Don't book your appointment here save yourself please. Kim, the manager speaks to you…read morecondescendingly whether you approach with any issue or questions cordially or not. I had a very pleasant experience with Zuly, the secretary and she was polite and helpful. My issue was previously that i was told by staffing that my insurance would cover both an eye exam and contacts, I would also be offered a promotional deal of 40% off glasses if i chose to buy a pair. I was then only informed at the checkout desk that my insurance apparently could cover nothing but a $30 copay, no glasses no contacts. I could afford all of this, but I felt I'd been lied to or even cheated as anyone else would, so i contested this price by citing what I was previously told, then to be met with rude off comments by the desk worker whose name I forget (old hag). At that point I'd been too angry to speak to the lady so I sat with my head down trying to recollect myself. The lady then summoned a manager or someone else in order to help her check me out, then bumping the price from $30 to an $80 with again- zero benefits. So I paid the copay then promptly went to the front desk and asked to speak to the staff that initially told me what my insurance covered. I was diverted to the manager, who I then sat down with, and was on multiple occasions backhandedly berated for not returning a call that previously disconnected between us (I was at work). Stay away from the horizontally tall carrot haired girl named kim!

In the beginning of October, I visited MyEyeDr. in Winterhaven, Florida, to schedule an appointment…read morefor my husband. I presented the office with his insurance card and all the necessary information. Today was his scheduled appointment date, November 7th, so he left work early to be seen. Upon arrival, he was presented with the same paperwork I had filled out earlier. He was also asked to show his insurance card, which I had given them during the appointment setup process. This was unusual, so I brought it to their attention that I had already completed all the necessary tasks. They explained that it was standard protocol to complete these tasks on the day and time of the appointment. After reviewing the paperwork again, they called him to the desk and informed him that he needed to contact his insurance company to verify his eye coverage. In reality, these tasks should have been completed before his appointment. I informed them that they should have completed these assignments before his appointment and that he should have received a phone call if they were unable to do so. They responded that this was their standard procedure and that these tasks should be completed on the day and time of all appointments. We eventually called his insurance company to check if the paperwork had been accepted, and it had been. However, it had to be in paper form, not electronic. Unfortunately, this meant that he was unable to be seen. This would have been acceptable if they had not set up his appointment, received his insurance card during the month prior, and not called him in advance to inform him of this information in October. Smh save yourself time, and frustration and go elsewhere.
