Our old A/C stopped blowing cold air. I expected to have to replace it entirely so when Yuri told me that it was only the blower motor, an $800 cost, I was elated. When he was done I asked why it was only blowing tepid air on a 90, plus, degree day. He said that the compressor wasn't working correctly. I asked how much that would cost to fix. He said it couldn't be fixed because the unit was so old and that I should wait a couple days to see if it started working. Reluctantly, I paid him. Needless to say, it didn't work. I asked for my money back. He refused and wouldn't even do arbitration through Home Advisor. I used another company to replace the air conditioning because I feel like Yuri should have known that, with that unit being so old, it might not be able to be fixed and warned me. Had I known that, I would have just had him put in a new one. According to Home Advisor, he has been terminated from their service. Seems like a nice guy who just made a bad diagnosis. As a result, if he'd played ball, maybe split the difference with me, refunded even HALF my money, I'd have left a much better review. read more

I appreciate his availability. He gets back to you same day and doesn't let you dangle in the wind for several days. He has confidence in his assessment. I don't know yet if the repairs/solution he determined to be the best course of action will be successful or permanent as, in all fairness, it's probably too soon to tell, but so far so good, and I feel pretty comfortable in the notion that if this does not work, he'll not hesitate to come back. His pricing is more competitive than the big companies but his approach is forthright and his recommendation is pretty much the same as the competition who charge a whole lot more for the same service. It's tough finding reputable, trustworthy contractors in any field but if I have another HVAC issue, I will call Yuriy first. read more

I had an AWESOME experience with Temp. Select Air! Yurry was extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to truly inspect each component of our AC system. He even went so far as to wash and clean our unit out as it had dirt/weeds that had grown into it. He also walked through our entire home to ensure that each vent/register was open and functioning properly. My Samsung refrigerator had decided that it didn't want to make much ice, making a few cubes a day if that. Yelp contacted three possibilities. One was unavailable (on vacation), two responded as interested. I chose Yuriy because he had higher ratings. The following day, Yuriy gave me a heads-up that he could be here in 30 minutes. He arrived shortly thereafter and quickly diagnosed the problem. (Hey, it's a Samsung ice maker, they fail.) He left to get a new one, was back in 45 minutes, and installed the new ice maker. I sold his company on yelp with no reviews so I thought to call and give this company and try and see what they're all about the guy named Yuri answer the phone and told me that he can come in and do the free estimate. I did a lot or research for an AC Hvac person to come out and visit. The diagnostic was 89 bucks, a little higher than most places, but any work you get done the 89 is applied as credit towars your final bill, so doesn't matter anyway. Yuri, the technitian who came out helped a bunch, I had a short in my wiring and he rewired everything correctly and got me running without a price that made me balk. It was about $280 compared to he $600 repair costs for simple fixes I was seeing all across Yelp and other review sites. He was a cool guy too! Within a couple minutes, he had my fireplace apart and found the problem. Before fixing it, he tested the rest of the parts and found another broken part. That second broken part he found explained why it didn't work very well before the other part failed. He had both parts with him in his truck.
