Online diagnostics indicated the relay was bad & the whole board needed to be replaced (typ $163 for part or $700 for pts & service) . Joey from Air Care came by, checked and found 1 wire was not connected ... and problem was FIXED! No up-sale. No replacing the board like I thought I needed. A super Friendly, Knowledgeable, and Honest guy ... which just cost me $89 for the quick same day visit. Boy am I happy. And ... why did I clean my fan myself??? Well a Different Company offered me a "free inspection" and told me my fan was really dirty and so on and sent me a $2100 upsale quote. We replaced our 32-year old system last month. Lewis Air came to offer a quote. I liked the person…read morethat came by. He seems transparent but low pressure. He checked our current system and provided the data and a clear explanation of how the freon was likely leaking. Our splits were about 9-10, which means the cool air coming out of the vent is only an average of 10 degrees cooler than the house temp. This is pretty inefficient and why I've been spending so much money on electricity (and I have solar). Anyway, we decided to move forward with one of the 3 quotes provided. We went with a variable a/c unit because it can choose to work less during times when it's not super hot. So far we've tested it on some warm nights and it cools the house faster. We used to have to set the thermostat to 67 and have the a/c work full time to get our bedroom to a cool level. Now, if we set it at 71-72, our room is already cool pretty fast. We'll see how it does this summer, but already it's obvious that this system will cool our home faster and without working so hard. Anyway, the overall experience with Lewis Air was positive and I'd recommend them to all.

Leo (main installer) was amazing - hard working, accommodating, and very knowledgeable! Poor guy was in my attic, which felt like it was 120+ degrees, for hours! I did recently reach out for a for a service call out. I wanted to discuss a few other options that were originally discussed but at the time I waited on. Gabby took care of scheduling me - great customer service, polite, and considerate of my request and needs. Martin came out to address my later service call request, he was on time, professional and informative. We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. I could not have asked for a better experience! They really work with you and everyone, from installer to office staff to upper management were amazing, responsive and helpful.
