Update after almost 4 years. I am quite surprised to see bad reviews. We lived here for almost 4 years now and I can summarize our experience: 1) Do not hate property managers for ever increasing cost of rent in Bay area. It has a lot to do with real estate market and corporate greed, management of property has no say in that. This property has many units I can only imagine how often they hear complaints from disgruntled tenants over nitpicking, remember they run multi unit property with many apartments. 2) We were always treated with respect and repairs in our apartment were always handled quickly and professionally. Total three of three years here. Since my last post they upgraded the laundry room, add new gating around the the pool which looks amazing! There is also a new property manager and she has created a new relaxed environment for the complex. My three years there have been overall really nice, great area and safe environment. read more

One of the best places to live in Gilroy. My husband and I have been living here for almost a year and a half. During all this time, there were no problems. The office staff is very responsive and friendly. The apartment itself is bright and spacious. If you are looking for a quiet and safe place to live, then this is definitely Cypress Point! Kelly, A simple "sorry for your experience" is sometimes just enough in customer service. I do believe many would agree with me that 6 business days is ample amount of time to get a response. That is a little over a week. I'm not asking for a detail explanation of every work order, that's ridiculous. I was asking for a specific one due to the amount Of people needing to get into the apartment. With covid and a baby at home, I am very cautious. I love the landscaping at Cypress Pointe! It's whimsical as you walk around the community, especially during the evening--it's a beautiful experience. I'm enjoying my residence here, the pool is great to get a tan in the summer. Also awesome to do a quick cold plunge to get up in the morning. It's cheap but expensive. Everything is cheap and breaks/dirties easily, the carpets and walls do not come clean so you end up paying for it on move out. The hinges, the blinds, the appliances, all very cheap and dent, dirty or break easily. Maintenance is quick to respond to orders. Could never get the sink to keep from leaking or the smell from the drains and water to go away. Smelled like it came right from someones toilet. Management is snotty unless you can get George. There's constant construction going on and equipment left everywhere. My son stepped on a nail that went through his shoe into his foot while in the play ground, rather than concern from management or an offer to clean up the safety hazards, they blamed my son for being out after dark (it was 4pm). I'm so glad to not be living here anymore. My stomach feels better not drinking that water and not having the stress looming over of what we're going to get a notice about next. read more

To start off this review I just want to say that I really enjoyed living here... My husband & I moved her from San Jose with our son while I was pregnant with our second son. I'm sad to say I'll be leaving soon just knowing I brought my baby home here. BUT there where some hiccups thru out the year. 1.) I guess you can have dogs here even tho the lease says otherwise... people walking their dogs & letting them poop on the grass is very common here. 2.) Our apartment was/is a bit outdated. 3.) I HATE THE WASHERS HERE they ruined a lot of our clothes & sheets. 4.) Now knowing that we don't have washer/dryer in units, when going to the pool air drying is common sense but we got in trouble for air drying a towel while half of the people here leave towels hanging from their balconies all the time. One time someone had a rug out for days. 5.) Roaches creep out from the drains 6.) PARKING ! GOOD PARKING 7.) A lot of people move out here & when they do maintenance will start to work in them & they are super loud & annoying ESPECIALLY when you have a baby. Maintenance will definitely come right away if you need something fixed but like I had said everything is outdated so as soon as they fix it, it needs fixing again. I've had my main door fixed 3 time & my sons room door fixed because the locks would get jammed. read more

Cypress Pointe Apartments is a nice, friendly, welcoming community. Great location in Gilroy. Management is very quick to respond to and resolve any maintenance issues. After reviewing all the 1 star reviews ! I have experienced them all ! The tenants are correct ! Flies,rats,harassment, terrible spider problem, terrible pool, water shut off , clogged kitchen sinks...after unclogging it they diddnt clean it up , finally cleans it up after 3 days... still diddnt clean the splatter on my door, shit on the walk ways, mail box vandalism , car broken into , grass has patches everywhere.... after throwing some soil to make the grass grow, flies start coming into your home! My husband and I lived at Cypress Pointe for a little over 2 years and overall we had a positive experience. I really enjoyed living here but had to relocate because of work. What I liked best about living here was that it was quiet and stores such as Safeway were close by. We rented the one bedroom which was more than enough space for us. In addition, management was great, they would be quick to resolve any maintenance problems we had. They are also friendly and are always around. We recently rented in another city but with the same company so I'm hoping that management over here is like there. read more

I must say renting here has improved dramatically with the new management. The whole complex has gotten a face-lift. Anytime we have an issue with maintenance it has been addressed in a very timely manner.parking can get a little hectic @ times but not a big deal majority of the time. The onsite gym is small but very clean and enough machines to get a good workout & save money on a gym membership. I really like the knew cybex treadmill ..all in all these apartments are very clean and nice to live in for the price..definitely recommend if your looking for an apartment to check these out first. read more

