I stopped shopping at CVS. For years, I had all my prescriptions filled at the Tacketts Mill location in Lake Ridge. I have a 2nd insurance coverage and advised them as such. However, they would never process the remaining balance through the secondary insurance. Finally, when I retired, I paid more attention to this issue. I confronted them so many times about pursuing the secondary coverage. I complained to their corporate office, but no change. Finally, I had it out with the pharmacist. I caught her in a lie. She claimed she called it in but no one returned her called. My secondary is covered by 911, and they are very responsive, especially to doctors and pharmacists. They never have to call you back. They help each caller during a call. I told the pharmacist this. When I went back, she refused to fill any prescriptions from me. I complained to corporate and other governing entities. Then, I switched to One Hanson, on old bridge in lake Ridge and never experienced any problems with getting my secondary coverage to this day, July 31, 2023. read more

The pharmacist was very rude, she didn't let me talk. Just was told the medication wasn't there. It was for my Son, I gave them my ID and his medical card. She looked it up under me instead of my Son. So after an hour, and my pediatrician had to call. And I had to tell them to pick up because she was calling. They had his prescription there the whole time. Was told that I didn't say it was for my son. Is my son not my child. No apologies, just that it's my fault for her mistake. read more

The worst service ever! They told me my insurance is not working when I know for a fact that's it's active. On top of that, they made me wait forever and didn't even give me my medication. The pharmacist is extremely rude. Avoid at all cost. Arrived at 8:43 PM with my prescription that I needed filled that same night, and I assumed everything was good, because the pharmacy didn't close till 10 PM that night. WRONG! at the drop-off counter she immediately says, "If you need that prescription filled tonight...it's definitely not gunna happen...we've already started inventory!" It's more than an hour and fifteen minutes before the pharmacy is supposed to close! They are rude, lazy, and clearly don't care about anything except making it home in time to watch March Madness! Like, bitch your bracket was busted day 1, sit your ass down. Bottom line is...I'm never going back and I encourage everyone to do the same! Stay away! Period. read more

I would give this location zero stars if I could. This location ONLY provides flu shots to CHAMPVA insurance holders. The Pharmacist "Madelyn Hercules" exclaimed that they do not take OptumRX for prescriptions, but will honor it for flu-shots only. I do NOT recommend sending Veterans and their dependents to CVS. She also expressed that maybe Walgreens has the contract with the VA. The awful thing about this is that I waited almost an hour, only to be told that they do not accept this insurance. It's frustrating because the OptumRX website lists them as an in-network pharmacy. They have zero customer service skills and lack the ability to process refills efficiently. Subpar location. Their shelves are consistently depleted. Their pharmacy staff is very inattentive. They will continue to work although they made eye contact with and fail to acknowledge you. After leaving the bathroom, a clerk told me that a person with COVID-19 was just in there using it. She explained that it was cleaned with bleach but still wanted me to know. Why I'm putting 1 star is because CVS should have a policy in place for employees to shut down areas of exposure to prevent any outbreaks. Not simply clean it with bleach and call it a day. Well the store looks like a warzone at 145pm. Not many customers and all I was trying to do was get my prescription. Had yo use the restroom but the sign said out of order even though employees were using it. The reason I know that was the access door was locked but I could see through the side glass. So meanwhile i am waiting fpr the pharmacy to open up and doing the old man have to use. the bathroom dance. I asked the pharmacist why they lock the bathroom. She said they have to say its out of order because shoplifters clog the toilets with empty packages. If I want to get access the manager might help me but he is across the store. If I could give zeros stars I would. This place is nothing but bad experience after bad experience. The pharmacy works are completely rude and if you call in your order and need it the same day forget about it. My husband called in his meds at 2pm on a Wednesday and they weren't ready till 10pm that night even though they told us that would be ready at 4pm. If they see you getting low on your medication and you have automatic refills they won't call your doctor until after you place the order & come to pick it up. They'll then inform you that you don't have any refills left and you need to call your doctor to get one & they won't even give you a partial refill to hold you over. This place is completely run down and sketchy. I seriously wonder about my safety when I'm in this store. After years of being with CVS I've finally convinced my husband to move to Walgreens. read more

