This CVS is decent. Went in to buy my Olly multi-vitamin gummies, and they had a buy one, get one free on various supplements. That's a bonzana for me. Went in to buy just the multi-vitamins... came out with calcium gummies, immunity gummies, another brand of vitamin gummies, iron gummies 10 bottles for the price of 5. read more

Came here today just to pick up a prescription. I called before going because the prescription refill date online would leave me a few days short. The young man I spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and was able to change my refill date accordingly. When I arrived at the CVS, the pharmacy line was long like always. There were two women working the register, one in particular looked moody so I was hoping not to get her. Thankfully I got the happier cashier, she got me in and out, was also super kind. Her name was Denise. I hope she continues to work in the pharmacy department. read more

This CVS is probably the worst ones I ever been to. The checkout line was INSANE and one of the workers had the nerve to argue with a customer about picking up her photos. She stood in line waiting just to be told to wait in another line. All she wanted was to be helped but this guy wanted to argue. What happened to the customer is always right?! Instead of arguing with her, maybe get on a register and help! He was beyond rude and seems as he can not handle working in customer service. He should be fired. The man processing prescriptions couldn't possibly be less competent at his job. An assistant pulls my Rx (an antibacterial cream). She gives it to him already in a bag. He's clicking away at the keyboard like he's a hacker while talking to himself. He then says "we have to reprocess your insurance so we can't give this to you. It'll be another half hour". I ask if I can pay in cash. He says "we don't have it. I say "I'm literally looking at it in front of you". He says "well central wants me to reprocess you and it'll take just as long". How? If I pay cash and no insurance is involved, why would it take another half hour to reprocess me? read more

This place is the worst, the Pharmacy doesn't give you information when they don't have your prescription in stock. I had to check on line to see what is taking so long. Then when I check it says that's my prescription won't be ready for two day. So I guess I should suffer in pain without my antibiotic. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Decent CVS. This location was built in the former landmark Nathan's spot (another Nathan's was built) after being across the street a few years ago. Standard CVS stock and selections. A little bigger/wider than other spots and this location has two entrances/exits. They're open 24 hours for added convenience. For those that use the pharmacy, they're also open 24 hours. It's good for those late night runs for either an otc remedy or just a snack/drink. Employees here were friendly enough. Parking is decent as there's spots in the front and rear. They share the space with other businesses, most notably Nathan's and PM Pediatrics. All in all a decent CVS location. read more

Ok so after my 1st review I received a call from a manager to discuss what I put up and OMG!!! This store just doesn't get it!!! The WORSE store ever, NO workers to help you on the floor. The PHARMACY even worse!!! If you need medications filled PLEASE DO NOT USE this store!! This has to be the WORST pharmacy in the area. Pharmacist who was on duty on 11/6/23 made a mistake on the prescription and because I questioned it, she threatened to call the security. I just flicked the prescriptions to her and told her to keep it. She was obnoxious with absolutely no people skills. Why should I be kept waiting? My time is money as well. I pay for my prescription and am not asking either her or the incompetent at the cash register for a handout. An explanation was all I asked for but received a threat instead. read more

This is the worst CVS; not sure why the medical profession continues to send their patients here. They are extremely inconsiderate of patients that are in pain and just returning from surgery. They really do not know how to prioritize and re-prioritize. If they are over-worked and under-staffed perhaps CVS corporate management staff should consider opening/re-opening another location on Central Avenue. Pharmacy staff is rude over the phone and in person and don't really care about people who need their medications. It might be open 24 hours, but it's the opposite of convenient. I had a prescription sent on Monday afternoon. I called on Saturday morning to make sure it was filled before making the drive over. They said yes, they'll fill it. This rating is not for the store, but for their best tech, Tai. She efficiently uses two registers to keep the line moving and ensures everyone is up to date. I'm amazed at how she remembers some customers and their kids, always showing kindness. When I heard her say goodbye, my heart almost stopped. If she leaves, I leave. Whenever she's not there, I leave because the other techs lack urgency. Customers frequently thank her and try to tip her, but she always refuses. She deserves a raise and to be a manager. I've seen her help customers during her lunch break and assist at the registers when the front is busy, even getting the keys to open the locks. I've never seen another pharmacy person do that. When she walks in, customers flock to her. I haven't seen her much lately, but when I saw her yesterday, guess what? No line. When she's at drop-off and has no line, she jumps to the register to help. Multifaceted is the word--this store needs more techs like her. read more

