It was my first time and as soon as I went in, I was greeted by a happy and friendly staff that led me to a tablet to check in. After, he led me to my locker with my name on it. I found a cyclebar water bottle inside to keep and they provided free rental shoes. The whole 45 minutes of class was very challenging and gave me such a work out. This place is so wonderful. I initially signed up for a free trial class, which turned into a free trial week, which turned into purchasing a Black Friday additional two-week special. I think I've skipped one day in three weeks. Within the past year, I've become somewhat of a fitness junkie, and I'm always interested in trying out different boutique fitness classes. What I did not expect was to love Cyclebar as much as I did. Gabrielle's classes are the absolute best, and the soundtrack is always BUMPIN'. The studio is so thoughtfully designed, offering complimentary coffee, tea, snacks, and showers with every toiletry imaginable. Really love this cycling facility. As a local resident who previously cycled elsewhere, I always wished for a cycling bar in town and was so happy to see Cyclebar join the GC neighborhood. The staff is really helpful; they explain everything thoroughly every single class; there is ample crew to help you get situated unlike the previous cycling facilities I frequented - you really feel @ home here. Cyclebar always offers fun classes with different spins (theme night, LIVE DJ RIDES -- literally the best -- VS nights) and the teachers are SO motivating. I have taken classes with almost every teacher and I have nothing bad to say. The place is tip-top and offers awesome amenities(free snacks, chapsticks, mints, waterbottles!) ; and finally one of the most important things i thin is the value: it's so wonderful to be able to afford something you enjoy ! Where i cycled previously it posed an extraordinary class-rate (no discounts for students) and not much better for their packages. Spin was never my thing..I'd gone once back in Dec of 2017 at that well known studio all over the city & elsewhere...fast forward to Saturday, March 24th, my 2nd ever Spin class at CycleBar Garden City. Since the 24th I've been to 6th classes, not because they're free (I've joined as part of the Founders Club) because it's a family. I cannot believe it has taken me this long to write a review for Cyclebar! I am absolutely obsessed with the workout, the location and the cyclestars (instructors). Your first intro class and first class are free if you have never been before, which I think is an amazing model. I know it can be daunting and scary to try something new and the fact that there was no risk/cost added a little something extra. Since, I've been back multiple times and have signed up for unlimited classes (with a summer special) because I am addicted! The location is clean, inviting and warm. They have lockers you can use to hold your stuff and showers for afterwards if you're running to work or something afterwards. When you walk in you are greeted promptly by a staff member and you check in on an ipad. Once you confirm you're there, your shoes are already waiting for you in your cubby that matches your bike number. How cool! The actual cycling theater is trendy, clean and for the amount of bikes in there, pretty spacious. The classes are 45 minutes, but throughout the instructors are motivating and so positive that it flies by. Not to mention, the song selection is always on point! They even have themed rides and they can set up group rides. It was so easy to set up a group ride with some of my students during their student staff training for a fun outing. I also love that you get a water bottle during your first ride to bring back and refill at each class. They sometimes have coffee, snacks and food at the different rides. I think what is most addicting is that you can keep up with your stats throughout the class and at the end, you are emailed your class rank, avg RPM's, Average power, etc. You can literally see how you are progressing every class by logging into your account online. I am a numbers gal and this is beyond motivating to see how much stronger I am getting each and every class. Maria and Kalli definitely push me to do my best each and every class!! I am so excited to share my experience with CycleBar! I had never cycled before joining this studio, so prior to my first class I was a little anxious. However, my fears were quickly eased as the helpful staff and instructors explained how to adjust the bike, the correct riding positions/posture and everything else in between.The studio is very clean and the faculty could not be more kind and informative. The water bottles, water station, cycle shoes and other amenities are amazing perks that help create a great experience! I was also pleasantly surprised to find that CycleBar promotes a full body workout, incorporating arm routines into each class. Kalli and Gab are awesome instructors who will motivate you from start to finish and keep each class fun and engaging! First off, what a great business model to offer free classes the first two weeks. I went to my first class this past Monday with a friend, and we had an absolute blast! When we first walked