Large selection of polishes both regular and gel. Has the usual shellac odor but not overwhelming and I have asthma. Instruments are disposable packs opened in front if you as you soak so I'm quite pleased. Will return and definitely recommend. read more

A-ok! Not meant to be a spa/salon experience. This is for the quick and dirty pedicure in between errands. Except that it's quick and not dirty. I repeat, not dirty. The guy I had took the nail trimmer out of one of those sealed packages, and the shop itself, while not fancy or sparkling, was a pretty standard nail place that you would find in a Los Angeles strip mall. Massage chairs, of course, are always nice to have, though it's irksome to be reminded that you are short when the shoulder massage starts on your head. He did a base coat, 2 coats of nail polish, and a top coat in just a few minutes. There was some minimal scrubbing and no use of a vegetable peeler, even though my heels probably could have used a little more. Anyway, it appears you can get a longer experience with hot stones etc. for $25 rather than the $22, and there may even be another option for more pampering, but I didn't ask about it (just saw something on the menu of services). Pretty basic stuff, but reasonably well done and at a decent price compared with other places around here. read more

I was disappointed when I walked in and saw new faces, but gave them a chance. My pedicure was okay. My feet look better then they did when I walked in, but I'm not impressed. My polish looks like I did it myself, and the price menu said $22, but they charged me $25, which isn't a big deal, but it just makes me less impressed. I don't splurge on a mani/pedi often, and usually prefer doing them myself. I've honestly gotten about 10 pedicures in my lifetime. D&B is a block from my house, and is my go to place when I have the extra time and cash. The husband and wife that own it are super friendly! My mom insisted on going 10 minutes before close for a pedicure (gah I know) and I tried to get them to tell her 'no' but they still wore smiles throughout and did a great job. The prices are good, the message chairs are fancy and comfy, and the nail tools are new- literally. They take them out of the package pre-mani/pedi and throw them out after. 5 stars to D&B! read more

I wish Yelp could offer a zero star option just for this place. My pedicure/toenail polish lasted all of two hours. I was wearing flip flops, let my toes dry...all the right things. It also took about two hours to complete because my pedicurist kept jumping up every 10 minutes to care for someone else. He was having a loud awkward conversation with a friend of his that came in to visit. I don't like to make snap judgements but she came in the salon with filthy pajama pants and proceeded to eat while sitting at a nail station. Aside from the general unpleasantness, the worst was the practice and cleanliness. My pedicurist was not at all hygienic, I got the most awful gut feeling and honestly I nearly told him to stop working so I could leave about 5 times. I'm so angry at myself for not speaking up at the time. I wasted my time, money and I spent days checking my toes for cuts, scrapes and every itch made me nervous. Stopped here yesterday on a whim. Was advised (by a 12 year old) they take walk-ins, so I waited. The young boy who was helping should have been a huge red flag, but I waited. After about 30ish minutes, a tech asked me what I was having done. Advised her just a manicure and I showed her a picture of what I was looking for. Basically it was a french manicure, but with orange and blue. She looked at my nails and said no problem, it would just be a few more minutes to wait. I have been to D&B Nails a few times now. The price is great and the people are very nice but I have noticed that the quality is mediocre. I just went last night to get my acrylic nails filled and they look terrible. They are just clear acrylic with white tips and there is a VERY definite line where the new acrylic meets the old. I am very upset by this and that they would let me walk out looking like that! I have engagement pictures and am just hoping that the line doesn't show up in them! read more

Very rude people who run this place. Do not know what customer service is. That's okay they lost business! They were just close but now I will travel that extra distance. Don't ever get your face waxed here. Oh yeah and if you have an appointment doesn't matter someone who doesn't have an appointment can take yours. And you will sit for 30 min with your feet in water while he finishes her. Thought that was terrible made my appointment at 1:15 because I work..... made an appointment for Wednesday and I think the woman got mad she had to fix my wax three tomes be SHE missed spots... for 55.00 it better be right lol... anyways she says she can't do my nails now for personal reasons. So... I have tried to like this place so hard. I really like the woman who does my nails, however I think I've only been truly satisfied with one manicure. Made an appointment last week and was so excited to have my nails done after Months of no manicures. Asked for a dip manicure which is my usual. Pam, who did my nails, didn't give me a manicure at all. Just took off my old polish, dipped my nails in ONCE in the dip when they usually do it twice, and charged me $50. I wouldn't mind had I actually gotten the full treatment. Not only that, but parts of my nails had missing spots where the powder didn't set and within about 5 days all my nails are chipping off, which has never happened with the dip. So, after numerous visits where I they have cut me to the point where I bleed and just don't offer the best service, I'm finished. Also, I don't think it's professional to refer to all your female customers as "dear." read more