I had stayed here previously and had a good experience . recently moved back and very gratful they accepted us back. Very clean and very good at keeping the place up to date and very nice and personal management. The units are very nice and spacious. The bathrooms are very nice along with the kitchen styles. And the master bedrooms are brautiful. Very affordable compared to the other apartments with the same price and not so desirable location. Grounds are clean and well-kept, the complex itself is very safe, all problems (which have been very limited) have been handled expediently, and the landlords are easy to work with. I've had a great experience so far, and I would recommend this complex to others! read more

I'm really disappointed to see my review for this apartment complex has been deleted. I was the first to review back in 2010 and my review was very detailed. I was not happy living at Cypress Pointe Apartments. I understand that they have since hired on new management, and I believe one of the new managers even responded to my review here, after they were hired on and started cleaning up. But that's why I'm even more upset, my review was date stamped closer to the time I lived there and was accurate. Now, I have no idea how the apartment complex is run. However, I lived there for about 7 months (2009-2010) and it was the worse 7 months ever. The manager at the time was Dave and he was so rude and hot headed, I complained about him and nothing was done. They charged me a ridiculous amount of money for "damages" after we moved out.. It was a horrible experience. It was the biggest mistake of my life, I was scared to rent an apartment after that. The End! read more

I have not been a renter for over 30 years, I looked around quite a bit in town, this was the cleanest best kept place I could find. Maintenance requests are taken care of immediately. I have been a tenant here for 9 months now. This place is disgusting. Constant mice problems and other infestation. Last week my 4 year old daughter was playing on the playground and found a BOX CUTTER in the grass! One of the maintenance guys it in the grass right next to the playground where children play. We just recently moved in these apartments and had I written a review right away they would have gotten 4 stars. Cutting that down to 3 after today. We told management a couple weeks ago that our door handle was messing up on our front door so they sent the guy to "fix" it and now today we lock it and get home and it won't open! We go and tell management we can't get in our apartment and their answer is... We can't come for a couple hours...mind u it's 5pm and I'm tired and now highly irritated! The girl in the office tells my fiancé that WE can call a locksmith if we want REALLY??? I'm gona pay a locksmith to come fix YOUR apartment door where I'm payin almost $2000 mo already for rent?! I don't think so... Just ridiculous! Oh and they need to quit wasting water everyday to water the grass...we're in a drought.... Walking thru puddles ea night is crazy. One more thing... When we asked for a few other things to be fixed maintenance comes a week later... And when we didn't run to the door to answer they just tried to walk in. Ummm ya not cool... Next time u should give people a call and schedule a time to give the courtesy of ADVANCE NOTICE before u try and walk into people's apartments. I do however like the people in this apartment... Nice n friendly... along with the amenities like the washers that notify u when your wash is done. Plus it's super quiet here... BUT To be locked out of my own place with the "oh well" attitude for the price of this place is beyond ridiculous and needs to be addressed with your "leasing employees" when you're charging as much as u do. read more

After this experience with Cypress Point, I get scared to rent. That's so painful what they have done to us. After living for 1 year there, they increase the rent $250 and we decided to move even though we kept that appartement so clean, they found a way to charge us around $ 1000.00 . Lived at Cypress for 2 years. Absolutely loved it! People are nice (neighbors) and managers are extremely nice. Application process was fault easy and quick at time if move in. Amenities are open to all. Laundry is 24 hours which was always a plus for me as I did laundry late. 2 laundry rooms which was amazing so everyone was not packed into one. Never had an issue with any neighbors or anything. Again, loved living here! read more

I just moved in so my review is based on searching for a well kept, safe enough for a single mom of a 6 year old daughter and nice enough to call home. Cypress Pointe is all of the above and affordable! The grounds are clean and maintained daily. My apartment is in a quiet area with a picnic like atmosphere right outside my door, so it's like having a park close by. Every person I meet who lives here is happy and content. I have not heard one complaint. The management is friendly and easy to deal with. When I have a concern or need maintenance done, it is taken care of right away. The apartments all have brand new appliances and are spacious and clean. The laundry facilities have just been updated as well. If you're looking for a place to live, look no further..... read more

We love living here. Angelique, Jared and Ricardo are awesome. they hgve always taken care of any issues quickly. The grounds are well maintained. They have a wonderful playground for the kids. very nice gym & laundry facility. I have read people comment on the rules here at Cypress. The rules are explained before you sign a lease. Then again, given to you in writing when you sign a lease. I have no problem with the rules. And the fact that management makes sure that everyone follows the rules, not just curtain people is wonderful. It's quiet at night, safe to be out in the complex after dark. We have security on sight at night We have recommended the apartments to several people. If you are a party person with lots of drama, Cypress Pointe is not for you. read more

We stay here from May 2015 to June 2016 and we're really happy with the property management at Cypress Pointe Apartments. A work order can be requested by phone or online, and it usually complete in same or next day. Parking has never been an issue and plenty of space to park. The community pool is always in great condition and we love the hot spa pool so much. The children play ground is a great place for kids. Highly recommended. read more

Had to take them to small claims to get my deposit back. I had carpet professionally cleaned and scrubbed every square in of the place. Judge gave me every dime of my cleaning deposit and fined them for acting in bad faith. I would stay clear if I were you! read more
