Rudest slowest employees ever. You literally have to ring the buzzer 10-12 times for anyone to give a crap and then keep on honking for them to come out. Then when you go in they're in plain sight not doing anything but on their phones and blatantly ignore people standing right there. This new girl there is so friggin weird and slow. read more

The first time I went there, there was so much trash I thought it was closed and abandoned - but this is not the case. The pharmacy employees at this location are always happy and helpful, and most importantly this location always has the prescriptions I need. They are one of three 24-hour CVS's near me, but the only one that consistently has my meds. If you're looking for a CVS in the area and can see past the trash and junk in the parking lot and around the store, this is the one to go to. UPDATE: Things have changed since I left this review. Since this time, they've taken in autofill and are way understaffed. Many of the customer service folks there are now rude (many are very nice); and they always seem to have trouble getting my meds right. Wrong prescriptions; wrong number of refills; getting them in consistently; always texting me that they're filling a prescription that they never do and seems to permanently be out of stock. And they no longer answer the phone. You have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back. So I've been getting that prescription that CVS can't get for 6 months now from Sam's Club. Guess what...they're consistent, always have my meds, communicate well, and actually answer the phone. Now I'm transferring all my meds to Sam's Club. Goodbye CVS. read more

I stood in line after 7pm waiting for my mom's meds that cvs texted me about at 9am. Received lots of meds but not the right ones. Went home and had to turn around and come back to get the proper meds. Gave us meds we didn't request, too. Next time, I came through the drive up window and was told I had to wait 15 minutes for the correctmeds. So, I left the drive thru because it wasnt fair to others if they waited on me. Parked and immediately received the text that the order was done. Had to go inside to get the meds. Complained and was told they have no power over the automated system. However, the script was only filled because i asked for it. CVS, something big ought to happen so you can get better. Get your heads in the game! read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The pharmacy was fine but the two store employees that were working on the evening of August 14th at 11:27pm need to go through racial sensitivity training. I felt like their behavior towards black people was very insensitive and rude. read more

Great to have a 24 hour pharmacy. Not so great to wait in line here. Best to use pharmacy after hours when all others are closed, but be prepared to wait during regular business hours. They are conveniently located across from Underwood Hospital. CVS store is on large-ish size. As always in CVS stores, the best post-holidays specials here! Stock up on Xmas paper 75%off the week after or buy a belated Valentine's day gift on the cheap. As for the location, it really is NOT in a bad part of town. However, I personally find that all 24 hour stores & pharmacies tend to attract the seedier underbelly of population. C'est la vie! read more

The WORST pharmacy to deal with! They never have your meds ready, and even if they say they do, they don't! If they don't have it in stock they won't tell you unless you ask and it's up to YOU to call around to other CVS pharmacies to see if they "maybe" have your medicine! What if they need to order it your medicine? Well it's a complete circus of a guessing game of when you will actually have your medicine! The staff is BEYOND rude and ignorant and act is if you are a bother to them. Do yourself and your family a favor, go elsewhere! read more

The Pharmacy staff is very friendly and they do their best but they clearly don't have enough help. They randomly close the drive thru when it's too busy. This results in crazy lines inside. People waiting a half hour or longer. I'm lucky enough on this visit I was not sick and I was ok to get out of my car. But for some people who are sick or disabled, finding a drive thru pharmacy is important. Closing it can be a major inconvenience. I feel for the employees getting yelled at by some customers. But I do understand the frustration towards the company. This is my second CVS I've used and the other one had the same staffing issues. Clearly the company doesn't do much to adjust. It's a shame because the employees deserve better. read more

You can't beat having a pharmacy/convenience store that will have your order ready by the time you arrive from your dr, who sent the prescription electronically.... They have plenty of items on sale weekly, and always seem to have the time to help you personally whenever you have a question concerning your order.. Being open 24 hours a day, even on holidays is a good look also... read more

I recently started using GoodRX since my mother has no insurance. EVERY prescription I've picked up from CVS has been a different price than the GoodRX website. I always have to wait while the techs reprice it. Today I was quoted twice the price on the app and was told, "No, you're looking at the price for 10 milligrams, this is the price for 5 milligrams." The price was double for the smaller pill!!!! I transferred to Walmart and got the right price. I won't be back, CVS. read more

