D&H should be your first choice in you HVAC needs. My AC went out at the beginning of a large heat wave and they were able to pencil me in two days later when everyone else said it would be well over a week. I am a big DIY and did as much as I could myself to fix my AC . I had the AC back up and running but hit a road bump and could not figure out why I could not control it from my Tstat. Hans came out, flipped a switch and it was back to normal. Hans took time to explain to me what happened and what to do in the future if the pressure switch tripped again. He also explained some other preventative maintenance practices he suggested and said he would be happy to sell me parts if I ever needed them for repairs. He did not charge me anything for the brief visit, whereas several companies wanted money up front to just get a an appointment on their books. He troubleshot our furnace, took plenty of time to educate us on how the HVAC system works (and how some big name companies try to sell you on the "obsolete" nature of your current system, setting the stage for a big score on replacing your furnace and/or AC.) Hans made a simple repair to our furnace that another big name company had already said wasn't likely possible or cost effective if it was. Hans charged us a very fair price for the repair too! We're soooo glad we called him. From the previous company's assessment, we thought we were looking at a $10,000 decision, to have to replace our furnace and AC condenser. Hans came out a day after I called about an issue with my AC system yesterday. Self-diagnosis said that the capacitor was not the issue and low refrigerant pressure/levels were the issue. Ten (10) min in, he diagnosed that one side of the capacitor was not working properly to start the compressor. Everything else seemed to work properly. Hans was extremely helpful and professional. Diagnosed the issue quickly and accurately. Response time was far better than "those other guys" which were a week or more out. Highly recommended!
