Sales personnel not only showed us were the merchandise was but they continued to check on us. The GM did the alterations fitting and measured for a shirt. Then he personally walked us to the shirts and when he could not find the size on the shelves, he said he'd have one for us by the time the suit is ready. Now that's service! No more K&G. They've always had good quality clothing, customer service is what you make it, because they've flooded sometimes with customers, but my experience a sales person would knowledge you, and attend you expeditiously if they were with another customer. Service is horrible. They only speak to men entering the store. Wont acknowledge a woman unless they are with a man. Cashiers rude and so is the manager. I will never come back to this location. George is VERY RUDE and so is every bald head man in the store. The short bald headed man stay on his phone. Beverly only wants to gossip with people she hasn't seen in 20 years. I shopped here for my now husband and two younger boys wedding suits. I was happy to have a deal that allowed me to buy one get one half. Helped my pockets as I was buying the entire outfit 3 pieces shirts tie and shoes etc for both. Now the selection is not the widest. For my boys whom I went navy suits with that was fine and they altered it on site which I loved. For my husband at 6'3 200 or so lbs (not slim but not big either) it was not 100% to both our likings. We did manage to get him a jacket though and paired it with a tuxedo suit from elsewhere. Given this all happened literally week's before the wedding I give credit where it's due. D&K Suit City has a wide selection of clothing. This location on Memorial Drive is pretty big. We did n't have a salesman so we kinda looked around on our own. At the check out area they have lots of perfumes and colognes.While your waiting you can smell a whole sleuth of them. I wanted to pick up a few bottles because they were so inexpensive. Even though I didn't need any I will probably come back just to get some. While I was there I did notice they have a large women's section as well. I think some of the other locations don't have womens, perhaps on my next visit I will check out that section as well. I only stopped here because I happened to be in the area. I was there to buy a dress shirt for a suit. Sign on top of rack says 3 shirts for $45. In small print at bottom it stated, "Applies to Michael James shirts only". When I got to the register, the lady says they are not 3 for $45 because they had a $24.99 price tag on them. Manager stated the same thing but when I brought up the sign, he said that the sign was correct but not the ones that ring up over $19.99. It doesn't state that anywhere on the sign. I told him it was false advertisement and he needed to take them down or put correct info on them. Instead of honoring what the signs clearly stated 3 for $45, he caught an attitude and lost the sale of merchandise. No wonder the other location closed down. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Anyone who REALLY knows me knows i'm a fashion misfit, and can count on one hand the number of suits i've worn in 5 years, so when I had a big interview coming up, I decided to follow the huge sign with the $99 suit advertisement! D & K Suit City promises you a suit, a shirt and a tie, all for $99. I gotta be honest, I didn't see a ton of the $99 suits around and in fact you can pay upwards of $300 if you'd like. My suit, thanks to customer service, cost me about $160 with a shirt and tie, and I loved it. Suit City is the correct name, because there are just hangers and hangers of suits as far as the eye can see, as well as rows of ties, shirts, shoes, whatever you need. You can also simply buy a sport coat or slacks, if you don't need a full suit, and yes, you can get yourself pimped out in some of the brightest suit colors i've ever seen. Customer service was amazing, and I give all thanks to Robert, who went above and beyond, helping me select multiple coats, sizes and even suggested alterations for me. Excellent service. Located off of Memorial drive, very close to I-285 in a kinda abandoned strip, this area is pretty run down and it may turn a few people away, but that would be a mistake. There's a few exits onto Memorial drive and one red light exit as well If you want a decent suit for any occasion, D & K Suit City will definitely get you 'suited and booted'. read more

Despite the clearly commissioned sales people (all over you when you walk in and completely deflated if you don't purchase anything) the place is huge. A LOT of inventory. It's worth checking out the selection ignore the clownish oversized and brightly colored suits and you might just find a diamond completely overlooked by folks looking for the above items. Not too keen on the crazy loud music blaring into the empty parking lot, but it's not a huge deal. Check it out, be ready to laugh, you might just score a great deal. read more

