Beware Sticky Fingers!!! Do not hire this moving company!!! They misplaced a new skateboard that was not packed but moved as an item in the room. The skateboard was new with plastic still on the wheels and it had been purchased for my show dog. The movers had brought their kid to help small kid 6-10 yrs old. They allowed the kid to carry small items to the truck, and the skateboard was one of those items. I even had to tell the kid to not ride the board as he had tried to ride it out to the truck and laughed when I said it was for my dog. The move went fine so I thought and it was within the quote. I had tipped $150 and even gave a grill to one of the movers that was practically new as we could not use it at our new place and that grill was close to 400 new. It makes no sense for the skateboard to be taken. I waited until all boxes were put away to make sure it was not hidden underneath a pile of stuff before I reported it, but it is not in our new place. I asked D&D to check to see if it was still in a truck or something and they replied it was not in any truck and asked for the cost of the board. I said I originally bought the board for $169 but I see one on sale for $152 on Amazon. No reply back, a week later I asked again if they would be reimbursing me for the board and No Response. So they are not taking responsibility for theft and I now do not recommend them to anyone. Beware of the sticky fingers. read more

Upon referral I chose this company to move my mother from her home in Huntsville, to an assisted living facility in College Station. So the bedroom suit and two recliners plus a couple of deco tables was going to cost me $800. The bed needed to be taken apart and the three movers did this. After approximately 30 minutes the truck was loaded and they were ready to go. I gave each $20 to get lunch on the way to College Station. It took them approximately 20 minutes to unload. They appeared to be putting the bed together. Upon them leaving I found the bed was not put back like it was found. I called and was offered to have the movers return or come back the next day to finish the job. Being a 62 year old male I just told the woman I would do it myself. Everything else was fine, those three suckers took my $60 tip. I wonder if they would do this to their kin folks. Lesson learned: Don't use D&D and don't tip fools until they finish and you have inspected their work. When will folks go back to just doing their job and doing it right? read more

Horrible company and also dishonest. Will sell you insurance to let you feel your belongings are protected and then damage your furniture by just working fast but not cautiously. I had 3 pieces of furniture that were all less than 2 years old. So, brand new and had the receipts to show to prove it. Basically, furniture was moved once into my home by furniture company in perfect condition and not moved again until Regis rent move. My move was literally within the same neighborhood and maybe only a mile or two away. I had a lot of things and my move was expensive, but was willing to pay. It was done off of an inventory sheet, not hourly. Movers came but started getting in a huge race to get done and pretty much manhandling the furniture on some pieces that should of had a person on each side to cautiously move in. A lot of things were left at the end still shrink wrapped with paper and not in place which I ended up having to take care of myself. Upon getting things in place, I first. Priced a nick my stairway floor. This is a brand new construction home, so already floor damage. Then I noticed a chunk of wood in my husbands base cabinet in the office and then off of two of my bedroom dressers. By this time since I had only bought the furniture 2 or less years ago (bedroom stuff April 2021), I was getting very upset since I already had felt they were just rushing and not being careful. I called the office and they told me to put in a claim and send the email to their claims handler along with photos and description details, so I did. I had first offered for them to come walk the home and see the damage first hand, but they declined at that time. I also sent them receipts if my purchase etc so they new this was the first move for these furniture pieces. The lady called and said she needed someone to come inspect the furniture on Monday. This was on Thursday, and to see if it could be repaired. Repaired when big chunks of wood missing? Who knows Huy I agreed. Then instead she sent the head mover. I told him that they could not just try to fix my good furniture with kitty and he said no they use a furniture maker to fix. So I responded with that is like to know who the company is, see some of their work (photos would be fine) and have an eta on when they pick up my furniture, when would I be getting it back? A month, weeks, months? Seemed valid concerns and/questions. Next thing you know, I get an email from the lady rep again saying he said I refused to get the furniture fixed and she is denying my claim since I did not know the damage before they left. They never gave me a minute to check. They had me sign and out the door and some stuff still wrapped up! Plus I paid for complete replacement cost of my furniture and she is denying my claim. Horrible horrible experience. Would highly recommend to stay clear! My previous moving company retired so I was forced to find one this time. Big big mistake! Beware!!! I am a Realtor and will save any of my clients from this company. Too many others to chose from that May care about your stuff! We were extremely overwhelmed in completing a move from College Station to St. Louis. D&D Moving made the experience easy and stress free. Dan set up a very reasonable price and it did not change. Jackie, in the office, was communicative and extremely helpful. The team that moved us were the STARS. We have moved many times and have never had such a kind, polite and hardworking crew. They were very careful with our items and made sure we were aware of their location as they traveled. We literally had 100 plus boxes in a truck and then again in storage in less than an hour. However, they never rushed or were careless with our items. While the rest of our move has been stressful, the moving of our personal items was the easiest and most stress-free of the experience. We are super happy that we found D&D! We had to move furniture from CS to Austin, with two stops in Austin. And we had to get it done within the next couple of days!! D&D responded super fast to our inquiry and answered several questions before giving us a quote! We scheduled the move and D&D was super easy to work with! When we noticed we forgot to add a mattress and a mirror they added it to the list just like that! The crew came early to load the truck, but did not rush us in any way! We reserved our move months ago. Madison promised 4 guys and a large truck for a whole home move starting at 8 am, lasting 8-9 hours, with promises to wrap our heavy and expensive furniture. Moving day-no one shows at 8....after repeated calls, various excuses and delays, 3 movers and two small trucks finally show at 1:20pm, tired after having already completed other jobs. it took 2 trips to complete the move and at 9:45pm the job was as complete as it was gonna get. Furniture was not wrapped properly resulting in dents and scratches, plus several scratches on the new tile floor. The 3 guys did a fair job with what they had to work with, which was not much. We have moved all over the country and this was by far the worst move ever. Dan's comment that morning was "if you don't like it, you can cancel the move". read more

