I am absolutely furious. I submitted refills for my nebulizer solution and inhaler on August 1st. For four days, the pharmacist sat on them -- not because of insurance or doctor issues -- but because they chose to delay it. Meanwhile, Chicagoland's air quality has been hazardous due to the Canadian wildfires, and I was actively struggling to breathe. When I finally got a text saying my prescriptions were ready -- like some kind of gift from above -- I went in and they had lost my inhaler. I was in the middle of the worst asthma attack of my life, terrified, and asked if they could issue a replacement. They said no, they had to find the lost one first. I left, panicked and gasping, and went straight to the ER. Today, my doctor canceled the inhaler script at Walgreens and sent it to Jewel-Osco instead. She even tried to call Walgreens to rip into them -- they didn't answer the phone. Jewel had everything filled in 20 minutes. Then I go back to Walgreens to get the nebulizer solution and -- guess what? They hand me ANOTHER inhaler. I told them it was canceled. Their reply? "Oh! We didn't notice. Now we have to find your nebulizer solution. We don't know where it is." I'm done. I will never, ever use Walgreens Pharmacy again. Their incompetence isn't just frustrating -- it's dangerous. This isn't messing up an order at a drive-thru -- this is life-saving medication. They shouldn't be trusted with anything more important than greeting people at a Walmart entrance. From now on, I'll tell this story to anyone who will listen. Walgreens should be ashamed, and honestly, shut down. I hope they go bankrupt. Jewel-Osco, on the other hand? Efficient, kind, and competent -- the polar opposite. read more

Terrible customer service. Drugs are ALWAYS out of stock. I know it seems this is out of their control but it is not. If I need a drug, they have the ability to have it arrive to their store prior to my refill date. The customer service sucks as they trpically don't make this happen. Worst Walgreen's in the Yorkville/Oswego area. Went in for my Covid booster and flu shot. Waited 25 minutes past my appointment time and they were not busy. They ask me to sign the release form and the pharmacy associate puts the pen down on the form for me to use and then picks it up and takes it back leaving me nothing to use. No indication of where to get a pen and ignores me when I ask for one. Then when asked to wait 15 minutes after the vaccines I decide to look at magazines. I see some for meal prepping near the register and I'm paging through them. The cashier asks me if I'm ready to check out and I explain I'm waiting the 15 minutes after my vaccines. She says "Well you can't look at the magazines unless you buy them. " I couldn't believe it, I was actually ready to purchase the one I had in my hand for $12.95 because they give you a coupon for $10 rewards if you spend $1 or more on the day of your shot. This Walgreens is right by my house. I frequent it when I need any prescriptions filled, any over-the-counter medicines, late at night, etc. I recently went through the drive-through to do a COVID-19 test. I waited over half an hour past my appointment time because of how slow the line was. Once it was my turn, it went fairly quickly. They're very straightforward about the test and told me it would be about a 24 hour turnover. it has been over 24 hours and still no results. I tried calling them and I get a message saying the people working there won't have my results and can't give them over the phone. Then it hangs up on me. I've also had some problems with customer service at checkout up front. There is at least one employee there that looks absolutely miserable there. She makes passive aggressive comments and customers can hear her. She is blatantly rude to customers when they are just trying to get in and out. The pharmacy is severely short staffed. It's a disaster over there. But it's walking distance to our house, so...‍ Gas is too expensive to be driving to any other Walgreens. read more

Low Functioning Employees with very poor attitudes toward customers. Employees could not handle simple tasks, and their Shift Manager Dana was not much help either. Overall, they gave the impression I was Bothering them by trying to make a purchase. No effort to help customers whatsoever. No problem.....Target and Jewel are a short drive away. This review is for all the Walgreen's I have ever been to, it's easier to write for one then all that I've been at, unless a Walgreen's is ever not fitted for this review. Like all the Walgreen's I've ever been at, they seem to be well stocked, clean, friendly, lines are always long it seems at anyone of one the Walgreen's. This is not a 24 hour Walgreen. It has a pharmacy and they close at 10 pm.6 pm on the weekends. They are always stocked. Helpful, friendly, and it's very clean. read more

I had a scheduled covid booster shot for 10/25 at 8:10pm. I live 19 miles away and no one bothered to call me to let me know they were out of vaccine. The same thing happened to me at their Montgomery location. This location gets a zero for lack of communication and follow through. read more

I have been trying to refill a prescription 3 times now. We get an automated call from Walgreens saying it is READY .....then when I go there to get it, they say I need an insurance card, even though they told me the last few times I did NOT need to bring it since I am now "in the system" Well they keep giving me this same story. This might be the worse Walgreens location I have had to deal with both as a healthcare provider and customer. They take an incredibly long time to fill Rx's and can't do most things like update insurance through the driver through. It's worth driving further to avoid this location. read more
