Michael D 3792 was very Diligent in his protocol and procedure when I was picking up the fire arm. One thing if picking up a rifle that has a large capacity, make sure you bring a mag block that makes the capacity of the fire arm 10 rounds. I suggest checking out https://www.magazineblocks.com/magento/. Having the mag block prior to picking up the rifle helps the sale and transaction go better. This helps the sales clerk and the store. Also, when picking up a fire arm make sure you bring a case to put the fire arm in. Anyway, this store has a great selection of Ammunition. Be advised on the Weekends this store can be very busy, if you can, check out the store more on the week days mid afternoon hours usually are not too busy. great store lots of things to see. read more

Before the election I started to get very concerned, witnessing all the chaos happening in many cities. Since my sister had already purchased two guns here, I tagged along to see what the store was like. Due to Covid guidelines, you need to wait in line outside. When someone walks out you walk in. Approximate wait time was 15 minutes. The store is well stocked with anything you can imagine. The staff is wonderful and can answer any questions you have. I put a deposit down for a nice compact 380 . I then needed to wait for my BCI to clear in order to pick it up, which took a week. Long story short, I had more pressing bills to take care of so when I returned I spoke to Jonathan, the owner, and let him know I needed to hold off on my purchase. He was very understanding and refunded my deposit. I'm 100% behind 2nd Amendment rights. I'm sad I had to cancel my order. I've had a couple bad experiences here. My first was when I wanted to purchase my glock 19 I studied up and had the knowledge to know that a new glock 19 gen 4 comes with A case 3 magazines a speed loader a small cleaning kit and a lock! When I went down to D&L from what I believe the price was 525 but came with only the gun. This meant I had to buy a case to leave the store seeing as they are in a school zone! This I did not like! My second was when I needed a mil-spec buffet tube for my AR15. I called ahead to be sure they had it, the gentleman on the phone was very nice and stated they did have one he will put it aside. I drove down maybe 20mins walked threw the door, maybe 4 people total in the store I processed to wait for another 20mins to be helped! When I was finally help they guy walked from the back asked what I was there for when I said a mil spec buffer tub he looked on the wall, moved one over and stated "nah got none" I was so aggravated I didn't ask for someone els, I left the store and purchased one online! I also had a friend of mine buy a Taurus pistol from them and they also gave him a hard time about the case and magazines, the gentleman gave in and offered two magazines! GUNBROKER BUYER BEWARE. 1 star is too high of a rating. It has been over a month and I have been given the run around over and over. When I reached out the first time they told me they had been waiting on the FFL to send paper work. He had sent it twice. When he called them he was told it had been shipped. Each time I have actually gotten through to talk to someone I have been spoken to like I'm an idiot. Most of the time when I call its a busy signal or that the voicemail is full. I am trying to cancel my order and I cannot get through to them. My FFL is now being told they over sold the gun. I have purchased from them in the past and it has always been very positive. I recently purchased a $3000 pistol. When I received it ,it was damaged. I called CZ who makes the pistol I gave them all the information and serial number, and they told me that they believe I was sold a used gun. I called and spoke to Mike the manager at D and L he told me that it was absolutely a new gun. He also told me that he would replace the part on the gun that was damaged. He informed me that he would contact the rep from CZ and get me the part that I needed. This was a week ago . I have reached out to him numerous times I called him. I emailed him. I left messages at the store for him and he does not want to return my call for whatever reason this was my experience. I would love to resolve this issue . For me to spend $3000 on a supposedly new gun and have it damaged is very disheartening. I would really like for somebody to contact me to resolve the issue. read more

