Dr Tran is a competent and skilled orthodontist who puts you right at ease and makes you sure you're in good hands, and a patient communicator. Dr Yang is a great dentist with clear recommendations regarding dental hygiene and has a sweet way dealing with kids that puts them at ease. The facility is well-equipped and it and team are all great and make it as fun and easy on the kids as possible. They've have also been remarkably flexible and adaptable with our needs, especially scheduling. I checked with my son before writing this, he also recommends them :). read more

I brought my daughter in for braces and it was not a great experience. They charge you for almost anything, and they always charge you 300$ and up for the smallest things. . i swear to god literally anything. they remove my daughter back teeth because they said it would be the best option, i spent (1,300) but they ruined her whole facial structure. We took my daughter here to fill 2 teeth. The dentist spent 2 hours and told us my daughter was too fussy and need to have anesthesia to put her whole body go to sleep. Prior the visit I asked over the phone if they accepted my insurance, which they said that do. At the time of visit it appeared that they don't accept any insurance and we need to get a reimbursement. They wanted to change me 350$ for the extraction of baby tooth when only 105 is allowed by my insurance. After reading the comments with same billing issues , I'd say these guys are cheaters. Best experience ever for my two year old, which was her first dentist appointment and for my four year old as his second dentist appointment. Doctor and staff were amazing explaining everything to them and making sure they were comfortable before any treatments started. Office was very clean and organized for my children. Doctor explained everything very well for me and my husband to understand. Will definitely be recommending to colleagues and friends, as well as family members. Today was my first day in the office, and I really loved it there! It was so bright and welcoming right when I stepped in and I really was in awe by their adorable ocean theme. However, after waiting for 4 weeks, I still haven't received the check. Then I called the office again. They said they just decided to not refund me and deactivate my kids from their customer list. No notification at all. This is terrible behavior. I really doubt their integrity and honesty. I asked to speak to Dr. Yang. They said Dr. Yang is out until September. This place now charge you a lot of money!!! They recently changed their service and become out of networks, and even a simple check will charge you a few hundreds. They don't even let you know about it! Such liers!!! Never go to them, they are cheating! They charged me and tell me my delta dental will return me the check, and yea I got the check, but I was charged by $500 or more and only got $50 back!!! I went there again to talk and they said oh your check is clear but did not let me know they charged me a lot!! If I did not look carefully, I perhaps will keep paying more! (because it's not possible to change my Son's birthday, name and my regular email) but Ani K had no solution for this. It was a waste of time. They don't know how to troubleshoot such situations. My frightened 6yr old daughter has had to come several times to the dentist in the past to do some dental work...however, everyone in the office is incredibly warm and understanding. My daughter has endured some tough visits with other dentists, so she always hated going to the dentists. At the end of one of her recent appointments, she told me she that wanted to be a dentist just like Dr. Yang. This speaks volumes to the level of care and attention the children receive in this office. They took a terrified little girl, stretched her little mouth to its limits, and yet she walked away realizing they were there to help her and now has a career objective in mind...dentistry, (that and becoming a teacher.) MY DAUGHTER LOVES DR. YANG because she is sweet and gentle. She actually looks forward to her next dental appointments! Her dental assistants make them feel so comfortable and happy. I would not recommend the place. As mentioned in the previous reviews, their billing process is crazy. You need to pay the full amount (like$1000) out of your own pocket and get reimbursed later. The staff and the doctor both promised me that I would get my check within 2 weeks. Then you know what? It took 2+ months, which could be much slower if I hadn't made many calls+ emails to them. As I read other reviews, I realize that indeed, no insurance company wants to be in good relationship with this place. Their clinic could either be out-of -the- network depending upon your insurance or they would do procedures which are definitely not covered. Looking back, everything makes so much sense to me now that why they would ask patients to pay the full amount in advance because they are afraid that once patients find out the ridiculous bill that they shouldn't pay, they might simply refuse to pay it. My insurance is extremely good and my out-of-pocket is always zero for all services received from other places EXCEPT from MV. They charged me over 500 out of pocket bucks for what??? This is California, where there are many options available! To save your sanity, precious time and hard-earned money, I would recommend you to choose somewhere else with good service. I am so satisfied with the current clinic I chose and seeing a dentist is as easy as as a breeze. Their insurance policy was decently straightforward and with anything I didn't understand, Dr. Nguyen was very patient and was able to clarify. I wanted to try something a little different and bring the girls in to see if this was something they liked. I have to say it really went well, I was greeted first thing upon entering. 4 stars for the cleaning. My 3yo son had a good experience and was comfortable throughout. The dentist and assistant were friendly and reassuring. They were also pretty efficient and didn't make us wait long which we appreciated One star for the cost. We were charged $500 for a 15-minute cleaning and x-ray of which our insurance (Delta) covered less than $200. I saw the bill and was told "not to worry about it -- insurance will cover it." Not so. Thankfully I can afford to learn my lesson this time. But I won't return because $300 out of pocket after insurance is too much for a regular cleaning. read more

FYI this place will not bill your insurance first for many procedures. I was told today I would have to pay $1380 upfront prior to my daughter having X-rays and her cavity filled. After an awful Interaction with the office staff both on the phone and in person I am searching for a new dentist. This may be a good dentist for a nuerotypical child but for a kid with autism this place is a nightmare. Not only is the amount $1380 it is also $1680 for general anesthetic I understand that my daughter needs the general anesthesia but for the office not even willing to work out a payment plan is absolutely ridiculous I hope that other moms will be treated better in the future read more

Did not like that despite having delta dental, had to pay upfront. Inside the office looks all right but not too many toys or play machines like in previous place i used to take my toddler before we moved. Receptionists r marginally friendly only. Overall, will be looking for another place or driving back to previous dentist in Fremont. Doc was nice and toddler cooperated well. Update: even though paid 250$ upfront, insurance returned only 125$. Very upset have to deal with insurance now. Don't understand where 5 star reviews came from, must be a hoax. Never had to go through above in my previous place in 20 yrs!! . This cancels doc being nice, will NEVER GO BACK there. What a rip off and staff was unfriendly anyway.