The problem is that they stopped on the way to deliver my furniture and picked up another load. I can only assume the movers crammed the other furniture in with such force that my 65" Samsung tv and my other beautiful pieces of furniture were ruined or damaged. In addition, without asking they charged me $100 for insurance. I lowballed my damages hoping to simply get enough for a new tv, about $600. I didn't realize their insurance had a $500 deductible. So they ended up offering me a net amount of $30. Yes, they have insurance but it's not to protect you as their brochure states. It's just to protect themselves. D and D showed up with a gooseneck trailer to move my belongings from 2 storage units..a 10x20 and a 10x30 (both full). I had completed the inventory they sent so they were aware of how big a truck would be needed. Needless to say, I had to make at LEAST (no exaggeration) 10 extra trips with my SUV, my daughter made 2 trips with her Tahoe, and my son-in-law made 2 trips with his large, full size pick-up. Maybe they need to rethink how they determine the size truck that is needed? Also, when I hire someone, I do not expect them to be on their cell phones talking with their friends while I am paying them for their time. D and D needs a policy for cell phone use during moving of customer's belongings. I would NOT hire them again. Ever. It was a nightmare. read more

I would not recommend this company to move anything of importance. We contracted with them to move our home and store items while our new residence was remodeled. We had requested leather furniture, clothing, bedding and piano be placed in climate control storage. We have moved often and believed we had already experienced the worst of movers, not so. D & D are added to that list. They were late, did not bring truck promised and came with lazy employees who could not have cared less about our belongings. They were to box everything one day and load the next day. We ended up boxing 2 rooms and the garage items ourselves after they left the first day. Day 2 was to take half a day but after a full day they were not finished, a day 3 was needed to complete the first act in the nightmare. Fast forward to moldy beds and clothes, broken dining table (which was moved with the leaf left in), and chipped furniture. We also had an insurance issue. After paying $100 for an insurance policy, we had to make a claim to cover deep scratches in an antique mahogany dresser. They sent out a young man who wanted to put a matching magic marker in the grooves. We told him that the top needed to be refinished. After numerous calls and filling out of claims, there is still no resolution. We did not even file on the numerous small dents and chips. Don't use this company. read more

The movers came an hour late. They complained about their travel from another move and how they had to sleep in the truck. They also complained about how much they had to move. The communication between the movers and office staff was not accurate so the movers were very frustrated that a lot of things weren't on their list. So they had my husband and I pack a lot of boxes and picked and chose what they wanted to take in the truck. (We ended up having four car loads of stuff left over that they chose not to take) It rained pretty hard for about 4 hours. They stopped for 3 hours, while the lead mover took a nap in the truck. Then, they decided that they have to work because it was getting late. (They charged us for the time they took naps.) We eventually got to our house for unloading. The lead mover was careless and hit our wall with the fridge and left a huge dent in our wall. (Brand new house!!) he offered 60 dollars off our move or we could file a claim. He stopped working to take care of that while the other two movers moved everything. 14 hour job- terrible service. Update: I would like to first say this review is to simply explain our experience with the move. This review does not state any opinions other than we feel it was terrible service. The owner did contact me and offer to pay for any damage done and was very apologetic for what had happened. We took care of the damage and did not charge the company. read more

