I desperately wanted to eat Korean barbecues in Athens, so that's why I chose this restaurant. But unfortunately, it was not the best option for me. We ordered BBQ All You Can Eat, and it seemed to be nice at first. So, I expected the meat to be of good quality, but it was actually not. The beef was edible but not juicy, while the pork belly we got was not bad but not the best. Also, I was hoping for the meat to be a bit thicker. The price was also expensive compared to the quality of the meat. The side dishes were pretty nice, but for barbecues, it could have been better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the vibe of the restaurant the most, but one time might be enough.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you want to feel the vibe and experience just Korean barbecues, then this restaurant would be the option. But if you want to experience the best one, I would not say that this restaurant is the best one.

We were a party of four and we selected the AYE premium menu. The Banchan was limited but tasty. We also had rice, a salad and a good selection of protein. The food was plenty and we were full at the end. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us continuously. Good place for Korean BBQ, we will come back again.

Decided to try this place out a few days ago. D 92 Korean BBQ is an AYCE restaurant and has been in Athens for a few years now. The only thing good is you don't leave smelling like bbq. We were seated right away upon arriving. Banchan and water brought out shortly after. The pot for the steam egg sat next to our booth the entire time we were there. The container for our water was dirty and I had to wipe it down before using it. The banchan was ok, almost no flavor. We weren't fans of the dipping sauce, Brisket, or bugolgi here. 2 stars for the marinated neck bone. Service was ok. Maybe we'll give this place another chance in the future. As we were leaving I did see that they received an 80 on their last inspection.

I love this place! It was my first time here yesterday and everyone was super helpful and friendly especially our waiter, Daniel. We ordered from the menu (not bbq) because we had a full day of traveling. Daniel still took the time to explain to us about the side dishes. Thank you so much! We are definitely coming back. The portion is huge. Pretty good ambiance. We sat inside and truly enjoyed ourselves.

I love Korean BBQ and have been waiting for a chance to try D92. I was not disappointed. Having tried many other KBBQ places in the Duluth area, I didn't think D92 could compete with those locations, BUT their meats are actually really good. I'm very big on brisket, and I have to admit that D92 probably has the best brisket I've ever eaten. I was very impressed. Their meats are so good that you honestly could eat them straight off the grill without sides, rice, or any of the sauces. The other meats we tried were spicy pork belly and ribeye. They were good as well, but I could probably eat JUST brisket here and be happy. They offer the normal sides that everywhere offers- cheese corn, egg, bean sprouts, salad, radish, kimchi, etc. I was disappointed with their portions though. I felt like we kept having to ask for more, and they'd either forget, take awhile to bring it out, or give us such tiny portions that we ran out almost immediately. The grill has a spot for cheese corn, eggs, and mushrooms. We had to ask them what those spots were for because they didn't initially fill them. And when they did, it was so minimal. We had to keep asking for it to be refilled. D92 would've gotten a 5 star from me if it were purely based on food. But honestly the service wasn't good that I couldn't quite enjoy my experience that much. Their portions were small on the meat as well, and we found ourselves waiting long for each meat. I wish they would've just given more each serving so we wouldn't run out so fast or be waiting on them most of the time. Maybe if you're coming with just 2 people the serving sizes would be sufficient, but this is definitely not a place for a group of 4-5. I don't think they can handle serving a group- or maybe it was just the night and who we had as a server. They weren't crowded at all so I'm confused why they were so slow and stingy.