This CVS is cool. It's very hidden in the same parking lot as Outback Steak House. The only down side is that they are not open 24/7 like the one up the street. I feel that this one is less busy than the one noticeable on central avenue read more

This 24 hour CVS is a casebook example of how this chain is not anything like what it once was. First, they are horribly understaffed in the pharmacy -- there was only one pharmacist not only dispensing medication, speaking with customers, directing staff but also giving customers both the flu and COVID booster vaccines. Sheer insanity. Plus, the reason my prescriptions were not refilled was their system had three different accounts for me including an out-of-state address where I lived almost a decade ago. I had been visiting this location for 4.5 years and no one had ever asked me about this. While ill, I waited over 2 hours for them to prepare these meds, surrounded by 20 other customers also waiting. I contacted my doctor about this and she recommended I find a small, independent store and give up the big box stores. That's the last time I go there for anything but a greeting card! read more

I use the cvs app and it's absolutely pointless. It reminds me to refill my prescription and when I do it says the pharmacy will have it ready for me in 1-2 hours. I show up to the pick up counter 12 hours later "it's being made right now"mind you it's just a pack of pills. Every single time I've placed the order online and still come in to wait 20+ minutes for my pills. No apologies, no rush, just seems to be routine here. Second poor pharmacy experience in less that 3 months. I have DC37 prescription benefits and have used a number of chain pharmacies over the years due to work locations and moves. I'm certain that I have filled Rx's at the CVS on e161st for example. So when I tried to fill Zithromax for pneumonia during the legionnaires scare, I was surprised that they wanted the card(which is just a piece of paper now--cheaper. In an effort not to grow old waiting, I offered to pay CASH, and was sent BACK to another line. I gave up after 20 minutes. Yesterday, at about 10-10:30 pm, we tried again. My wife had gotten a robo-call that a Rx for our daughter was ready. She goes in, is ignored by the pharmacy staff for 10 minutes, and is finally told that the Rx may NOT be ready and that there is no "profile" for our daughter, so go wait in the OTHER line. Behind someone ELSE who was being ignored. REALLY? How, and WHY did we get the call, then. And why is making jokes with your co-workers about "past your bedtime" more important than "I'll be right with you" or "welcome to CVS someone will help you soon" or SOME acknowledgement. read more

Not the best CVS but not the worst. Good for connivence and that's about it. The location is good and I've never had an issue with finding the items I needed. Not filthy or terribly clean. Sometimes the line at the register can get a little backed up but what can you expect from a drugstore? Employees are friendly and helpful but often seem tired out. It's not their fault however, there should be more help on the floor so no one person gets overwhelmed with the customer traffic. Very nice and clean, one of the best Ive been to. They had a variety of makeup brands, and many other products. The employees were very nice and helpful when I needed help on finding things. Was happy that they even had up to date products that didnt look like it was siting some place for decades. Ive been to a CVS in an area close to be that this one would put to shame. I think this was a good one to visit. They even changed my mind about joining their rewards plan. I was happy to know that they were having a buy one get one half off sale what seem like the whole store. read more

Don't buy milk here or even other CVS around here unless you want to throw half away or return it and get an attitude, because it goes sour 4 days before sell by date! Buy milk in ShopRite and 2 days past sell by date milk is still fresh and tasty! Don't know how or where they store it before they refrigerate it but milk left out unrefrigerated shortens shelf life drastically. All of CVS's around here have worst help! I went into the store at around 9pm on 3/17. The store was very clean and well staffed considering the cov19 state of emergency. I have to admit as a congestive heart failure survivor I was frantic about entering a public store. Mary the cashier eased all my tension and fear with her charm! She truly cares about her customers! She even informed me that the credit card machines were sanitized hourly. It looked brand new !!!! Kudos to Mary for a great experience. I'll definitely be coming back once this blows over to give Mary another visit !! Keep up the great work guys. read more

