At 7am, my tenants shared that the furnace was only blowing cold air. I reached out to several companies via Yelp, including S&N Mechanical. Shane was one of the first to respond and I was on the phone with him before 9. He was able to get me in in the 10-12 window that day and answered all of my questions regarding services and price. He texted me and the tenants when he was on it way - arriving at 11:30. At my request, he also called me after taking a look at the furnace to share what he noticed and his recommendations, as well as provide cost transparency. I also asked is he was able to complete an overall maintenance on the furnace. He was in and out in 30-45 minutes and I was able to pay the invoice online. He sent me a detailed invoice with before and after pictures. Requested a quote for some HVAC work. I laid out on the phone what I was looking for. Someone came out to inspect our vents and do some counting and measurements. He left saying he would provide a quote in the next day. I didn't receive a quote. A week later on followup I didn't get a response. I took a big chunk off work to make sure I could show him around and let him get the necessary information. As a parent with a busy schedule and stressful job, leaving work and causing me to waste a lot of time like that is real poor from S&N. In the future it would be better if S&N tried to screen my request on the initial call. read more

I plan to have a 600 cfm kitchen hood install hence need an existing make up air damper to open when the hood is operating per code. Appliance company will not do any hard wire to hood itself and advise the common approach using an air sensor switch to operate make up air damper. I have spoke to several hvac company in town but most aren't able to perform or understand the task requested. Shane with S&N is able to help me install such air flow/pressure sensor switch for my kitchen ventilation make up air damper. I reached out last week, amid the Covid-19 shutdowns and half-operations, because we needed someone to come and service our furnace, as well as help with the thermostat that kept going out. They set up an appointment right away, and showed up when they said they would. Shane was great, very quick, quiet, and courteous. My husband was working from home and my daughter was with us. Our A/C stopped working near the end of the stretch of 90+ deg temps in August; there were a couple very uncomfortable evenings in our home as a result. We requested several quotes via Yelp (very handy!!) and S&N responded within the hour. We did our due diligence by reading the reviews of all the companies who responded to the RFQ and also checked BBB. Shane was just a little bit late to the appointment, but he texted us well in advance to let us know so it wasn't an inconvenience at all. S&N was great to work with. Shane came out and took his time to provide a well thought out estimate that met our tight budget. We simply needed new ducting to an addition we are constructing ahead of winter. Shane was out of control GOOD. Me and my wife have been tossing and turning all night for SEVERAL HOT nights because I could not figure out our A/C problem. Had called other repair services that just jacked me around. TOTAL waste of time. I called S & N mechanical from a yelp search. They are VERY courteous and very helpful and got me on their schedule for that day. (Mind you this is early Summer in the middle of a heat wave.) Shane, their Tech showed up on time and I gave him our problem history......then I left him alone to work....I did not want to interfere with his diagnosis. Note. Shane is VERY polite, professional and knowledgeable. He had our situation (which is not the usual.......we had a dead mouse clogging our a/c condensation drain line plugging the drain causing the water sensor to shut our system down) diagnosed and resolved promptly. He even told me about the dead mouse in confidentiality without my wife's knowledge so as not to concern her. Nice job, Shane! Shane arrived on time, wore shoe booties to keep our home clean.