We ate here when we visited our son in Athens. He has been here a few times and thought we would enjoy it. It was a great experience and our waiter did a great job. This is AYCE experience and takes a couple hours to complete. They bring you out rice and sides then you pick the meats you want to cook. You should know that if one person at your table orders AYCE the entire tables has to order AYCE. Items we tried: Beef Brisket Pork Belly (didn't care for this one) Spicy Shrimp Soy Sauce Chicken Vegetable (seasonal) Bulgogi (ordered it twice) Garlic Chicken (second favorite meat) Spicy Rice Cake (least favorite)

The best Korean bbq in the area we tried 2 others and this was the best place and great costumer service the food was the right consistency and fun they brought tons of little side dishes on the side and we ordered a side of spicy rice cake we had to order that extra but it was cheap and the other place we went to the consistency was way to chewy and not served warm this place deserves a 10/10 stars all the way

Came here on a Sunday for lunch and were seated right away. Restaurant is clean and staff is very attentive and friendly. We chose to cook the meats on our own. Large variety of meats are available with different spice levels. Meat is seasoned well and tender. Shrimp is not peeled and whole. Sides are fresh, beets and greens were crispy and everything is all you care to eat.

Overall the Korean BBQ is fair, nothing special or worth going back. The food: the brisket was frozen when they brought it to us, and more fatty then meaty. The shrimp comes fully shelled which is a pain to peel. You're paying $30 per person, The least they can do is buy peeled shrimp (and deveining for great service!) The rice bowl and sides are too small. Again you're paying for an all-you-can-eat experience and having to locate your server for multiple sides and more rice isn't the business. The service: the server put the flame on too high and burned majority of the brisket in the beginning, never came back to lower the flame. Overall meh

    Great fresh sides

For me it was not easy to cook the food and was very messy. Also it was confusing about how to know what food to select

Haven't gotten the all you can eat special, which maybe what most people come here for. But what I have gotten was tasty.

After taking my first bite my initial thought was 'I will never order this again". I got the pork…read morebelly rice bowl and I absolutely and fully regret eating it. I feel gross and it was such a let down. If y'all know me, you know I'm big on being greeted within the first few seconds of walking into an establishment. The gal didn't say anything to me, just stood at the register waiting for me to order. I asked her what she would recommended between the pork belly bowl or the curry chicken noodle soup and she just said it just depends on if I wanted noodles or rice.. that should Have been my first clue. I hate leaving bad reviews... but this is not my first visit here. The first time I ordered the dumplings with chili sauce, and the older lady was super sweet and it was super delicious. My only qualms were how FILTHY the trash can was and how empty the place was... I was the only customer. It was the same this go around too... no customers, and the trash can was STILL FILTHY!! (And I know they're not busy enough to not get up off their butts and clean!!!) I digress.... The reason I feel grossed out is because the fried egg was barely fried, and there was no seasoning or pizazz to it at all... just a sunny side up on rice and pork belly. The pork belly itself was not fresh. It must have been cooked either earlier in the day or a few days before. I know this because of how the fat in the pork belly tasted. It wasn't cooked well either... there was no crisp to the top part whatsoever and the fatty part.... Well that was the grossest part. It was that gummy slimy texture and that is anything but pleasant. I'm really hoping this place turns itself around.. because I do dig the vibe, but they need to get un lazy and start caring a little more. And I'm not seeing their vision... are they a donut shop.... Hot dog shop... or Asian food...??? I think they would attract more business with a more definitive theme. Like I said, I hate leaving poor reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes they see it. (Oh ya, because calling with a critique is out of the question.... They don't answer their phone!! Tried calling to put in my order). Come Mochinut, do better!!! PLEASE!!!

Indonesian fare is definitely not what I was thinking about today, but after living in Atlanta and…read moreknowing there are a lot of culinary choices, I decided to run by after seeing a new addition on the Mochinut Athens Menu -- they have Indonesian curry chicken on the menu, along with the Indonesian version of hainanese soy-sauce chicken! I was not disappointed except that Chef V said she had to stop doing the Indonese chicken (look it up) and make everything white meat for the locals in Athens. I hope that changes. The soy ginger sauce was excellent. The curry chicken is a definite try for those who would like to sample something different and hot and tasty! In short: Try the spicy dumplings, the curry chicken and the soy sauce chicken dishes here and maybe have a nice pandam mochi donut at the end!