This review is from a Gun Broker transaction with this merchant. I have bought quite a few firearms from merchants on Gun Broker, but this has been by far my worst experience. I bought a H&K SP5 on 12/3. The listing description said they were ready to ship. Per the listing description.... "JUST IN 12-2-2019....READY TO SHIP." It turns out this was a lie. I called them two days later and they told me it was going downstairs to shipping tomorrow (12/5). Fast forward to 12/9, I called again and I am told they have not arrived yet due to weather and "were somewhere in New Jersey." Multiple emails were also unanswered. They finally shipped and everything was good with the package / firearm. Although I finally received this firearm and am now in possession, D&L Shooting Supplies marked me as a non payer in Gunbroker with the following comments: "AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS AND EMAILS FOR OVER A WEEK WE HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING IN RESPONSE FROM THE CUSTOMER REGARDING PAYMENT AND WOULD LIKE OUR ACCOUNT CREDITED." Tried to buy a revolver from D&L and was told to use Gun Broker.com Bottom line was, Gun Broker.com is fouled-up and I could not reach anyone there to help me get registered. I called D&L and explained that I'm trying to give them my business but Gun Broker.com is not working for me. Also they don't tell you they will treat you like dirt if you finally get through after calling over and over and over almost everyday because the person that finally answered the phone doesn't work in shipping so call back later then hangs up! D and L has a knowledgeable staff, great prices, and good selection. I have purchased quite a bit of reloading supplies from them, to which they always have powder and primers. They have your most common caliber and bullet weights in the selection of projectiles. The staff is awesome! They can even explain and educate you on many gun laws for the region to ensure you don't get hemmed up and are always in compliance. I have had only amazing experiences with D and L. I do not work for them nor do they "pay me off" to write this. Even though they are such a busy store their staff is always attentive and welcoming. They answer any and all questions I have and take their time with me and don't make me feel rushed. Sure, will they help someone out while you're debating or taking your time with a firearm? Sure. But I honestly prefer that than having someone standing there waiting and watching my every move. Mike, the owners son is the go-to for prices and he is honestly the busiest person I've ever met yet he has never shown frustration or annoyance. He is almost always willing to negotiate on the list price as long as you are respectful too. Don't go in trying to buy a 500$ glock and say something along the lines of "well since you have a lot of them how about you sell me one for 200$" Again, I have nothing but respect for D and L and I have referred many people to them and never heard a complaint. The reviews seem all over the place. For me, this is a pretty straight forward place. I haven't experienced rude service, but it can take a while for them to get to you at times because the place can be a zoo. One thing I learned is that you can't be a wall flower. If you sit back and hope to be called on, you'll be waiting a while. Usually you can figure out the line so stay in the rotation and you will get called on as you work your way to the front. The prices are very competitive especially when there's a sale. Keep your eye out and you can get some really good deals. read more

But my most recent trip to the store overshadows any negative incidents I've ever had. I took a family member into the store who is looking to purchase a gun as a gift,Not knowing how that would work with transfers/purchasing for someone else/legality paperwork etc. I called and spoke to Mike over the phone told him we were coming in. Later he met us when we got there and he made it the most positive enjoyable's experience that I've ever had in that store. D&L is basically the Walmart of the local gun world. You hate going there because the staff sucks, the atmosphere is chaotic, and it's always filled to the brim with wackos but the bottom line is their selection is the best and their prices are (usually) fair. Literally everyone behind the counter is a varying degree of douche with the one exception being George. Ask for him and expect to wait a good fifteen minutes because you won't be the only one who only wants to deal with him. He's D&L's only saving grace. I ordered two firearms online and had them shipped to D&L. I went into the store to fill out my background check paperwork. (Waited in a long line outside) Called after a week to see if my paperwork had cleared in order to pick up the weapons. I was told they couldnt tell me over the phone which Ive never heard of before. So I go down to the shop, wait in line 35 mins in the cold only to get inside and be told my paperwork hadnt come back yet. The first salesman told me 8 days, the second told me 14 days. On top of all the BS, they charge double the transfer fee per weapon. Big box store of gun shops. Save your money and support small shops. read more

I'm a fan, no doubt! I went in on a Saturday and it was definitely busy. But that's TBE when you've got a WAY bigger selection than most of the shops in the area. That's the bad news. The GOOD news is that there was a good half dozen employees working HARD behind the counter dealing with buyers and tire-kickers alike. I didn't see or experience any attitude; just solid sales guys walking through what people wanted. I wanted an AR, and I wasn't sure exactly which one. I had been checking out Stag Arms at another shop, but their selection was pretty limited, as were a few of the other shops I'd visited...so I wasn't sure if I really like the Stag as much as I had thought or if I was just accepting it as the best of a limited selection. Because of that it was great to see so many options at D&L. When Paul and I connected, he took the time to walk me through all of my options without trying to get my over my budget. He went from low end to the high end of my price range even thought I'd told him I wasn't going to pull the trigger (no pun intended) that day and when it was all said and done...I was filling out paperwork for my new Sig. I order an in stock weapon on 3/10/2020. It is now 4/1/2020. Credit card has been charged and no shipping data whatsoever has been provided. Multiple phone calls have resulted in no resolution. Local police has been advised. If they would simply communicate honestly and in a timely manner, they may be able to keep me as a customer.