What can I say I went there for a suit and shirt and I got a suit and a shirt I had a tailored at the store. I had the salesman Albert size me up for a shirt, he got it for me. so I picked up my suit a couple days later I dropped it and this shirt off at the cleaners but I didn't try it on. Came time for the event I was needing to go to I put them on and the tailor didn't do his job because my pants were falling down way too large and the shirt that Albert fitted me for was about four sizes too large. Quite frankly I felt like a buffoon. Some of the fault is mine I should have tried it on after I got it back. But it did put me in a bind, I had to go someplace and buy a shirt that serviced at the last second. I think you get what you pay for at D & K but check your stuff. Very disappointed read more

Jonathan Karam (whom I've never met face to face), David and the entire staff at D&K (Memorial Drive location) were incredible!!! A couple of weeks ago, i found out my son was invited to Homecoming. In August 2014, I lost my job. Not wanting my son to miss one of the most memorable occasions in his 12th grade year, I reached out to D&K with a request (email) to see if they had any donated suits for young men for occasions such as this. I explained that I'd be willing to volunteer my time, take photos (amateur photographer) of things they needed, etc if this were possible. Lets just say I sent that email at 10am by 10:09am, 9 minutes later, I received a reply from Jonathan Karam, one of the owners, stating that not only could he help me with the suit, a brand new one at that, but that he also wanted to donate a pair of brand new shoes, a new shirt and bow tie / tie. He NEVER once asked me to volunteer, take photos ... nothing. He merely wanted to give back. He blessed my son from head to toe and we are forever grateful for his generosity, love and commitment. I'm trying to see if I can upload a photo of my son from Homecoming last night here as he was the sharpest dressed young man for Homecoming 2014 ... and all due to an email and the willingness of a "stranger"! I called to the store and as we were trying to place order on line. I got Sharaf..and struck gold! He worked, by phone, for the next week to get me exactly what we needed. This is a great small chain of stores with excellent help very good management. I do not kwow who the buyers are, but they are right on top of every fashion trend from "slim" suits to fashion casual. The prices are extemely competitive. You can always find something for less on any given day, but day in and day out, they will save you allot of money. Do not go to DK Suit City on Memorial Drive, the Taylor stole my husband pants! He took 3 pair to get hemed, and the pants were from another store, he needed a taylor so he went to DK....got a receipt for 3 pair, went back in a few days to pick them up and the man/taylor he gave them too said he only had two pair, my husband Said NOI brought in 3 pair I have my receipt right here! And the Taylor said well I don't have 3 pair just two, my husband was hot! There is a camera in the Taylor room and my husband told them to view the camera to see that he brought in 3 pairs of pants. Management said they would but never called my husband back. So be ware, they will steal your clothes if they like them. Will never shop there again!!! Poor customer service and thieves!!! read more

I call this place "Pimpin since big pimpin since big pumpin". If you are getting dressed for a pimp convention or just trying to be swagged out for church, then this is where you come. When you first enter, you walk past the owner who sits in a chair by the door day in and day out. The place is pretty big and is known for their $99 suits. Let me tell ya..... They're cheap! The more expensive suits are still pretty affordable, but understand that you'll pay more for the better quality suits. On avg, I'd say that you can get a nice suit for $150. The customer service is low, but they know their merchandise. They have a wide selection of ties, hats, and socks and always have sales on suits. They even have nice linen suits in the summer. Men, if you ever need an all white attire, this is the place! The women's department is small, but they have some cute suits and heels. I would only shop here for a man though. They also have an onsite tailor. K&G Superstore is their competitor and although the prices are higher there, I would check their first for dress clothes and women's attire. read more

Just went into D and K Suit City about 2 hours ago to buy my partner a replacement tie for one he had recently purchased there. The saleslady greeted me just after I entered the door. I showed her the tie I wanted to replace. It had been partially chewed by our new puppy. She said she didn't think they had the tie and she began to help me look through literally thousands of ties. After only about two minutes she gave up and said she wouldn't be able to find it if they had it. I suggested that we could find a tie of similar color and quality, but she walked away to chat with another saleslady leaving me to look for myself. After about 30 minutes I found a similar tie and went to the checkout. Both cashiers and the previous saleslady were engaged in a privates chat with another gentleman. After about half a minute of being ignored I realized that they were not concerned with me paying for the tie so I put the tie down on the counter and left the store. Why would they ignore me in such a manner? I do not know, but I will mention that D and K Suit City caters almost exclusively to African American men and all sales/ cashier people involved today were African American.