Just left the hospital with my daughter at around 3:00am and this was the only pharmacy open at the time. Walked up got the counter and got ignore for 5 minutes to then be greeted and told the computer "needed to reboot" and it would take 45+ minutes to bring it back up and fill the prescription (mind you, the place was empty). Have him the slips, gave me lip about insurance info and walked back to the computer. At this point it was really late and just wanted to get her home. I was willing to just pay for the meds but the pharmacist was just shrugging is off and kept saying it was expensive and wouldn't give me a price. Needless to say, I got other meds and left. I agree with all the negative comments. I changed my previous pharmacy to this one due to the fact they're open 24 hours. HUGE MISTAKE!! The pharmacists and technicians are rude, unfriendly, and useless to the say the least. If I have a question I feel like they're doing me a huge favor by answering it. Just recently I informed them of a medication I needed because my son is hypoglycemic and was told it's too soon. I explained to them that I usually get 2 bottles of the med and only received one (I figured they would just give it to me when it ran out). I said I would pay for it and was immediately told it's too expensive. Are you serious? I said that's fine how much and was told the price was over $164 and change and he said something and immediately hung up. Wow!! I had no idea what he said but I'm changing all my prescriptions to Walgreen. Also, the late night pharmacist is always rude never seems happy. Ask a question and she seems annoyed. Even though there may be 1-2 people there she seems like she's overwhelmed and if she's being bothered. does no one need to use the restroom after dark? why is this a "thing" in woodbridge? i went into this store and a walgreens (which i will be leaving a review for too) while i was traveling with my infant. i'm a young mom, and traveling alone with my infant is scary, let alone the standstill traffic on 95 in the middle of the night. my gps took me on a detour and i ended up on this road. i saw a cvs sign and on their window it said open til midnight. i went in and looked for the restrooms and nothing. i walked up to the pharmacy and asked her and she told me i'd have to go back up front and ask.... what? do you have one or not? anyways i went back up there and the gentleman was checking people out in self checkout.... sir, it's a SELF checkout. if you don't trust people then turn them off and check people out yourself. he was halfway through the group of guests in front of me when he looked at me and said something intelligible and i asked him to repeat himself. he said "what do you need" i responded "do you have a restroom" to which he responded, "it's out of order." do the people in woodbridge not use the restroom after dark? you're telling me after dusk there's no restroom? that RIDICULOUS. read more

This review is based solely on the pharmacy. I usually like to look at the whole store and my whole experience, but the seriousness of what happened forces me to concentrate on the pharmacy. Throughout my travels I've always used CVS for filling my medications. While in travel status it just made things easier, knowing that more than likely you'll be able to find a CVS. So - when I first moved to the area I saw this one. Had not read the reviews on it; just assumed that it worked like any other CVS. I had a few prescriptions filled, and would usually pick them up in the daytime. Never had a problem. Well - one evening after going to the ER I realized that this CVS was open 24 hours. I provided them the prescription and sat down to wait for it. I remember specifically that I was in so much pain, and the meds that the ER provided had started to wear off. The pharmacist provided me the prescription, asked me if I had any questions. I said no, paid for the meds and was on my merry way. Now usually, I'll take the medication right there in my car and then drive home. But for some reason I put the meds in my purse and drove home. As I was approaching my home (I live about 10 mins away), my cell phone starts ringing...and unfortunately I didn't see that it had been ringing for some time. I answered it, and the pharmacist told me that they gave me the wrong medication and could I turn around and return it. At this point I think I didn't comprehend what the hell she was saying...gave me the wrong medication??? How is that possible? Come to find out, the medication that I had was ALOT stronger than the medication I was prescribed. I turned my car around and returned the meds to receive the correct ones. Here is my problem with this situation, and I addressed it with the pharmacist: 1. What would have happened if I would have taken the meds? I hate taking pain medication because of the way it makes me feel. My doctor was fully aware of this when he prescribed my original medication. 2. What would have happened if I would have had an allergic reaction to the meds? 3. I'm not even too worried about myself, because somehow I could have gotten to the ER if I would have any issues...and more than likely it would have taken a bit to work its way into my system - but what would have happened if this happened to someone's child? She provided no answers. I took my new medication and left. Now that I reflect on this, this situation is VERY dangerous. I admit that I'm not a medical person so I had no clue what I received initially. But that shouldn't be my problem. I trust that the pharmacist has taken the necessary time to check and re-check all meds given to his/her customers. So now as it stands, I will never use CVS. I now use Walgreens, which I've never had a problem with. I actually like how Walgreens has a way to text you when your medication is ready for pickup. I'm not too sure that CVS has that. read more

