost 40 minutes of being jerked around by poor lady that wasnt skilled in that area and another guy that just walked away without trying to help or answer my questions. Next day I met manager but he too could of cared less. Not even an apology for hours of wasted time downloading pics that they threw in basket . A customer who saw me said its insanity and suggested I go to walgreens. I felt I was in a tv spoof! Customer service? Not here. Poor workers said they could pass on info of an app that is not working properly but nobody listens to them. I feel sorry for anyone that works here. read more

This Pharmacy is by far the worst experience i have ever had. I think a lack of empathy is required to get a job in the Pharmacy. Not only do they not care about you as a peraon you are just a number, they dont care. On top of all of the really important stuff I mentuoned earlier the manufacturers used for their medications are 2nd rate. You could probably get better quality perscriptions in Mexico. The worat part of this is a lot of major employers have contracted with Caremark which CVS is a subsidiary of forcing the work force to go to a sub-par Pharmacy like CVS. Dont get me wrong there are a few understanding employees but for the most part they Re like robots who look as if thwy don't want to be there, lazy and irritated when you ask them a question. I hope this post helps people to avoid this pharmacy, in fact thwy dont care if you do or not. As for me personally, i have been treated worse by more important people. read more

This place is a joke. I am never coming here again. A few months ago I came in to get a prescription filled. I said I would wait. They said it would be about 45 minutes. I waited for an hour and a half and then went up to the counter to check. I was then told it would be 2 to 3 more hours. I ended up leaving and had to wait until the next day. Today I took a prescription there for medication that the emergency room had given me last night. I was asked if I wanted to wait or not. I asked how long it would be and they said about 2 and a half to three hours. I said that I would come back. I waited 6 hours and returned to the store when I got there they told me it would not be ready until tomorrow. Totally unacceptable as this is medication that I was advised to start taking immediately and had already missed almost one full day. I complained and they then got it ready in the next hour. This is totally unacceptable customer service and I will never return here for anything. I won't so much as buy a breath mint at this store. read more

I had been having quite the challenging time trying to get some of my ivf meds filled. My doctor had a preferred pharmacy they liked to work with, but at my request they sent the rx to my regular cvs pharmacy. Angelica was a Saint. She spent so much time inputting all of my meds and they ended up being covered by my insurance, which saved me over $3000. If it weren't for her kindness, willingness to help and patience, that $ would have been out of pocket!! Very grateful and thankful for her!! read more

