I took a complimentary class at this location and it was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and the class was high impact. The facility is so clean and well kept too. My only complaint is the cycling shoes. They are super uncomfortable LOL! Also maybe they could make the studio brighter at the beginning so you can see where your stuff is ect and also do more stretching before the cycle class - when the instructor starts there are no warm ups (at least my instructor didn't). I did love the high energy and super sweat and the instructor really kept us pumped. Def recommend trying this out and if you need to burn a lot of cals in a short time, this is the way!!! read more

Have been doing classes here for over a year now and would highly recommend checking CycleBar JC out. Classes: Classes follow a similar format each time, with different songs, choreography, speed on the bike, etc. Shoes for the class are included. Classes are good for all levels, since you control the gear on the bike and your speed. Rides are 45 minutes, with a song dedicated to arm exercises. The music is always great, and they often have fun themed rides, with different music theme, decorations, and sometimes events after class. Staff: The first time you go, you will be greeted by staff who will show you around the studio and set you up with a personalized locker. The stars of the show are the instructors here - Almost anytime I had rode with a new instructor, they introduced themselves to me and engaged in conversation before/after class. All instructors have a different style, but highly recommend checking out Jeannette and Faith. Facilities: The facilities have always been clean when I've been there - There is a 2 stall restroom, showers, hair ties, mints, hair dryers, deodorant and dry shampoo, lockers that are free to use, water fountain to fill up your water bottle, etc. read more

The theme for the class was usher and friends and I had no doubt I had to make this classes I was greeted warmly and given the run down. The place is huge compared to the 67th street one and staff was very welcoming just lie the other locations. I loved the class it was the perfect morning wake up with Bri! My favorite fitness adventure! If you haven't tried cyclebar you should try it here. I recommend taking one of Steph Ray's or Sheri's class I joined cyclebar during the pandemic in 2020 and it had been the single best gift I could have given myself! They offer classes in studio, outdoors in the summer, and in the Harborside atrium during the early winter months. So you have an abundance of options to choose from. What I like most is the team made of operations managers and cyclebar instructors. After being locked away for months or felt great to have a community of people who were friendly, personal, and welcoming. I'm pretty shy and I've come out of my shell a lot thanks to these wonderful people . The thing that keeps me coming back is the music. I absolutely love CycleBar JC ! The minute I walk through the door I am greeted by name by all staff members. The GM is super nice and very personable. The instructors have literally become like a little family every time I am in. The culture here is very different than most studios. It is extremely diverse with their music selections ranging from themed pop nights , edm, r&b, to Latin trap, Hip Hop and Caribbean ! You can truly see the instructors personalities within their playlist and even though you are riding in a class with multiple riders they truly make sure to make a connection with every single person. The best part of indoor cycling is that it doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a pro, you truly never feel like you're left behind and the music is always a vibe. I've been to a few spin studio's, but I truly loved the energy brought out by CycleBar. As soon as you walk in you were greeted, given some information on class options, asked to sign a waiver (Before your first ride, you need to sign a waiver. If you are under 18, you need one signed by a parent.) and given a pair of spin shoes and sent off to the back where the establishment has lockers set up, an entrance to the class, and washroom. I attended the Yelp Event who's instructor was Ian - he was so energetic I left the class feeling pumped. The class was a very good workout and a nice change from my typical gym routine. read more

