I forgot to take pictures. Sorry. While visiting my daughter we ate at Wingster. It is a couple blocks from her apartment and she eats there often. We got gimbap, tempura shrimp, beef lomein, and dukbokki. It was too much food! The portions are generous. Their gimbap is great! My daughter really enjoyed the rice cakes and I've never met a tempura shrimp I didn't love. The beef lomein was very sweet, like bulgogi. I wasn't a fan but I prefer savory to sweet with noodles. The noodles had good texture and it was a huge portion. They advertise having bingsu. We didn't try it (it's cold outside!) but are excited to try it when summer comes back. The dining room is nice but we got our order to go so didn't stay to enjoy it. We had intended to get wings there but there were so many other things to choose from we got distracted. We will definitely go back to try the wings (and more gimbap!!!) read more

Not my favorite but it was 3 stars--or A-OK. The General Chicken was good but some of their menu items are odd. They have an AI cover of Miley Cyrus' Flowers on repeat for over 30 minutes inside the restaurant which almost made me lose it. read more

I was in the area for a Dawgs game and needed to find a place for lunch. I had my friend guess a number 1-100 and he picked 27 which happened to be this place's ranking on yelp in our search - so off we went to Wingster. We ordered some wings and some tenders. The wings were def from baby or midget chickens. I've seen small wings before that didn't have a lot of meat on the bone, but these were small like they came from a sparrow. I liked the wild Carolina sauce, but felt bad afterwards because of all the baby chickens or sparrows I just ate. The only reason this place got 2 stars and not 1 is they have an incredible Buffalo Bills poster in the back by the bathrooms. It's a poster of Scott Norwood kicking a field goal in a super bowl with the phrase "Buffalo Ba-Da Bing!" on it. If you know anything about the Bills' super bowl kicking history, you would understand why this poster is so perplexing. If you're looking for tiny wings, a tiny TV, decent prices, and an amazing Bills poster, this place is for you! I'll definitely be back. read more

It's a small business that has solid korean food. It's a shame it doesn't get more business because the food has never disappointed me. I love their kimbap, but they have wings and tteokbokki as well. Very understaffed business sadly. It's an older place, so the layout is a bit simple, but it gets the job done. Doesn't look much when you walk past, but the food is definitely great for a little night snacks with a bunch of friends. The tenders are actually tender. Wings have a nice crisp on the outside and many flavor options. We went with sweet Thai chile for the tenders which was fantastic. Lemon pepper for one set of wings was great. Medium buffalo sauce for the second set was perfect heat that the Anchor Bar (originator of buffalo wings) would have been proud of. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and southwestern chicken wrap for delivery. My delivery was over 30 minutes past the estimated hour and my delivery guy went to my old apartment address even though I had filled out my current house address with the order. I'm not a picky person at all and this is probably the first review I've ever written but the food looked like it would make me sick. The chicken was discolored and grayish brown. I hoped it was only the chicken in my salad but the fried chicken was also gray and tough on the inside. I also found a hair in my food. If there were some way to contact the manager through their website I would have done so but there was no contact information on their website. I'm a college student on a budget and it really sucks to "splurge" on delivery only to receive food that I wouldn't think was safe for my dog to eat. read more

Call me crazy but I came upon this little place beside Jimmy Johns and absolutely loved it. They have so much on their menu to choose from I usually get the number 1 (1/2 hot chicken tenders, fries, and a drink). I also love the donuts they serve here as well they are sooo good! The best thing about this place is that they deliver late and they will deliver pretty far so definitely check this place out if chicken wings are your thing. They also have a variety of asian inspired dishes and philly cheesesteaks as well. The only thing I don't like about this place and this is probably just me but they give you your drinks in a can...as weird as it sounds it bugs me. haha. We just finished what was probably the best wings I have ever had, here at Wingsters. We are traveling thru Athens on our way to Knoxville and decided we would eat a lighteer fare tonight! After reading several other reviews about the food here, we opted to give it a shot. While the decor leaves something to be desired, the food more than makes up for it. Of ourse the typical customer is a college student ordering out for delivery and the decor would not matter. Even with school out for the summer and business slow, there was no warmed up wings here. This place rocks! I've read reviews that the wings were small, burned, and led to food poisoning. I've ordered from Wingster DOZENS of times and never had an issue w/ the last 2 claims. Yes, the wings aren't large; that's reflected in the low price--$13 for 20 wings when others charge $1+/wing. But, the wings are AWESOME, w/ lots of delicious flavors. Delivery usually takes 20-40 minutes, and carries a CHEAP fee; I've only had one incident of a long delivery of nearly 2 hours, but it was a busy weekend night and this business has A LOT of credit built-up w/ me, so, forgiven! Delivered fries are hit-or-miss--sometimes good, sometimes bad. I haven't tried the Asian menu. In-house cashiers have been great and very friendly. There's usually one elderly man of Asian descent running the kitchen; he is kind, friendly, and takes A LOT of pride in the cuisine that he produces. The place is a hole-in-the-wall, but that's part of the charm that lets you know it serves great food! I'm a restaurant manager, and I've NEVER witnessed anything inside this restaurant that would deter my loyalty in the future. We went recently late one night after partying and the roaches were really bad. I ordered here numerous times freshman year and have always been pleased with their food. I still do order here once in awhile as well. My favorite is the sesame chicken. It's about $6 bucks and pretty large portion. I always order ahead and it always takes less than 10 minute. Overall, it's a good place for some fast chicken dishes. Small little place off of Baxter near the college. They deliver late and the campus gets free delivery. They have a variety of wing flavors and sandwiches, plus some Asian dishes. I usually get the number 1 combo: 1/2 lb chicken tenders with your choice of sauce (and they have dozens) french fries and a drink. With a new freshman at UGA, I'm learning the little restaurants around town whenever we go visit. Since this place is about a block from Jr.'s dorm, I thought I'd give it a try while waiting on his class to get finished. Worst wings I've ever encountered, nationwide. They were dry as a bone, yet hot as hell, temp-wise. I suspect they were made earlier, then thrown in the microwave to heat. While I ordered Lemon-pepper, there really was no taste at all. I spoke with the manager - clearly just a student - and he said that's just the way they are. It clearly would have done no good to ask him about the prep or cooking process. He was doing homework at the counter, and I don't guess I can hold him accountable. I did speak to another customer - the only other one there - and he said his meal was acceptable, but not great. Some seafood thing IIRC. I wouldn't go back if it were free. LOCO's is 40 yards away, and a much better choice. read more