in, we were greeted by the lovely girls at the front desk who walked us through how to check in, showed us where our shoes were, and asked if we had any questions. We were given a free water bottle (which we were allowed to keep!) and escorted into the studio. Our instructor Kalli was the cutest thing I've ever seen. She was so nice, and pushed us through a tough class. She was inspiring, and just plain fun. I'm not the biggest fan of cycling, but the bikes at cyclebar coupled with the glamorous studio and amazing music make this workout addicting! Cyclebar garden city blows soul cycle out of the water!! This is the best place to go for a fun workout you will love! My mom and I have been taking classes here and we are addicted! The staff, owner, and cyclestars (instructors) are incredibly friendly. They truly have it down to a science here so you have the best experience possible. Upon walking in, there are iPads you use to check in for your class, and it tells you your bike number. The bike number corresponds to your cubby number, where your shoes will be waiting for you (you input your size online when you sign up). Then, they provide lockers (with attached locks) to store your shoes / possessions before entering the cycle studio. They always have water to fill up your complementary cycle bar refillable water bottles with, and almost always there are fruits and granola bars out there. We've gone to "lunch rides" where they put out salad for you after class, and "brunch rides" where they have bagels, coffee, and mimosas. The rides are so fun, and you get a really great workout in! I was lucky enough to have been able to try out this class for a Yelp Elite event but ever since that fateful ride, I have been pretty much hooked. First off the space is beautiful. Clean and immaculate every single time I have been in, whether it is morning, noon, or night. You are immediately greeted by the wonderful and friendly front desk staff who help direct you to the multiple check in screens located to the left or who help to manually check you in. In order sign up for class you create an online profile with all your basic info like height, weight and shoe size so when you get to class your cycle shoes are already in your coordinated bike number cubby and you are good to ride (PS they don't charge you for shoes...just saying). You can drop off your stuff into the lockers which by the way have a flipping USB port in them so you can charge your phone because....life. There is a draft system for water and it gives you the option for cold or room temperature which is one of the many reasons I love this place is because I am a weirdo who prefers room temp water. Oh did I mention they do super cool themed rides (90's hip hop, live DJ ride, Christina vs. Nicki Minaj, Evolution of Britney Spears) but that they also offer Wine Down Wednesday, Happy Hour Fridays and a Brunch ride on the weekend, complete with bagels and coffee. Once you make it inside to the actual studio, you find your bike and get situated. There are always a couple of staff members inside the room to make sure everyone gets the help they need for bike adjustments and/or scrunchie emergencies. One of the key things that sets this apart from other cycle classes (that shall not be named) are the personalized stats. On each bike is a screen that shows you calories burned, resistance, power and speed, etc. At certain points of the class the instructor will turn on the big TV screens located on either sides of the studio so you can see the other all rankings and stats of the entire class. Although this feature is amazing and definitely pushes me to try my hardest it is not a deal maker in terms of why I come. This class to me is just like 45 minutes of pure sweat therapy. The instructors are all incredible and engaging, motivational and have great taste in music which is crucial, so no matter what class you end up taking you are in for a treat. After class you get high fives followed immediately by an e-mail that has all your stats and ranking for the class as well as a link to the playlist you just heard. How flippin cool is that? Answer, it is really flippin cool. You drop off your shoes on the rack, throw your dirty towel in the hamper and you are ready to conquer the rest of your day/night. And if it just so happens to be Wednesday at 6:45 pm you treat yourself to a glass of wine and some cheese because gosh darn it, you're worth it. It isn't one thing over another that makes CycleBar amazing, it really is the whole dang package. All the way from Lee (the incredible owner), to his amazing staff, to the space, to the technology and also the free cheese this place really is the best of the best. Took my first class today at this brand new ultra state of the art spin studio. