So much to do here I'll just ramble off a list of what you can find here: walking and biking the miles of paths, tennis courts, grassy areas for solitude, a reflection park with landscaping and stone benches arranged in an oval, barbecue and picnic areas with built in stand up grills, picnic benches and a few covered large areas for entertaining large groups with nearby running water from a hand pump (check park website for availability but I believe it's first come first served for the covered picnic areas), TONS of parking all around the park for easy access, babbling brooks, cute bridges, a really nice man made pond with an island and best yet, BATHROOMS all over!

Just while searching for beaches in a 30 minute driving radius, we ran into this gem of a park that's so well maintained. They have ample free parking and the walk to the bay is so quick. The bay might not be the best to walk on as sand is relatively less with more gravels and getting down to it from the stairs is little difficult even for well grown adults. This could definitely be wheelchair accessible in a certain way. They also have few picnic enclosures and a memorial to one of their town's fallen soldiers. The walking pavement is neatly laid out for a calm, peaceful and relaxing walk. We went on overcast conditions and had to return to the car just before the rain caught up. Will definitely return here for summers to watch the sunset in this beautiful bay/park.

They offer grounds for baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball. Seems that there are a lot of rec leagues playing here. Plenty of paved areas for walking/jogging. They have a fitness circuit too. Many different parking lots. It's sort of a sprawling park. The entrance is near the intersection of Florida Grove and 35.

It is near a highway so maybe that is why people avoid it, but they have tennis, basket ball and roller rink courts. There is a nice grove of trees and a nice gazebo and fountain too. I use the tennis courts almost every weekend and they are hardly used and in decent shape. Only complaint is it could use a broom to clean leaves to be left there. There are also lights on the court at night for free and ample parking and clean bathroom facilities. Once you are done with a game you can head to wawa across the street!

It's right near the Dunkin so you can just grab a cup and sit at the picnic table or gazebo. Over the summer I had left a bunch of books in the awnings of it. Thought it would be like a makeshift little library, but they spruced up the park in late summer and got rid of them. Guess that was frowned upon :( I'll try again but I highly recommend leaving books in these types of spaces. It has a nice little walking path that has various bench along it. This time of year is a really great way to see the leaves changing without having to go far. There are garbages signs please throw out what you have, I see sprinklings if trash on the path. The large boulder from what I know was dug up from Green Street when they were doing the sewerlines I think. I read that is was supposedly from the Paleozoic Era. Fun fact: this is one of the top PokemonGo hotspot. When it was super popular you saw so many people just standing around and meeting up. Now not so much but it's still pretty cool.

The park has two sides, and it was pretty busy when I went in the evening but still spacious. There were lots of families and tons of kids enjoying the playground and people walking the loop. The loop for walking and running is well-maintained and, I believe, about 1 mile long. The park also has seating areas, a gazebo, restrooms, and ample parking. I noticed people playing cricket, baseball, and football, different fields available and there's even a small creek nearby.

I would get a raft and float with it tied to the beach to enjoy the outside. Plenty of parking both street and lot. The benches are not the most comfortable, metal and thin. But they have holes for umbrellas if you want to do a lunch, or enjoy book club outdoors. The skyline isn't much but sunsets can make even the most industrial of places appealing. there are bathrooms but I've heard they're never open and I saw a porta potty the last time I was there. I think there's an official 'park' someone who either checks safety or fishing permits, I'm not sure. Down the block you have Moby Dicks, a small park with outdoor fitness, bikes to rent, and a new concert area for live music. Nice breeze and good place to just relax.

Fantastic Sunday afternoon concerts that are free...and nobody knows about...in a gorgeous setting!…read moreOn Sunday July 28 I went to "Concerts By The Bay" at Bayview Park to see the wonderful Garden State Symphonic Band play for free...but only abt 100 people showed up for this delightful concert by a professional orchestra & a guest Lincoln Center opera singer! The sea breeze cooled off the audience as we enjoyed a free 90 minute concert with a sweeping view of Raritan Bay in a lovely park. (Why don't more people know abt this hidden GEM?) Their LAST SHOW of the summer is next Sunday, August 4, 2024 so head over & treat yourself!

This is a great park for walking or even resting on the grass with a blanket. There are gazebos and…read morebenches along the walk path and near the playground. The path isn't the best for skating, but I have used it many times paying attention to any breaks or rocks along the path. The park faces the Arthur Kill tidal straight which is a calm channel of water and makes for a decent view while visiting the park. The land is always clean, but I would avoid visiting right after a rain pour since the park sits on a wetland. Driving here for the first time can be tricky since it is tucked away a bit. To get there, it looks like you are trespassing on to the property of PSEG (but you're not), passing open gates. Instead of driving straight towards the PSEG facility, you will make a right into the park where you see the sign for Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park. Enjoy!

Location wise it's not the best , but inc you go in , it's Ana amazing place to walk . Parking is a bit small but does fit 20 cars ! The entrance is through a road which is deserted ! I just loved the trial walk . The wooden path is just amazing ! The overall walk is about 1.5 kms per loop .. so 2-3 loops will give you a 5K .. you can also divert off the wooden walkways and walk on the gravel to the back of the Rahway River /lake . Good bird sightings . Saw good ones and could take pics . I also saw woodpeckers but could t take pics ! Loved it overall . Very good place .

I'm intrigued. Went today... cool spring afternoon. Hidden near refinery and landfill. Where do I…read morebegin? Quiet. Erie or peaceful? I think both. Creepy? A little Hidden? Very Unsettling? Kept looking back and around for other people. Saw a small family, a couple, a man and baby son, a lone guy, a guy with a bike. Still kept looking around. Path: mostly boardwalk and pebbled paths. Tall grass and trees doesn't let you see across path. Path has shade from trees. River/creek/marsh: it was dry, low tide. Didn't see any wildlife there. Smells salty. Tall deer fence: I guess to keep the deer off path? Pretty sure deer can go around it. Signs posted along path with information. No dogs allowed. Views: not much. Lots of tall grass and trees. And the landfill mountain. Very insulated. I wouldn't go alone. You can't see in or out. Poison ivy EVERYWHERE!!!!! Don't touch anything! I did like that there are lots of birds and you can hear them all. It's very quiet and has a good nature feel. I will go back to explore more. I think there needs to be more patrol or surveillance cameras.
