But we overlooked these issues because he seemed to be competent and was a nice guy. But we have really regretted hiring him pretty much every day since. He put the wrong shower door in for the space, and then blamed us for not choosing a more expensive model (we chose the most expensive of the three he offered). It wobbles so much when opening or closing it, anyone would think it's broken. He tried to suggest that it just needs to "settle in." Right. That chestnut. When we confronted him about it not fitting the space (it hits the toilet, so only opens part way), he said, "I can't think of every little issue." How about any issue at all? And it's not a little issue. This is the kind of expertise you look for--that he clearly didn't have. When we told him we were going to have to have it redone, he offered no solutions to resolve the issue. All in all, a miserable experience. And that niceness sure didn't last.

I looked up online and saw his appliance repair. Left a message to call me back.... I didn't a chance when Armando called me said he missed my call. Told him my issue .... He said I know your washer... I may have a pump in my van... send a picture of model number to make sure I'll bring it out tomorrow send me directions to your ranch. The next day he came out looked at the washer and said it's the pump. He was meticulous in taking the washer apart. Front seal of the door, top the top off ... then panel in front of the washer. Asked for a small pot to catch water from the pump. Then removed the old pump and installed the new one and put the washer back togeather . Turn it on and made it pumped water out. Armando was professional, prompt, he ssid i order the correct pump... There are pumps that are cheaper and they dont last for a few year then they brake down. He said he does the best repair , and if you have any other appliance that need repair... keep my phone number. I recommend him to anyone that needs to have any appliance repair. He said he has the same model and it's the best washer you could have. I was beginning to think that there were no appliance repair companies any longer. Nick arrived to provide an estimate for a repaint of a number of interior walls and trim, and to address a peeling paint problem on a bathroom ceiling painted by a different company, a few years ago. It wasn't resisting the high moisture environment created by the shower with marginal venting. Initially, what sold me on Nick, and Gibson & Son Painting, was Nick's manners and respect for my home. Before setting foot inside the front door, he removed his shoes. I hadn't said a word about it, and the floors that can be seen from where he stood are rustic slate (not carpeting). I had a couple of other painting contractors provide estimates previously. But none had demonstrated anything close to that kind of courtesy. A small thing, perhaps. But as it turned out, just a sample of good things to come, and of how he and his crew operate. Speaking of which, all members are exceptional in their own right. Also, Nick's attention to the details of the job, as we went over the scope of work, and his extensive knowledge of how to address potential problems, impressed me. He closely examined surfaces and their existing paint to determine the appropriate approach to achieve the best results. Again, something that separated him from the other painting contractors bidding on the job. Nick's estimate was provided to me promptly, and was described in great detail. Of the three bids I received, his was not the least expensive. However, the confidence that Nick instilled in me through his diligence in defining the job, as well as his respectful, personable manner, made the choice easy. The work was done with a great attitude. Great team. Nice people! The communication to coordinate the work and the general process was excellent. The job is finished, now, and I'm a very satisfied customer. Nick will be the first person I call next time.