Need medicine? Tough. If this is where you have to get it, welcome to hell. They never fill scripts, and if they do, it's on their time. Forget if they sent you an automated one saying your script is ready. Forget if they told you one hour. Or two hours. It means nothing. When you ask why? "Well we're 3 days behind", or "we're understaffed" or "yea corporate knows and we get no help". I'm sorry what? This place is absolutely awful. CVS has made this their unwanted bastard child store. Come in and see for yourself. Literally. Go stand at the pharmacy at any hour of the day and listen to person after person complain that their scrips were called in hours and hours before but not filled. On top of it they never answer the phone at the pharmacy. After 10 minutes on hold I got a "CVS please hold" 20 minutes on hold I hung up. This review is purely for the CVS and the photo department, not the pharmacy. I've been getting my meds refilled in this location for few months now and I can't complain about the pharmacy section. Yes, there will be lines depending on the time of the day you come however they usually work fast and very helpful IN THE PHARMACY section. Yesterday, (12/17/17) was one of those experiences when I couldn't help but warn others. I love and chose this cvs as my pharmacy because it's open 24 hours. Regardless of the time you come, there will always be boxes and crates in the aisles. I am currently pregnant and I wanted to make copies of my ultrasound for my family members yesterday. There's 3 machines in this location ; 1 was being used by a gentlemen who was looking completely lost , 1 was out of order, 1 was open. We looked behind and around for Assistance for about 15 minutes, no one came. Another guy came (customer) asking me what I'm doing and I told him that me and my husband were trying to figure out how to make copies. He knew little English and said ok , is there no help here ? I said no. He went away. After trying to figure the machine out , we put our only ultrasound in the scanner and it got jammed and it ruined the original!!! It said it can't read the file , please try again. My husband saw the tip of the photo sticking from the scanner so he tried to salvage it and pulled it but now it is all wrinkled and scraped. I picked up my meds and the whole 30 mins we were there , we did not come across 1 worker, not even a person that stocks shelves. I was steaming at this point and we just left. I highly recommend not going to this location if you need any assistance or for photolab. read more

I've never witnessed such disrespect, chaos, and utter stupidity. I honestly do not understand what has happened to this pharmacy or cvs in general. It used to be a very well, very nice, cvs. Of course the lines in the front have always been busy but the pharmacy. I mean I have never witnessed such rude individuals just looking for a paycheck when dealing with peoples medication who have true life threatening conditions. I would do yourself a favor find yourself a pharmacy or rx that delivers or a small chained family owned pharmacy because this is honestly out of hand. You call and try and speak to someone your on hold for more than half an hour and when someone picks up who works in the pharmacy and is only there to get a pay check and doesn't give a crap about what they have to fill or what it's for then what should I accept but utter disrespect, hung up on, not only that but then to tell someone from multiple employees yes your prescription is being filled, no it's not being filled, yes it's being filled I'm sorry we didn't fill it, to "no it's not being filled" finally to HAVE IT FILLED. I know you employees who work in the pharmacy here at 2290 cvs pharmacy do not genuinely care about the customers needs or the prescription bottles your filling but we come to you for a reason and your driving that business away. So I suggest to cvs to thoroughly understand and get to know who you are hiring to represent your big business chain not that you even give a damn. I just felt the need to let you all know if you plan on waiting on line for 2 to 3 hours or being hung up on, waiting on hold, and being disrespected you should definitely come on down to this cvs chain! If I could give a zero I would. What a joke. My doctor called in my prescription on Monday I tried to pu on Tuesday afternoon (late). Prescription not ready even though I received a text that it was. Went back later in the evening to pu and they couldn't find the prescription. Waited another half of an hour and the finally found it!!! The sad reality is I witnessed several people trying to pu their prescription's get completely disrespected. I don't know who is managing this location or for that matter, if anyone is. I am a senior sales person and I would never treat my customers like that. RESPECT your customers especially the seniors & ex-militarily because wo their sacrifices u wouldn't have a job. To the senior management team at CVS....I am appalled that you allow this behavior to exist. Correct the problem (now that u are made aware, if u weren't already) otherwise customers old, young, veterans & everyone else don't allow them to treat you like this. You deserve better than that & if you don't get treated better...vote with your wallet & take ur business elsewhere. Somehow I think that might get their attention or maybe not. read more
