I went in to Yelp to see what the pharmacy hours were. I ended up looking at their reviews. I usually read negative reviews first. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I hope the customers have sense enough not to trust some of these negative reviews. Two sound like they came from the same disgruntled person. This is a good pharmacy with fine people working there. Being in need of a COVID Booster led me to the Carlsbad Village Pharmacy, and being a former ED RN Manager, and former wife of a cardiologist. I have found the friendliness of everyone there to be a welcome change from, for example, Costco Pharmacy where there is no direct connection. Additionally, inquiries may be made in private. Dr. Adam, thanks for the excellent flu vaccine and booster. As suggested by Dr. Chong as well, see you for shingles in December. I also want to express my gratitude to Mom Debbie for her recommendation of the French Pastry Shop next door. The gluten-free, dark chocolate with almonds was delicious. It had been a long day by the time I reached this pharmacy and had spent $1000 (over 2 days) out of pocket on a dental emergency for a loved one. The pharmacy was filling filling prescriptions. Their quaint location and mom/pop style caused me to believe that perhaps I would pay more. Upon arrival, I notified the staff that I just wanted the antibiotic, everything else wasn't needed. The gentleman in back immediately let me know that all three would only be $35. I'm sure my attitude was poor, but this staff was so kind. I truly needed 'kind' at that moment. This was a fully staffed pharmacy with at least 4 staff behind their counters. The shop, with over the counter medicines on one side and medical supplies on the other with an array of awesome greeting cards in the center. I first learned of this pharmacy through residents of downtown Carlsbad. Kinda a hidden gem. Adam took care of an immediate need for my husband who has type 1 diabetes about a week ago. We called around closing time and he went "above & beyond" to fill his prescription. This customer service rarely exists any more. We were extremely appreciative. Jim & Adam always come through for me including with ordering extra products. & they are always are on top of my timely Rx medications and I can trust them to order medical assistant products I.e. canes large foot for canes & kept my unlabeled nonID cane for weeks until I went to buy another one lol. We were visiting Carlsbad for an anniversary trip and decided to try to get our booster shot. I emailed the Pharmacy to confirm it was possible to get the vaccine and they immediately responded. The entire staff was excellent -- informed, warm, efficient. Adam is a vaccine pro -- my husband and I could not believe his perfect technique. In addition, the pharmacy was stocked with a range of specific medical equipment and over the counter medicines. Great local pharmacy in the Carlsbad area! As a Pharmacist myself, I always prefer to support the independent pharmacies. This place does everything right! I have relatives that live nearby and have recommended it to them. It is a small locally owned pharmacy and they have the great personal attention for all of their customers that independent pharmacies are known for! The owners are very helpful and friendly! Great selection of medical equipment as well! That's often hard to find! They also provide delivery which can be very helpful to anyone who is very busy or unable to leave the house. I love this new pharmacy! They are located in the village and in a very convenient location. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet! The wife is a doll and the husband and son are kind as well. Their shop is extremely clean and professional. I called when I was in a hurry to head out of town and Adam was able to fill my prescription in 5 minutes, amazing! It was at least an hour when I used Costco. This pharmacy is wonderful. I'm glad I switched to a mom and pop shop. Dr. Adam is superb. He remembers your name and is very friendly and patient in going over instructions for the medications. I don't see myself going to another pharmacy unless I'm in a bind. They do have limited hours though. If you have an emergency and need meds over the weekend, make sure your doctor has called in to the pharmacy that is open or you will have to wait until the next business day.