Super disappointed in the service I didn't receive.... I made an appointment for 4:30. I showed up at 4:25 for my appointment, but the nail tech I was scheduled with took another person right before I got there and had just started with her. Right when i got there, i was told it would only be a few minutes until my turn. The place is nice and the music is awesome..not a big reg polish selection. but the employees are rude and two people told me two different prices for a polish change (non gel) on hands and feet one said $25 which is what i typically would pay ...But then I was told $40. For a non gel polish change. They didn't clean the polish off my fingers that was left and the didn't fully polish the whole nail... honestly I feel like it was a rip off $40 for polish that will only last 3 days and it wasn't a "perfect" job !!! This place is by far the worst nail salon I've ever been to. The prices were not displayed correctly, as I was charged $6 more than what was shown on the display. The wait was super long. My experience was truly not a relaxing one. The lady that did my nails was super aggressive with everything she did; filing my nails, clipping my nails, turning my hands, massaging my hands, etc. I paid for a manicure which includes a hand massage and she spent a total of 30 seconds on both hands combined. I think my nails looked nice but I was overcharged and the guy gave me things I didn't ask for. I said I just wanted an acrylic set of nails and he did gel and charged me for it. It was almost $50. He asked if I wanted regular polish or not and I said yes I did want regular. Just feel like I got scammed because I did not ask for this. My sister went here before and they called her a dumbass, so I was really hesitant on giving them a try but I gave in, and I wish I didn't. Not only did I pay $50, but the nails on an entire hand fell off. I went back in to have them fixed and they kept falling off. The employees told me I just had oily nail beds and I shouldn't get acrylics. I went to another nail salon when it was time to get the nails redone and not a single nail came off. I have tried to stop here about 4 times over the last few months and it is always closed even though posted hours say it should be open. They did a fantastic job waxing my eyebrows, the prices were on point, and the pedicure massage was nice. But they did cut my toe and my shellac on my manicure stuck and sealed my nail to my skin. I won't be stopping in anymore since they are sporadically closed but if they had not been I would've continued coming only to get my eyebrows done. read more

The salon was clean, everyone was friendly and the work Anna did was great. That was one of the best hand massages I have received. Worst nail salon I've EVER been to! I went in for a full set, and wanted them stiletto shaped. I showed him a picture of the nail shape I wanted multiple times, and every nail looked different. They were not stiletto shaped, completely uneven, and even the girl next to me said they were uneven as well. I didn't even let him start to shape the other hand when I asked him to just stop and to take them off. He then proceeded to tell me that I still need to pay $20, and I told him I was not going to pay him $20 for taking them off. HE messed them up in the first place! That's why I stopped before he could even get to my other hand. After arguing with me he finally decided to cut off all of my nails. However he purposely ripped up each nail to the point where it actually hurt me. He then cleaned up his things and walked away. I got up and left without a word. That was one of the most childish and unprofessional things I've ever seen someone do. I had to clip all of my nails and file them myself, and am now left with acrylic on my nail that will have to be taken off. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Not a fan at all. I called but no one answered so I dropped in. Once seated, I was bombarded with questions about how my manicurist should handle a personal issue. In the middle of my acrylic set, the manicurist spent several minutes with his back turned, on a personal Facebook PM argument, while I was ignored (no, this was not during a drying session). The personal drama questions persisted after. As a therapist, I feel I should send them a bill for the 45 minute therapy session! Needless to say, my service experience was terrible. My fiancé was disappointed with the thick and clunky nails. I've had acrylics done before that were much better. Went to get eyebrows waxed. The lady had no idea what she was doing. Ended up geting wax Iin my hair then put baby oil in it to try and get the wax out of my hair. Globbed wax no where near eyebrows then put strip on the wax and just lifted off. Needless to say, my eyebrows were unrtouched. She spoke absolutely no English so I couldn't communicate with her. I am never one to write a bad review, but this is absolutely necessary after what I experienced at this nail salon today. I walked in to get a shellac manicure, something I have gotten many times at other salons, but it was my first time coming to this salon. My experience seemed normal enough until it came time to paint on my shellac. I had chosen a deep vampy red that was almost black and when she painted it on it was bright pink and incredibly streaky. Thinking this is fairly normal for a first coat, I waited until the second coat to start worrying. Second coat was no better. Still bright pink, still streaky. My manicurist swore that it would get better with a third coat, it didn't. I told her I was not happy with how things were turning out and she went and searched for a new crappy polish and began to paint it over my existing polish to try and darken it. This, of course, made it worse. I told her just to finish my mani because I was getting upset and I wanted to leave. At this point, the owner of the salon walked outside and my manicurist whispered to me that she knows the shellac polishes they use are bad quality but the owner doesn't care. This is absolutely ludacris to me. She ended up putting 7 coats of shellac on my nails to make them at least presentable. 7 coats. Unreal. I will never ever go back due to the shady business practices. read more

When I first walk in, I notice not alot of people there speak english, But then there was this nice lady who look around her 30 with long hair. She was very nice and ask me what I need to get done.