AGGIES BEWARE. USE D&D MOVERS AT YOUR OWN RISK. We hired D&D to pack and move our belongings from a house in BCS to storage in Houston. They destroyed a 40" TV and a 27" computer monitor. Glassware, dishes and valuable artifacts arrived broken in pieces. Furniture was poorly wrapped in blankets or plastic so tables/chests were scratched and dinged. Boxes and upholstery were crushed by careless stacking. A large expensive inkjet printer was shipped on end in spite of instructions, but survived. Although the crew was pleasant and polite, we paid extra for professional packers but they turned out to be the same as the movers. As packers they were inept. Although untouched, our stuff was in storage more than 90 days so D&D refused to take responsibility for the damage. The "increased" insurance we paid extra for was denied. Our advice is to pack your own belongings, especially fragile items, electronic gear or valuable artifacts. USE D&D MOVERS AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

If I give me a 0 star I would have! This company doesn't deserve even a star! I had D&D Movers in college station tx move me on July 18 2015. The day before my move, I recieved a email from an employee from D&D Movers asking if they could move back my appointment time from the 8am I'd requested to 12pm that Saturday. When I made contact with D&D Movers that afternoon. I was inform that the truck that was planned to move me was out of town, and wouldn't be back in town till around 12pm on the Saturday of my move. I told them that would be fine! Do to those reasons! On Saturday! I called that morning to make sure that we were still planning on the truck getting to my house at 12pm liked promised. The guy that answer the phone that morning. Informed me that my truck was not out of town, and that they booked it for another morning move in college station. And that they would still be there at 12pm. When I heard this I was very upset, I told the guy that I was told that truck was out of town. I didn't agree to have my time change for them to do another move before mine. The guy told he would have the driver call me asap! Once the driver called me, he told me that "D&D Movers" told him to do the other move first. Once I'd informed him of what had happen. The driver told me he would be at my house in 30 minutes! After several calls to the driver, and serveral "I'll be there in 30mins". Finally The driver finally called me at 4pm. The driver said he was on the way to my house. Finally at 4:45pm, "8 hours 45 minutes late" "D&D Movers" show up. Once the driver and crew gets out of the truck, you can tell that their very exhausted from the move before mine. The driver told me that it should take no longer than 2-21/2 hours total. Once the crew got started, you can tell they moving very slowly. "they only had to move stuff from our living room, 1 bed room, and garage" where everything was put so it could be moved faster! Once they were in the bedroom, I had a L shape desk. The crew tried for several minutes to get the desk apart. After several failed attempts the crew force the desk apart and broke it! Now it does not go back together correctly! I explained Monica what had happened to the desk and how it was broken by the movers "forcibly", including my dresser drawers being scratched. we reach an agreement for a settlement to have the desk cost replaced ,dresser cost to be fixed, and refund for 2 hours. Monica told me that she was mailing out a check to me on 8/19/2015. Now as of 9/1/2015 no settlement check has been received at my PO Box. Once I notified started Monica a week after it hasn't shown up, she has now been avoiding my calls!!! I don't recommend this moving company to anybody unless you just really want to get your money taken from you! read more