My day started at 8:00 a.m in the morning on June 13, 2017. The first thing I had to do was go to my Pain Management Facility and have my Doctor write me a new prescription for the 136 tabs I had to bring to his office that I could not take due to a Severe allergic reaction to the cut in the pills which is Acetaminophen. The pharmacy I normally go to and the Pharmacist at the Pharmacy knew I couldn't take this particular brand or Manufacturers brand. (Roache ) So she gives me 43 of the ones I can take orally and 137 in the ones made by Roache Pharmaceutical and the cut in them is acetaminophen that I had a horrible allergic reaction too once again which was way worse than the first time. I have never ever gone to a CVS Pharmacy. I had shopped there on a few occassions, but thats it. The CVS Pharmacist was so rude and treated me like some kinda street thug. I have a Broken Ankle, Multiple Broken Toes, obviously in a cast and on crutches, A Fractured Tailbone, just went through 1 of 5 Surgeries, I had stitches on my face that you can visably see from having Basal Cell Carcinoma Stage II Cancer and 8cm of Cancerous tissue removed from my face and I'm in unbearable pain. The Asian woman behind the Pharmacy counter was so rude No one looks at you, No eye contact, No acknowledgement to those waiting to pick-up there Rx or for those waiting behind me. When she told me That my Rx couldn't be filled by them. I had asked why, I explained that I had to take 136 of them back to my Pain mgmt Dr due to a horrible reaction I have to have this particular brand and the Rx was filled on 6/12/17 and I took one of them that were made by Roache Mfg. Thinking maybe when it happen the first time it was just a mixture of something I had eaten or due to something from over the counter that I had taking. I just took one of these Tabs on 6/12/17 and within 15 minutes I was sick, throwing up, couldn't swallow very good, itchy, and it lasted for about 4 to 5 hours of throwing up, Dry Heaves and so on. So, after I left CVS, I tried Walgreens and was treated rudely and they know me very well from me shopping there and I would take someone there to fill there Rx and I had use them from time to time. The Pharmacist behind the counter at Walgreens off Melrose and Marron said we can't fill it and again I asked why. By law I can't tell you, but your account has been flagged by the Government Controlled Substance Monitoring System and I said it's a replacement for what I turned into my pain mgmt Dr. I haven't done anything wrong. He said " I would of already called the Sheriffs/Police if I thought that. Back to Pain mgmt I go. All these places will be getting very bad reviews and I am banning them for life and I'm not doing anything wrong. I didn't realize I was going to have this problem. I had to do this once before and never had a problem like this.I will never forgive "Wei" for what he said to me. It really hurt me and unnecessary. Back to Pain mgmt for a new Rx. This CVS is home to the surliest effing Pharmacy Techs I've ever met. Seriously. I don't really complain about customer service very often. I've worked face-to-face with the public for years, including in hospitals and clinics where you've got sick, injured, elderly, and generally miserable clients. I understand what it's like to deal with difficult customers, to have long days, and to be underpaid. It can suck. But regardless, I've never been rude or condescending to a customer. After the first time that I had a rude guy talk to me on the phone about filling a prescription, I was a little ruffled by it, but blew it off as a one-time thing. Then about a month or so later, I talked to the same man on the phone (he didn't identify himself by name, even though he probably should have, but I definitely recognized his voice). The guy was crazy rude for a second time. Then recently, I tried to fill a prescription for my child and (same guy) I got an attitude AGAIN. It was nuts! Back in November, I was in the hospital having a baby. My Obstetrician prescribed me a few medications to take after having my baby. I decided that I only wanted to stay in the hospital 24 hours, so she called in my prescriptions to a pharmacy that day. The next day on the way home from the hospital, I called the CVS to make sure they had my Rx ready. This guy was like "Oh you've got Medi-Cal? And it's for pain meds. Figures." WTF? I didn't say something smart-assed to him about it even though I felt like it, because it really isn't worth it to get in a fight with someone. I just told him that I had given birth the day before, and the pain medication was because I had a lot of sutures (not that it was any of his business). It was pretty obvious that he was treating me rudely because of the type of insurance I had. Then in January, I was calling in a prescription at around 4:00 on a weekend. I asked how long it would take to be filled, and he said an hour. I told him that would be great, I would come get it in an hour. Then he said, "Well we close at 6, so maybe you should just get it tomorrow." I was like, "well I will be in at 5." Then he just said "OK whatever," and hung up the phone! Just recently I had the misfortune of getting this guy on the phone again when I called to refill my husband's asthma Rx. I couldn't do the automated prompt to enter the Rx number because the prescription was an inhaler, and the actual inhaler itself did not have the prescription number on it. I dialed the extension to talk to someone from the pharmacy, and I told him I needed to refill a prescription. Before I could explain why I hadn't done the automated prompt, he just said "Well you should have done the automated refill. Did you listen to the instructions?" Umm, I don't need to be scolded! I said yes I had, but I didn't have the prescription number. "It's on the bottle," he said, cutting me off again. I then explained it was an inhaler, and he sighed heavily, and then begrudgingly continued to "help" me. Seriously, dude, it's not like I'm not interrupting you as you are on the edge of an amazing scientific breakthrough. I'm not coming to your house and bothering you in your free time. You are paid to go to work and help people. You are not paid to give people attitude or extraneous commentary, or treat us like we are stupid or beneath you. We don't need you to comment on the nature of our prescriptions or the type of insurance we have, and what you personally think that must mean about us. If you don't like working with the public, get a different job. I feel really sorry for this guy's coworkers. He's probably a total ass to them too. I also feel really badly for the elderly people who come in to this CVS. I hope they get to deal with someone nicer than this guy. I'm actually so tired of dealing with this dude that I'm moving my family's prescriptions to Albertsons. read more

This location could most definitely use a refurbishment as almost every wall suffers from peeling paint, missing sideboards and the floor looks like it needs a good cleaning. Having said that, I'm not there to sleep so it really doesn't bother me much. The customer service has always been friendly from the checkout employees to the pharmacy technicians and I've always found what I needed. Can't beat that it is right down the street and in the same center as my chiropractor and grocery store. read more

I really don't like going to this CVS. First of all, it is right across from Rancho Buena Vista High School, so if you go in the afternoon, it's crowded with a bunch of teenagers, who frankly, aren't really buying anything anyway. Secondly, the service at the checkout is horrendous. Usually, there is only one cashier and they are slower than molasses. It doesn't help that they also have to bag the items. Other than that, there's nothing special about this CVS. The Pharmacy is faster than the front, so it's a bit better because of that, but other than that, I don't see any benefits to going to this CVS. read more

