Went here for the first time last week. Such nice people and so helpful. The doctor seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. The lady, can't remember her name, who helped me pick out glasses was so nice and didn't rush me at all, very helpful since I was alone and needed opinions. Even the other lady was helping me pick I'm waiting to see how my prescription turns out, if I can actually see before I make my final decision but so far I'm very happy! Ok, I got my glasses, both pair, and I love them both! The prescription is very clear and they came in a week earlier than they said they would! I definitely recommend Riverview Eye Care! read more

I've been going here since 2017. Dr Nehaul & Dr Stryker are the best optometrists I've had. They're both really nice, and they care about their patients. They're very good at explaining everything. All of the office support staff are really nice & knowledgeable. This year they had a new machine that takes a more comprehensive picture of your eye which can replace the traditional eye drop dilation (I hate those!) to check for glaucoma/macular degeneration/etc. It costs $39 more, but it is totally worth it!! Dr. Nehaul pulled up the pictures of my eyes & explained what they look at. Earlier today, I was there for my annual eye exam. They are doing an AWESOME job with Covid precautions! When I arrived, there was a sign on the door to call them when you arrive for an appt or for pick ups. They took my temperature. I was brought into the room right away. There's a sign in front of the door that says "This room has been sanitized", and they flip over the sign when a patient goes inside. They also do another alcohol swab wipe down right before you put your face on the equipment. While I was waiting to check out, I hear one of the workers tell a costumer who was looking at eyeglasses to leave the glasses on the table after he puts them on because they disinfect all of the eye glasses before they go back on the shelf. I'm so impressed with the extra precautions this office is taking to prevent the spread of Covid. I highly recommend Dr Nehaul & Dr Stryker. read more

As soon as I walk in the front desk lady named Jennifer greeted me and was very warm and welcoming. Making my appointment was easy over the phone, because they also take my insurance. After doing my paperwork, they were ready to take me right away! I talked to both Dr. Stryker and Dr. Nehaul, they are both very professional and very knowledgable with their work. Dr. Stryker was the one who did my exam, and she was very patient and seemed to care about my wants and needs. The office is very clean and organized with a wide array of lenses to choose from. In the waiting room they had a coffee maker and cold waters in the fridge. I love this new office and have decided to make them my primary eye doctors! read more

Tried to pick up my my contacts for 4 months. Due to COVID door is locked. i was Told I can just stop by and pick them up. each time I stop. i call and get the answering machine. Finally today I called 3 or 4 times while sitting in the parking lot. Mrs attitude answers. Puts me on hold. Due to her tone I ask 4 a refund i am sure there are other eye doctors in this area. They tell me they can't refund the insurance company. I left didn't bother with picking up the contacts. My loss for sure. I hope this is not my only insurance company's option for this area. When I moved to the Tampa area, I was really nervous about replacing all the awesome doctors I had in DC. I waited a good while to find a new eye doctor, and finally decided on this one, as it wasn't too far from my house and has people-who-work-friendly hours. The unsuspecting location not technically in Riverview may throw you off a little, but don't let it. The staff is professional and friendly, the doctors are qualified and compassionate, and the space is clean and welcoming. Riverview eye care recently opened, and I am glad they did. If I could, I would give this place ten stars. I usually don't like to visit doctors but getting my eyes checked couldn't have been easier. It was easy to make an appointment, they took my insurance, both of the optometrists were friendly, there was very little wait, and they had a wide array of eye glasses to choose from. I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 2nd grade and let me tell you, Riverview Eye Care provided the best experience thus far! It has been difficult to find an optometric physician that I could completely trust and believe that they have my best interest at heart until now. Everyone was personable and willing to help. Dr. Stryker and Dr. Nehaul were very knowledgable and was able to answer all my questions about the health of my eyes. They have a great selection of frames which are also very reasonable. I'm not sure of the lady's name that helped me with selecting the right frames for me but she was amazing! I met with Dr. Stryker about what contacts would be best for me since I have been having trouble finding ones that do not dry out my eyes. She is committed to helping me find the best ones that work for my eyes. They really do care here. They are professional, thorough, and friendly.
