Late to the…read moreappointment, required multiple follow ups, and I still have not formally received repair photos and an inspection report as promised - ghosted. Had a roof leak coming from the roof valley & chose Meyer Roof Company because Cory, who answered my inquiry, offered to tarp the roof for free right before a rainstorm, which felt like a strong sign of customer care. He also seemed like a personable and charismatic sales rep over the phone. However, from the start, I felt wary about the service. He sent what he described as his "best technician" for the tarp. They arrived later than the ETA, but no big deal because no rain yet. What was odd was that the two technicians who showed up repeatedly expressed their fear of heights and the task, which made me feel nervous about the actual repair work itself. Upon discussing with Cory, I later learned they were carpenters rather than the roof specialists who would be performing the work, but it did contribute to a loss of confidence. When it came time to receive the quote, I asked whether a drone inspection would be performed since no roofing specialist had visited the property to visually assess or diagnose the issue beforehand. I was told that a drone inspection would be conducted, but I did not receive any footage, photos, or follow-up discussion regarding the findings. After I followed up for a quote, I received later that day and asked for clarification on how the pricing was developed. On the call, I was asked the square footage and material, which made me wonder if those key factors were captured from the drone and considered in the quote. I was later told that the pricing was intentionally structured as a comprehensive "catch-all" figure to minimize the likelihood of change orders once work began. We ultimately reached a discounted amount, with a mold inspection and ceiling paint to cover the stain at no charge, (I asked if we should include it in the scope, he said it would be not be written in and would be done as a favor), and we proceeded. Scheduling was another challenge. I was told "Our tile technicians would be able to complete it in one day. We would start at 8 AM to ensure we can complete it by 5 PM." No reminders, no ETA, there was no proactive communication until I followed up nearly half an hour past the appointment time. I was told they were finishing a job in Santa Ana. Eventually a group chat was created with the director of construction and superintendent. I was told they were stuck in traffic, and a representative arrived about 1.5 hours late for an 8 AM start time. Joe, the superintendent, showed up first to re-ask where the issue was located before diagnosing the problem, which reinforced the quote felt more like a general estimate rather than a tailored assessment. Materials were later picked up mid-day from the boneyard, and the actual repair crew didn't show up and begin work until the afternoon. The good news is the repair itself was completed successfully with a water test, and Steven, the director of construction, came and walked me through what was done. He showed me photos and told me they would be provided in a formal report so I didn't have to take a photo of the photo. Regarding the favor, before the repair, I reminded Joe about the mold check and stain painting. The crew kindly handled the stain painting until it was no longer visible, using leftover paint I had - I genuinely appreciated it. Steven said he'd follow up on the mold inspection, but I did not hear back. Despite multiple follow-ups (including in the group chat), I never received the photos nor inspection report and was essentially ghosted - no response. I had called about a week after and they supposedly happened to be talking about me and Cory would take care of it that day himself, but I did not receive anything. I had to informally receive photos from my friend who received them from the actual repair man. Regarding the mold inspection, from the same follow up call, Cory briefly said there was no mold. He had told me the tarp carpenter would be the one handling it, and although the tarp carpenter never came out and I didn't see anyone out there detecting, I let it go because it was not formally scoped. I had hoped this would be the beginning of a long-term relationship, especially for a future full roof replacement, but the communication gaps and missing documentation makes it hard for me to trust the process for a larger, higher-cost project. Overall, the repair got done and some of the on-site crew were kind and helpful, but consistency, communication, and follow-through need significant improvement.

He came out and supervised the 2nd time and they did much more work (which indicated to me that that they were going to leave they job and collect payment with the first job). They do not warranty their work when it comes to repairs (any repairs). They were upfront with that and I understood. One year after the repair my roof was fine, as there was not much rain that year. Almost exactly 2 years later, after the heavy rains, it leaked in the exact same spot. I wasn't expecting them to re-do it for free this time and stated that, but they told me they were not interested in doing anymore work for me.

With these recent rains, our ceiling started to leak (which was the same reason why we had our roof changed by them years ago - in the same spot!) and we go on the roof and the roofing shingles/material is all lifted like it was not secured down. Like you can literally pick it up! We also find flashing missing and a contractor that came to look at the roof asked how it possibly could pass permit inspection! As I recall, they were also slow on the job when they completely disappeared for a few days before showing up again to finish. We thought they were supposed to be a decent company, but it turns out their work was pretty shoddy, sad to say.