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff, they were quick to give me a tour of the facility and tell me everything I need to know. The instructor was fantastic, she did a phenomenal job at motivating everybody in the studio. The sound system is amazing, crystal clear and at just the right volume. They offer you anything you could possibly need for spin class, including a new twist on traditional spin classes. This is the only cycling studio I have tried out that is on that SoulCycle level. And to be completely honest, I like it better than SoulCycle. I never thought I'd say that. I have tried any and all cycle studios within reasonable distance to my home, my office, and my vacation locations. Let down after let down after let down. NOT CycleBar. The experience is incredible. It's the first thing that will whisk you into a heart-eyeball-emoji state. You walk in the door and you can sign in with a person or a tablet...a millennial's dream. You will see about unlimited smiles and happy faces greeting you and pointing you in the right direction. When you input your shoe size into their website to register for class, they have your shoes ready for you in a locker that has your name scribbled all over it, welcoming you to your first voyage. And they provide a free reusable water bottle, filled with filtered water which you get to keep. And it holds about 100 oz of water. It's perfect. I may have imagined this, or it was a coincidence, but the bike I registered to ride was set exactly right for my height. These are things (free shoe rentals, bike set up, the works) that SoulCycle and other studios charge you for or requires some kind of $$$$$$$$ VIP membership. The studio itself is dark and lit up with red. There are employees all over looking to help you get set up. Friendly and kind, just like the greeting when you arrive. The bikes are top of the line. The shoes are a bit different than I've used at other facilities, but they're still fairly easy to use once you get the hang. The ride I first attended was a 90's hip hop ride and it ruled. It was led by Jamal. I would 100% go back to his classes. The choreography was easy to follow and he was motivational throughout the class. I've noticed that from the front desk to the instructors to the owner, a major effort is made to learn the names of the clientele. This is super important. They do all the "little things" right at CycleBar. And all the big things, too, if you can't tell how i feel about it. I think what pushes it past the SoulCycle experience for me is the stat piece of the class. Your bike has a screen attached that lets you know your personal statistics - your resistance, your power, your speed, etc. This helps you keep pace with the music and instructors suggestions. It also tallys up and, at the instructors discretion, is shared with the class on big TV screens on both sides of the studio. It adds a competition element that Soul is missing. This is also how some other cycling facilities operate like FlyWheel and, to a lesser degree, Swerve. But neither of these two studios create the full package that CycleBar does. And, they send you ALL your stats as soon as class is over. Calorie burn and mileage will have you jaw dropping if you push yourself. I'm super into it. It allows you to measure your progress...and that's always something I'm looking to do. The class I took was at 9:45am on a Saturday. There were bagels, coffee, and of course their filtered water on tap available for anyone to nom on and rehydrate to their liking. Also a gif photobooth for hilarious sweatie selfies that you can email yourself after a ride. No confusion on what to do with your shoes after. Everything is clean. OH. And there are USB ports in each and every locker. C'mon!!!!!!!! That rules. They also offer a monthly membership at a price which is totally worth paying if you know you'll go often. They seem to support local business, as there was a little pop up apparel shop going on. All things considered, I am over the moon for this place. Only thing that stinks about it is how far it is from Huntington. I would 100% be a monthly member and would cycle my brains out every damn day if this existed closer to me. Or close to my office. But considering the owner is as friendly as can be, maybe there's pleading room. You NEED to check this place out. And you have no excuse - the first class is FREE. read more

I just signed up for their unlimited monthly plan as this spin studio is THAT GOOD. I spin here 4-5 days per week during the winter as I cycle outdoors the rest of the year, so this is a no brainer for me. The front desk staff is always welcoming, all the instructors are equally excellent and motivating, and the studio itself is a step above their competitors. Even a couple of 60 minutes classes each week. The Management is equally amazing. Each bike has Heart Rate (very Important) amongst all the other metrics, and your stats are emailed to you as soon as the session is ended, along with the instructors playlist. The Locker area has free coffee or tea, healthy snacks including bananas and fresh fruits, chilled or room temperature water, and the bathrooms have everything you will ever need. I was very excited to try this. I have only taken spin in my gym and never in a place that specialized in only that. I was greeted as soon as I came in. It was for a free test ride. My name was on a locker and they gave me shoes and a water bottle. I loved the class. The instructor (Gabrielle B, 7:15am Thursday) was very motivating and my heart rate was never as high in any other class I have taken. I also liked that there was no pressure to buy classes.