Big fan of cycle bar! I have been here many, many times and I like the vibe and the teachers here very much! The check in process is easy, they provide everything from shoes to lockers to bananas to water, and the people who work there and the instructors are super encouraging and friendly. I went with a friend for the first time, and they had her name on one of the lockers welcoming her to the ride! I mean, those little extra touches really go a long way. I find the bikes easy to set up. I like that you can put yourself on a scoreboard, and I like that you get your stats when you leave so you have a benchmark for next time. Rocked my ride! This was my first cycle class ever and I thank Yelp and Sara M for putting together such a challenging elite event. My experience at cycle bar was awesome from beginning to end. All was simple from registering online, picking your seat, signing in at desk and given your correct size cycle shoes. We arrived early and the staff was very attentive and explained everything clearly. We were directed to the locker room that provided locks, showers and towels. We were presented the snack table with bananas, apples, coffee urn and complimentary water bottles to fill with the flowater purification fountain. They also provided hair bands, hair pins and chapstick. The minute you walk into the room you get hyped with the pumping music and club like lighting. Jasmine is a cycle Queen. She was readily available assisting people with locking their shoes and seating adjustments. She motivated me, pushed me, challenged me and lifted me up. It was definitely harder than i imagined for my first cycle class. I will do better next time knowing what to expect. Gloves will be beneficial since i was extremely sweaty and felt my grip slipping. Saturday is usually my lazy day but there was no room for laziness at Cycle Bar! The space itself is beautifully appointed bright open and airy with colorful wording on the walls and eye catching marketing materials. The check in process is state of the art and seamless. You create an account online before class and check in on the iPads upfront when you arrive, the staff will already know your bike and shoe size. The lockers are right outside of class so once you secure your things you are literally steps away from your bike (no long walk with your slippery riding shoes) BUT, before I get into the nuts and bolts of this review I'd like to start this by saying I was late for class and the staff was uber accommodating and slipped my husband and I in our bikes without skipping a beat or disrupting the flow. I was really having anxiety about it because I hate being late and I know how people can be when you mess up the flow of an organized event. But no one gave us any bad energy AT ALL and that made all the difference; my anxiety dissipated as soon as I was clicked into my bike and heard the instructor Ian's voice. Cycle Bar provides towels and bottled water for your ride which is definitely a plus. The energy in the room was great. The instructor Ian kept the pace challenging but also manageable for first timers like my hubby. The music was really good and easy to ride to. I definitely loved the flow of the class and the encouragement Ian gave, it helped me push through those last few hills. First time at any Cyclebar and it was a great experience. Took Jasmine's 730pm class and it was a great pace considering it was my first official cycling class. Everyone was a great help from setting up my bike, and a post ride stretch. Definitely looking forward to coming back and pushing myself a little harder next time. Small cons: the water was super warm and the mic went out half way through the class. Also wish I was shown how to put my feet into the pedals instead of it just done for me. I was little lost considering it was my first time and lost a foot in the last 10 minutes so couldn't end off or stretch properly. But either way, such a great experience! I have been a proud monthly member at CycleBar November 2018, and cannot recommend enough if you're local and looking for a refreshing and challenging workout! The space is beautiful and impeccably clean. You are always greeted at the door by their incredibly friendly staff. Shoes are available to use free of charge, which is a huge perk, along with a free towel at each bike. There are also numerous free amenities available including bobby pins, hair ties, fruit, mints, and ear plugs (honestly a must - the music is insanely loud and I now bring my own earplugs every time!) After over a year at CycleBar, I have definitely found my favorite instructors, though I will happily take a class with any instructor if it fits my schedule better. These would be my recommendations for anyone getting started at CycleBar: - Jasmine is an incredible instructor, and her 10:45am Saturday class is definitely the best each week. I leave each class with her exhausted, but refreshed. Her music choices are consistently on point with a variety of genres, her class flows perfectly and goes by extremely quickly (in a good way!) - Luis is ALSO incredible, and pushes you hard - I have gotten my best numbers EVER in his class. He is great for folks looking to step up their game. His Monday 6:15pm class is very challenging and a hot ticket - so book early. - I love Ian's 11am Sunday class - he is a PERFECT instructor for beginners or anyone looking to have a more "set your own pace" class experience. He is so positive and sweet - a great instructor! The staff and instructors also come up with fun theme rides and challenges, and work hard to give members an option to build community. Worst experience ever. I got a membership and tried to cancel after a few months... typical gym runaround... i tried online (option disabled)... called (no answer).... emailed (no response)... asked in person (was told they could not help me). After trying for weeks and no luck I get more charges of course! So I finally sent an email telling them I will be calling my credit card company to report them since they don't respond to anything. Then they call me to tell me that not only do I owe another 6 weeks plus another $50 for reporting them to my credit card company! So it is fine for you to never answer my calls or emails, but it is not ok for me to call my credit card company? I can't even understand. Unbelievably painful. Is it pricey? Yes. But is it worth your $$? Yes. The classes are motivating, the space and studio is clean and the themed rides, esp the ones with booze make this spin studio worthy. There's no pressure to confirm, and even though they have ratings boards, you can choose to take yourself off and just ride. Staff are all friendly and available to help with bike setup, etc. The only downside is street parking but usually you'll find a spot within a block's radius. read more

Just joined class pass and my 1st stop was cyclebar jersey city! Class was only 7 pts and it sure was worth it. Studio is very clean, huge cycling room, and amenities were great. I can't recommend CycleBar Jersey City enough. I joined in late-summer 2020, when all the gyms were closed due to Covid. They were one of the few places that offered outdoor workouts, which always caught my eye, while on my daily walks in downtown. We are officially back in the studio now, which is great for anyone looking for a full-body workout in a high-tech theater structured room. You have the option to be on the leaderboard and actively track your stats, or simply ride for yourself and achieve those personal fitness goals. What CBJC perhaps does best, outside of the excellent classes led by a diverse team of CycleBar stars, is providing a solid community atmosphere. Between the staff's customer service, friendliness of fellow riders, and creative corporate led challenges - like the current bingo game - I'm glad I became an Unlimited VIP Member. I love CycleBar. The studio is what the client deserves for their money. They provide fruit, mints, giant cool water dispenser, a CycleBar water bottle, and such a warm welcome. They really know how to make you feel 100% comfortable. The staff is AMAZING and so friendly and helpful. There are lockers, showers, nice bathrooms, deodorant etc. when you arrive there are iPads to check in and remind you of which bike you picked. Then the room is awesome. They let you in about 15 min before and each bike has a towel on it. The instructors and staff are quick to help you learn how to adjust the bike and get you set up in time for class. The studio is so much fun. It feels like you're in a club that everyone is working out in. The music is so upbeat and really gets you into the ride. What a wonderful workout. FINALLY, a great spin class in Jersey City! I did the 45 minute class with Ian and it was a fun sweaty workout. I do a lot of spin classes in Manhattan and I would say this class is somewhat similar to FlyWheel. They give you spin shoes, towel, fruit, hair ties, bobby pins.. the usual. The bikes feel great (also, my butt didn't hurt after the class) and the leader board was a cool feature. Super clean studio and you don't need to bring your own lock to use the lockers. I was an anti-group exercise person for the majority of my adult life but CBJC has changed my mind. Becky & Jason work their a**es off to ensure each and every rider feels like a family member. The amenities are spacious, clean and never crowded. The men's locker room is fully equipped with large showers, towels and hygiene products. Love it! Went for the first time a couple of weeks ago, the instructor was great and the studio is exceptionally nice. I'm a SoulCycle alumnus who needed a place to ride in JC. I have to say I prefer this. There is really no need to be right on top of the person next to you, a little room between bikes is a good thing. And they actually use air conditioning! Woo hoo! I've taken spin classes at Peloton, FlyWheel and CycleBar locations in the past. CycleBar in JC is far and away my favorite studio! It's clean, spacious, and convenient to public transportation. Unlike other studios I've gone to, every person at this location is friendly and helpful. People actually stay afterwards for the Happy Hour rides to chat and have a beer, and instructors are helpful and encouraging to everyone who attends, not just their "regulars".