I realize this pharmacy is across from the hospital and is always busy, however CVS should staff it appropriately. There is ALWAYS a wait - even if you call 2 hours after the doc called in a script and they say "give it 20 min and it will be ready". An hour and a half later - still not filled. The CVS on Red Bank on Ave in Woodbury is scary place. I drop off prescription for my son and they said come back in hour. I came back in one hour, and they said I told boy that drop the prescription off to come back in two hours. I kindly replied that it was me a woman not a boy who drop off the prescription and if you can't tell a woman with breast and long hair between a boy who is 5'11, I don't trust you handling my sons med's. I later call them to check to see if the prescription was ready for the second time and they said 'your son pick them up' I replied my son is in bed sick. Then they realized the med's was there all the long! Don't go to this CVS just keep driving. They will steal your prescription and the parking lot will damage your car with all those crater pot holes! read more

Every time I go to drop off or pickup a prescription I spend at least 20 minutes in line. Never once had I been able to be "in and out of there." The biggest issue appears that they're understaffed and/or not given enough hours to have sufficient staff. They always have 2-3 pharmacists and 3-4 pharmacy techs, but that's not even enough to meet the customer demand. Recently they even had to close the drive-thru due to being short staffed, which resulted in a 30+ minute wait in line and customers had to wait over 2 hours for prescriptions. Wait is arguably longer if you have to call. Incredibly frustrating that I spend over 40 minutes total in line for both drop off and pick up just go get 1 or 2 inhalers. Unfortunate that they're the closet pharmacy but looking into others since this is an issue each time I come to the store. read more

Just moved in the area-- I know this CVS, as far as RXs go, is the busiest in the area due to the hospital. I've never had an issue. My dr was supposed to call in an rx and for some reason they never did- but CVS was helpful and nice about it. As far as the rest of the store- has never been too busy, check out was quick and associates were helpful. read more

Incredibly crowded, avoid it if you can. The upside is it seems like the workers have a good rapport with the customers. But as a first-time customer, it was terrible. When I arrived at the counter, I was told they needed further information in addition to the pharmacy card I had left the night before. They neglected to call me after I had left, which would have completely avoided this 40 minute wait. read more

I went to Rite Aid for YEARS with no problems. Insurance changed and now only CVS. There is ALWAYS a line at pharmacy that is 5-8 people deep every single time I go to fill my scripts. 2-4 pharmacists and 4 techs is NOT ENOUGH HERE. Everyone seems to be busy talking or looking down to avoid eye contact with customers but only 1 line open. Pharmacists taking drop offs not filling scripts?? Someone always going on break even if line is 8 people deep! This is right next door to the hospital and open 24 hours. I am going to West Deptford next time! read more

Just in the last 2 weeks I have been here multiple times. My primary care prescribed me something for anxiety side effect is seizures, I have epilepsy, guess what the pharmacist caught that and didn't fill the prescription. My neurologist prescribed me a drug that is a controlled substance, I didn't know and was taking too much my doctor just kept sending in more refills, guess what pharmacist caught that too and stopped filling the prescription. Yes it is the busiest pharmacy I have ever seen with being 24 hours and right across the street from a hospital. I believe the company is making money hand over fist because they are severely understaffed to keep up with the demand. The employees are so nice if I was them I would dread coming to work dealing with people who are sick and in pain now having to wait in the long lines of a hot store aggravates them and they get nasty. Yes, I will keep coming back because they saved me on some really close calls overlooked by the doctors and because the staff is so nice. I would've loved to have given you 5 stars but because of those long lines and the frustration that comes with being stuck in the store surrounded by those other unhappy customers I couldn't. read more

Good suggestion for visiting CVS in Woodbury NJ 08096... 1) Realize how many work behind the counter and their titles. Have all your information with you. 2) Remember they are human too, we all can't be perfect so, yes we need to learn some people skills. 3)Gone to CVS is a math problem. Go to another pharmacy. i give up on this cvs...i have waited 40 min to 80 for scripts...always a problem....understaffed....long lines day and night

Great store for beauty products and vitamins etc but not great for prescriptions. Frankly I am a little mad at them right now as I have been waiting on a very important prescription since 3:30 this afternoon. It is now 8:02 pm and I STILL have not heard a word from them. The staff here needs to get their shit together. 3/4 of my family regularly need prescriptions filled. It's always the same story when you drop it off. "You can wait for 20 to 25 minutes or we'll call you later on when it's ready. ". This really means that the waiters in the store get top priority and those who decide to wait at home are at the end of the line where you'll wait several hours or several days depending on how hard they feel like working. Anyone could see that this store is super busy so they do have some right to be a bit slow, just not nearly as slow as they are. A pharmacy needs to be fast and effiecient. And I am a young person myself so I hate to sound mean but every pharmacist here is young, like fresh out of grad school. I feel that it would be better to have an equal mix of young and old pharmacists to blance the equation. All i'm saying is that a pharmacist with experience will be much more quick and efficient. My suggestion would be for the pharmacists to get together and figure out a system to speed things up. If it weren't for the convenient location we would probably switch to another pharmacy. read more
