It was a disappointing day... Drove quite a ways to get the stuff I wanted... Useless... You can't use it online to will-call the stuff either. Your only option is to pay an extra $100 to have it delivered... Totally disappointed. The management was apologetic, so I'm not listing it low because of anyone in the store, just terrible policies and limited options.

When asked to color match a Sherwin Williams paint color, they said "we'll give it a try" and they really came through. They had everything I needed for my project and I was out of there in a reasonable amount of time. Here's the kicker: when I was running low on paint, I called and talked to Jim. He still had the codes in the system and said the gallon would be waiting for me when I got to the store! WHAT? No "I need a credit card to pre-pay". It was down home, small town customer service you don't get from the big box stores and they really saved the day and I really appreciated that. Kuna Lumber is my new go-to whenever I need supplies.

One of the best well known traditions in France for Christmas and New Year's are Papillotes. They are French chocolate confections, traditionally filled with nuts, fruit paste, or nougat, and individually wrapped in foil or paper. They are a popular Christmas treat in France, with each package typically containing an assortment of different flavors and a small message inside, like a fortune cookie. One popular brand is Révillon, yet absent from the shelves at World Market. I appreciate the Bonne Maman jams Advent Calendar but that's it. There's a tremendous opportunity here for World Market to have more French chocolate and candy offerings. The Provence is famous for their nougats and they would be an excellent addition to the assortment. Looking for a cool gift idea, pop-up Christmas card, English shortbreads or KitKats from Asia, World Market has it but they don't have any Papillotes from France.

I needed a brief tutorial, and Tyler spent as much time as needed to be sure I saw how all the sprinkler pieces went together. Later I called for an additional piece and they answered my question. THEN the guy asked me a question about how I was using it to be sure I got the right size. What service, going beyond the surface to be sure a customer gets what they need. Went on line and found the instructions from the manufacturer, Rockler. Found that I needed a 1" Shoulder Mandrel with 5/16"-18 thread, SOLD SEPARATELY. In a panic, because I have l only have a limited time to make this gift for a grad, I called the store, they don't carry this item. Ugh!! Management, please carry the parts for the projects you sell, it's so difficult being a novice woodturner and dealing with this "discovery" process. Sure, I found the part on-line paying freight to get it in 6-8 days. There goes my window of time to get this project done.