We been using this pharmacy for 18 yrs. The pharmacy employees has been customer orientated from time to time, but in general have a very lousy disposition. I requested extra information about a brand prescription,well, how dare do I asked for it, the oriental looking technician ( race for ID only) was upset,you could read her body language and attitude. She wrote the amount of the brand on the paper with big numbers, indicating her lack of professionalism. I'm planning to speak with the store manager,have the pharmacy employee present as well as the pharmacist. These employees need to understand, we don't go to a pharmacy to buy " party favors", we go because we are sick or we have a family member who is sick, these employees should have an empathy, and professional attitude, their jobs depended in our purchases there. Human Resources department personnel should spend more time recruiting the "right, person for the position. If I don't get satisfactory solution, I will changed to Wallgreens. read more

Interesting visit today. I went in to purchase a 12 pack of beer I couldn't reach it on the shelf so I went and told the associate Nina that was working. I just happened to be the only one in the store. When I asked her to assist me she acted put out and said she couldn't leave the front end so I asked her if she wanted me to go to another store. She then asked me to watch the front end for her while she went to the back and got the 12 pack of beer. Extremely poor customer service skills. read more

Never printing out photos here again. I printed out my wedding photos and about 20 of them had striping on them. they tried to say it must be my photos but I paid 5k for my photographer and they are legitimately flawless. there is NO striping on these photos from when I have printed them at other locations. No wonder CVS has to offer 50% off of prints to get anyone to order photos from here. read more

This store is horrible. I had purchased a product there two days prior and had a receipt. I took the product out of my purse with the receipt and was seeing if they had a smaller version. You could tell it had been used and there was some lipstick on the bottle and no cover. I put the item with my receipt back in my purse and here comes Operational Manager Nina got pursuit adter me. She says " Open your purse and starts to push my cart against the makeup wall. I'm like Oh my God. You have got to be kidding me. She kept me pinned as I was trying to get to the front. She said "you stole that (that what) Nina. I took the item out of my purse and tried to show her the receipt but she wouldn't look at it. I told her to an on hand count and they didn't have it. Because I bought the last one two days prior. She was telling at me so everyone could hear. I couldn't believe it. Then she says I'm calling the police you will go to jail. And then she said I'm going to call the other CVS and have you thrown out. I have been a Loss Prevention Officer for many many years so this a NO brainer. You don't attack a customer in the store. You don't attempt to detain a customer before they have left all points of sale. I made numerous co complaints to get this resolved with no answer from corporate. She has now threatened me. on the phone when I asked for a trespass on paper. In not done yet. The investigating News gets it next. read more

Hated to give this RX even a 1 star. After retiring I requested all my RX to be transferred to this RX as its close to where I live. After the transfer occurred Pharmacy asked I drop off my new insurance card and give them a weeks notice to refill my RX (my orig. one was for 90 days) they needed to be 30 days. After calling this morning I ran into the most unprofessional rudest person at the RX I think this is the same person that has been rude and acted like I so inconvenienced her before. This female told me I did not have insurance on file, this after I had already visited them with my card a few weeks prior and they mistakenly refilled my RX earlier??? Going to Rite Aid ( 4 miles farther) so to be treated professionally and empathetic as ALL customers should. Avoid this mean uncaring can't be bothered RX go anywhere else. Hmmm. If I could give zero stars I would. I guess the single star is awarded simply for "existing." I went to this CVS after ordering photos online. After arriving there was a very apologetic sales person at the registered who informed me that their photo printer was down and that his manager must have gotten too swamped to call and let me know. The photo manager then comes up to the front after I ask to speak to her and I tell her that my confirmation said they would be ready an hour before I even got there and that I was frustrated because no one had even called me to tell me that wouldn't be the case. I asked if I could transfer my order to another CVS since their printer wasn't working. She said she couldn't do that. I then asked if I could cancel my order. She said I couldn't. What? Anyway, she said she'd try to get the machine to work and that if it did it would only take a few minutes to print. After another 15 minutes, she got the photos to print finally and handed them to me. I ordered 5x7 prints and they had a white border around all of them. I asked why they had a white border and she said, "I don't know. It's just the paper that we use. It's 6x9 paper and it's always been like that." I responded that I'm a photographer and I've never ordered a certain size of prints from a photo lab and been told to cut them myself. If someone orders 5x7s I'm pretty sure they want 5x7s and not another size. So bizarre. In any case, this isn't life shattering by any means, but this CVS photo department is one I would DEFINITELY AVOID AT ALL COST. read more

I am a big fan of CVS and usually feel like it's the more upscale option in pharmacy/convenience stores. This location though? Awful. Most of the products are picked through and out of stock. It always looks dirty and seems deserted. The employees always take forever to ring up even a couple items, and the counter is almost always unmanned. I go there because it's a block from my house - but honestly, this location is making CVS look bad. read more
