I didn't have an appointment but Gregory patiently helped me try on multiple suits including measuring and pinning them for potential tailoring. When I settled on a suit I liked, I asked if it would be possible to have it tailored and shipped to me by that Saturday, just 5 days away so that I could wear it to a special occasion. Greg came through getting a rush in the tailoring and personally shipped it overnight. He did a great job on the measurements and it fit perfectly! This is my third suit supply suit and they are all great quality. Great service - I'll be back to see Greg again the next time I'm in town.

I visited the store in hopes of finding a pair of odd trousers to match a blazer I have…read more 15 minutes into my arrival, I wasn't helped from an associate until I looked around and pretended as if I was lost. When I was finally helped, I told the associate I wanted to try on the trousers that I selected in the changing room. After trying on the pants, they were far too small and I noticed there were three different sizes on the pant labeling. Again, I had to pretend like I was lost to get help about the issue from a separate sales person. To his credit, my sales associate remedied the issue by presenting me with another pair of trousers...with the exact same issue. It was at that moment that I realized all the clothes were missized and mislabeled. Again, I pretended to be lost inside the fitting room as other associates helped their guests, and I was finally helped by my assigned sales associate after an additional 10 minutes had passed by (he even admitted he forgot that I was even in the store)... To top it off, the "in-house tailors" said that they could not even add a hem to the trousers I selected within their store. I've purchased several suits from this SuitSupply location. Sadly, it sounds like I won't be returning.

The process was simple, went to their website, scheduled an appointment, and headed on my way to the west side. Now here is the fun tricky part of things. Their showroom is located in the same complex as Cooks and Soldiers but the door to their showroom is located at the top of the parking lot and their is no sign. Now this might throw some people off, but for me, I thought it added to the low-profile sort of under the radar that I love about this brand. Once inside, Mike from CMMP showed me around their loft space, poured me a drink of scotch and we checked out some of their suiting options, shirts, and different fabrics. After about an hour of messing around with different options, we took a ton of measurements which, I liked because I have had a few made-to-measure shirts where they only took like 8-10 measurements and the shirts came out like shit. Fast forward a few weeks, came back for my fitting, super happy and shirts fit great. Next up, going to get a winter jacket for fall.

The story goes: Guy meets girl. Girl throws away guy's old shirt. Guy loved old shirt because it was soft. Guy wonders, why can't all shirts be this soft from the start? I walked into the first Marine Layer store when I was out in Seattle. I was surprised to find this store here at Ponce City Market. Naturally I walked in and looked at the designs. To be quite honest, the prices here are steep but the design, fit and comfort are second to none. I can't get all my clothes here (because I'll be REAL poor) but I do occasionally get one or two items that I then treasure. Although most of the clothing they sell are manufactured in SF or LA, some of the products come from overseas. I also found out here if you donate some of your old clothes, you can get coupons to be used in the store. In fact, there is now a small section of clothing made from old clothes! pretty neat.... Although walking into the store is nice to be able to browse and try on clothes, now that I know what size fits me, I can do all my ordering online. Again, this is expensive but the clothing designs are top notch. Very much a west coast vibe going on here. If you haven't been yet, I suggest giving them a try. A step up from Brooks Brothers 1818 and Suit Supply, yet incomparable to more respected brands like Brioni, Kiton and Brunello Cucinelli. While I did not come to this store for a suit, I have a Canali belt whose buckle came apart just months into wearing it. The leather is also stripping away in areas. Coming into the store asking what should be done with the buckle, the store simply sent me away since the belt was purchased from Saks Fifth Avenue instead of their store. While the experience could have been better if I got it at their store, a brand of this caliber should take responsibility for the product regardless where it's purchased as long as it's authentic and there is a receipt showing a reputable retailer. That is a standard procedure in the would have luxury brands. Thus, both the quality of the $300 belt and the level of disregard by the store staff was enough to turn me away from purchasing a Canali suit or returning to this store in the future.

I visit Patel Brothers often and had never been to this location before. Despite my response, she asked me three separate times what I was doing in the store, and I gave her the same answer each time. I noticed that no other customers were being treated this way. Later, when I returned to the people I was with, the same woman brought another employee over to question me again. I ultimately left the store to avoid being repeatedly questioned. Their behavior felt disrespectful, targeted, and microaggressive, and it made me very uncomfortable. As a woman of color, I'd prefer you'd not go.