I recently moved to the area, and contacted this CVS to have my regular RX refills sent to this new location. During the entire conversation, I felt like I was being rushed. The pharmacy tech seemed rude and cut of each statement I was making. She made me feel as if I were interrupting her day. Luckily, I did not need any medications right away. I could not imagine dealing with this staff if I were not feeling well... I have used CVS for years, but my old location had a great staff who were empathetic , friendly, and efficient. I guess the name does not guarantee the level of service... time to find a new pharmacy. read more

I have had more than 1 really, really, really bad experiences in this store. The pharmacy staff ignore you, even when you are standing at the consult or drop off window. I don't expect cartwheels when I drop off, pick up or want to discuss a prescription, but a person who has some idea of what customer service means would be nice. I'm not sure what the issue with this store is, but we made the decision last week to not use it, unless it's 3 a.m. and our 5 year old is running an extremely high fever and we are out of tylenol or motrin. I know in the scheme of things they won't miss our business, but when you have continued bad service I have a hard time using that store. This is the closest store to us, but even with the gas prices today I'll drive a little extra to speak with someone who doesn't act like I'm in line for them to give me a prescription and I'd better take what they are willing to give me, wrong prescription or not. With all the people out of work you would think that CVS could find staff that are happy to have jobs. They are a 24-hour pharmacy, but the area is sketchy in the evening. read more

Don't use this pharmacy!!! They have miscounted and misplaced controlled substances in less than 7 days... The lost my prescription for a narcotic and the best I could get out of them is that the prescription wasn't there and they don't know what happened to it. I was willing to overlook them miscounting a prescription that I use occasionally, but losing a prescription for a narcotic is unacceptable and points to very serious internal problems in how they are running this pharmacy. read more

I tried to give this pharmacy a chance MULTIPLE times but I've reached my limit. This is the most USELESS CVS I have ever been to. Previous reviewers are correct in saying that the drive through window is a waste of time, because none of the pharmacy techs use it! Today is the third time my doctor has called in a prescription and I've been given the run around about picking it up. I have been waiting to pick up my medicine for over 5 hours. Not only did someone not come to the drive through window a few minutes ago, but when I went into the store to pickup my prescription, the tech looked at me as if I was in the wrong. I called and was placed on hold for half an hour before even attempting to pick up my prescription for the 3rd time today! I hung up once I was in line at the pharmacy! I'm 6 months pregnant and extremely moody but this is too much. I don't ever plan to use this pharmacy again and would suggest that any of you stay far away as well. read more

Just wanted to convey what happened Monday night. I rushed to get my brother and his friend to the Greyhound bus stop across the street from Southern Virginia (210 miles) so they could pick up their "printed" tickets from the Station Store (that closes at 9pm). Lots of traffic in Richmond and Fredericksburg, but we arrived at 850pm, but no one was there. Called Greyhound and they said they had to have a printed ticket. I went to the Pharmacist in this CVS across the street and asked if there was any way I could email him these tickets and he could print. He said, absolutely not - no outside connection. He said talk to the manager in the front - which I did. She said - there is no way they could connect to my phone and thus couldn't help. I said, I'll email it to you or if we could just go to Greyhound.com, put the confirmation number in it will pull up the tickets. She said, they don't have any way of connecting with the outside. I think this level of customer service is nothing short of pathetic! There is no way you are going to convince me she could not help - she just chose not to. I don't need any corporate garbage answer that they have policies to protect their employees as I clearly was not a threat, and even recommended - if they have internet, them connecting to Greyhound. On a lighter side, the Greyhound Driver did allow them on the bus after looking on my phone they both had paid tickets. Thanks Greyhound! read more

Every month They have problems having my prescriptions. One excuse after another. They will give your prescription to anybody else that walks in the door. I've been getting the same prescription since 2007 and I am going to change from this pharmacy and I wouldn't Recommend this place to any person to go in it!!! This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I called 3 days ago to fill a prescription and was told they didn't have it in stock but would order it so I could pick it up after 2pm the next day. I went through the drive through the next day and when I pulled up they told me the same thing again and that they would order it for me. I let it slide but today I came in physically to the store and they still did not have my medication. I obviously expressed my disappointment and the lady waited til today to say that it was " discontinued" from the manufacturer. Ok so how come I wasn't told this the first time I called or the second time when I tried going through the drive thru? Every time I have came here it was always a problem. and not to mention how rude and nonchalant the Hispanic pharmacist who's name I believe is Katya was. clearly she has no type of customer service experience and is poor at communicating with customers.
