Right from the start my email was answered and I received a phone call from their receptionist to assist in scheduling an appointment with MIKE. The very next day I had a meeting to discuss the numerous trees, shrubs, branches, and limbs that I needed removed from my property. Not only did the communication go well, there were a number of terrific suggestions made, to clean up my landscape/property , that I hadn't even considered. What a fabulous experience!!!! I can't say enough about the timeliness of the appointment, the professionalism and superior CUSTOMER SERVICE. Luckily, for me, the quote given was within my budget ...including access to a monthly payment plan. I was told the work would be accomplished in the next few days and that I would receive a phone call to confirm. Excitedly, the company communicated and put our project up the for next day. There was a full team of men led by RABI who worked tirelessly and professionally to cut, trim, and execute the very styling I had requested. The entire staff was respectful of my property; I couldn't believe the PRECISION with which they manicured the trees in my personal oasis; you would barely have known that they were there, as cleanup was absolutely perfection. Very bad communication. Mike came out and gave a quote on Monday (first the desk person told me he…read morewould just be calling in Monday to set up a time to come out, what I got was a call from him on Monday saying he would be at my house in fifteen minutes, that lack of communication should have been enough of a red flag). He then pushed for me to schedule for the job to be done that Wednesday or Thursday. I told him I needed to talk to my wife as the job was going to cost $4,000. He told me that if i agree to it, he will put it in the schedule, but I can cancel it if needed, no worries. I agreed but asked for it to be scheduled the following week instead of this week. On Tuesday Night, I looked over our finances and other projects and decided we needed to push this project out. I reached out to Mike on Wednesday morning and told him I needed to cancel and would have to look at doing this in the spring or summer. He pushed to keep the job, when I told him I can't do it at this time, he wanted to know what the other projects were and then flipped out claiming the work was scheduled to be done that day (Wednesday, two days after the quote) I never agreed to have work done this week, he never reached out about scheduling for next week, like I had requested or even told me he planned to do the work this Wednesday. He just planned to show up without my knowledge or permission to be on my property and start cutting down trees. Avoid this company at all costs.

We had 8 huge pine trees and probably 12 other medium trees. The pine trees had become a bit…read moredangerous to my house and our neighbors. Given the size of the trees and the tight space I couldn't fathom how they were going to pull this off without property damage or taking days to complete the work. They pulled in a 6 or 8 man team with a huge crane and knocked did most of the work in one day. My neighbor and I were very impressed. They were smart about the logistics (ex used masonite/plywood sheets to protect my driveway from the crain, etc), safety conscious and I think the price was fair (given the equipment needed and the danger). We had a tree that made our yard look like a cotton field. I called and got a very quick response…read more Mike was at the house a few days later. We explained we wanted four stumps ground down and the tree removed. Mike told us how he would enter the property, level the area, spread the shavings and explained his equipment. He gave us a very good price and we agreed to the work explained. Within the week Mike was grinding the stumps and spreading them, making this piece of our property look like a beautiful path to the backyard. A couple days later they removed the very large, messy tree. Mike even brought more wood chips to have a more finish look to the area. It looks so clean. We are very pleased and would recommend North Smithfield Tree Service. They are professional and their customer service is outstanding.

Awful experience from start to finish. They never showed up when they said they would. Showed up…read morerandomly one day when I wasn't home. Some of my belongings were in their way, so they took it upon themselves to throw the items out of their way. Breaking 2 ceramic planters in the process. I got home and asked what was going on, as they weren't expected to be there that day. The owners son was a jerk. Communication was AWFUL and so were the people!! (This is the short version to share all the boring details)
