Meanwhile, Chicagoland's air quality has been hazardous due to the Canadian wildfires, and I was actively struggling to breathe. When I finally got a text saying my prescriptions were ready -- like some kind of gift from above -- I went in and they had lost my inhaler. I was in the middle of the worst asthma attack of my life, terrified, and asked if they could issue a replacement. They said no, they had to find the lost one first. I left, panicked and gasping, and went straight to the ER. Today, my doctor canceled the inhaler script at Walgreens and sent it to Jewel-Osco instead. She even tried to call Walgreens to rip into them -- they didn't answer the phone. Jewel had everything filled in 20 minutes. Then I go back to Walgreens to get the nebulizer solution and -- guess what? They hand me ANOTHER inhaler. I told them it was canceled. Their reply? "Oh! We didn't notice. Now we have to find your nebulizer solution. We don't know where it is." I'm done. I will never, ever use Walgreens Pharmacy again. Their incompetence isn't just frustrating -- it's dangerous. This isn't messing up an order at a drive-thru -- this is life-saving medication. They shouldn't be trusted with anything more important than greeting people at a Walmart entrance. From now on, I'll tell this story to anyone who will listen. Walgreens should be ashamed, and honestly, shut down. I hope they go bankrupt. Jewel-Osco, on the other hand? Efficient, kind, and competent -- the polar opposite.

Reviewing a Walmart.... Didn't think I ever would. Growing…read moreup in Chicago we really didn't have one of these in the city, only in the suburbs. I had heard stories about these stores and I always avoided them. Now I live in a smaller town and Walmart is the only store where I can get everything and it's 10 min away. This store is ok. I love that I can shop at home and pick it up at a time that works for me. I've never had an issue with my order and it's always been ready for me at the time I requested. I also ordered for home delivery once and I didn't have an issue with it. Walmart is nothing fancy and the service can be great and it can be bad. Doesn't stop me from shopping there. Prices are ok and it's convenient to do all my shopping in one place. I've also started using the auto department. I've been getting my oil changed here for a year now and I've had no issues. I go first thing in the morning and shop. I have not had to wait more than 45 min for my car to be done. While I prefer Target, this store is closer to me and the prices are a bit lower. I feel like some customers there are worse than the employees they complain about. You know what to expect when you walk in. Beware......

Customers really need to pay attention to expiration dates when using Walmart curbside pickup. In…read moremy experience, employees appear to pull the items closest to expiration first. I placed a curbside order on May 16, 2026, and was given a product that expired in January 2026. That is completely unacceptable and presents a legitimate health concern. To Walmart's credit, the refund was issued immediately, but that does not change the fact that expired food should never make it into a customer order in the first place. There is also a chronic issue with missing items and damaged canned goods arriving with large dents in the sides. At this point, we avoid ordering produce entirely through curbside because quality control has been consistently unreliable. My hope is that Walmart sees feedback like this and takes it seriously, because customers should not have to inspect every item in an order just to ensure it is safe and undamaged.
