The big problem is how high the rates are. I asked for an estimate of what a teeth cleaning for my dog would be. Just for the cleaning I was told it could range from $900.00 to $1800.00. If a tooth or teeth needed to be pulled then it would be more. I can appreciate that it costs a lot to set up a office but that cost is way out of my price range. My pockets are not that deep. Then Vets wonder why we don't or really can't afford to have dentals every or every other year. It's not that we don't love our dogs. For me I love them more than people. Make it reasonable and we will be in more or we'll go where it's almost reasonable.

He diagnosed him with every possible brachycephalic problem possible, without so much as one test! He quoted $2500 and up to widen his nostrils and shorten his elongated soft palate. And then said if he found what he was sure he would during surgery that he would stop the surgery and 'have the talk' with us. Meaning he would suggest we put him down. We took him to a Bulldog vet in Wetaskiwin and they did a simple surgery (for $750) and he's as good as new! This man was a total narcissist who obviously had a negative attitude towards brachycephalic breeds. It was disgusting! STEER CLEAR!! Not only does he not have a clue - but he'll rape you for money in the process! Disgusting!!!