About a year ago we used D&D to help us move from Bryan to south College Station. I am a homebuilder in the B/CS area and have referred many clients to D&D. The appointment set up was convenient and very friendly and I confirmed with D&D that the move would be insured due to the fact that we were not only moving our belongings, but after recently losing my mother and grandmother, we were also moving many heirlooms and very valuable items. I was assured repeatedly that the move would be insured. The movers arrived about an hour late that day, but when they showed up they were very personable and got right to work. Once the movers got to our new address and were unloading my wife and I wanted to extend a thank you for their hard work so we bought them pizza and soda. They were very appreciative, and before they left they asked me almost as an afterthought on their way out the door, to sign a paper "real quick" to acknowledge that they had completed the move. "Just sign and initial here real quick to confirm that we completed the move". I did so and thanked them again as they left. They seemed to be in a hurry, but I figured that was due to their next job. My wife and I walked in the house and started organizing things and when I plugged in my tv and turned it on we noticed the LCD panel on the interior of the tv screen was spiderwebbed and had no picture anymore. This wasn't just one of our bedroom tv's, but was our 80" 3-D HD television that we were also planning to use that upcoming Saturday for a party we were hosting during the A&M vs Alabama game. I was shocked and pretty upset, but I new we were at least covered by the insurance so I called D&D to file a claim. The girl I spoke to took my information and explained that claims needed to be processed and it would take some time to speak to the guys who moved us as well as file the paperwork, but she assured me we would be taken care of. Several days go by and I hadn't hear anything, and I started to feel like I was getting the run around. When I called to check the status the girl told me there was a process and I told her I understood, but we would really appreciate some form of an update on that process and that I was obviously frustrated. She did not seem to take well to my frustration and had some choice words for me. The conversation did not end well, but it at least got the owner Dan to promptly give me a call. He said he was aware of the situation and that he was looking at our file. He pointed out that I had signed a paper that declined insurance and therefore there's nothing they could do to help. I was so taken aback by the outrageous claim I didn't even know what to say. I had made it very clear numerous times throughout the process that I wanted our move to be covered by insurance from the time I scheduled the appointment to when the movers arrived. After I got off the phone with Dan, my wife and I were baffled... The only thing I had signed was what the mover said was "just to confirm that the move had been completed". I realized at that moment that what I had signed was actually a waiver of insurance coverage. The reason they rushed out the door so quickly (after they completed the job, ate the pizza we bought them, and drank the soda we bought them) was because they knew good and well they had duped us. Whether they knew they broke the tv or not they did not in ANY WAY WHAT-SO-EVER mention anything about declining insurance on that piece of paper. I had absolutely ZERO reason to decline the insurance and luckily none of my other belongings or my mother's and grandmother's valuables were damaged. However, I was left with a $5000 tv that was now trash. I immediately spoke to my attorney and realized there was nothing I could do considering that single piece of paper had my signature and initials on it and that's all D&D needed. I no longer recommend D&D to clients or anyone in the B/CS area for that matter, rather I warn them that the movers employed by D&D may very well try to pull one over on them. I know better than anyone to always read the fine print, but in a place like B/CS sometimes you can let the initial small town hospitality cloud your judgement. I always happily support the local businesses in B/CS, but I will never support D&D again. read more

What a great experience in moving! Quinten, Quincy, and Norris arrived at my house right on time to begin loading our things onto their truck. They were so friendly, courteous, and careful. They had all of the right equipment and knew how to wrap things (a television) so they would not be damaged during transit. They made sure everything was secure so nothing would fall over. The guys worked quickly. Once we arrived at our destination, they got everything up to a second floor residence with no problems. These guys are great. Not one scratch. Professional and polite. On 10/4/16, I posted a fair assessment of the experience I received from D & D Movers in College Station. Since that time, I received an email from the new Owner of D & D Movers, offering an apology and a fair resolution to the service I received. I realize one bad employee can really influence a job and the experience received by the customer. Most important, I appreciate the effort the new Owner of D&D Movers has demonstrated in correcting the environment of the company and his attention to customer service. While it was a bad experience, I accept the Owners apology and ask everyone to know the environment of the company has changed under his leadership and the company can now be trusted for customer service. read more

The initial contact with this company was very positive. I contracted with them to pick up my stuff and store it, then deliver to my new location. I was assured that great care would be taken to keep my things in good shape; the same people would be used to take my goods out of storage and deliver to me at my new location. Ultimately, I ended up with damaged goods and missing boxes. Efforts to contact the company to try locate missing boxes ended up being ignored. The experience was most disappointing. Assurances that my things would be stored all together and be loaded by the same people to guarantee that I got everything were, apparently, false. I can not recommend using this company. read more

BEWARE - these guys will sweet talk you until they get your money. They will steer you towards the lowest insurance possible - because it only obliges them to pay for damages BASED ON WEIGHT!!! According to that insurance - a cinderblock brick is worth more than the Hope Diamond. They moved me from Texas to Oklahoma, and almost every piece of wooden furniture had scratches or gouges in it. They DESTROYED several pieces - including a 120yr old wicker rocker - that had been in family for 4 generations - that I REPEATEDLY told them was "fragile as eggs" - THEY SAT A TV ON IT!!!!!!!! Then they said it was only worth $24 in insurance coverage!!!! They were supposed to be there at 9am - they came after 8pm. There was PROMISED to be 6 guys - there were 3. And - for some strange reason - after they loaded my stuff on truck #1 - they drove back to College Station and RELOADED it all onto truck#2 before going onto Oklahoma. Why??? I wrote a negative review on their FaceBook page - and they DELETED IT and blocked me!!! THEN Mr. Dan Daniel (owner) threatened me with SLANDER!!! It isn't slander if it's TRUE.
