These errors resulted in high electrical bills because our water pipes froze ...due to the mini splits failure, shutting down in the sub zero temps. All promises were lies from their sales team. It was hard to get them to come in with the warranty to fix problems. The system shut down in the cold multiple times last winter. They wanted to blame all of this on cleaning issues, however the units (we have 5) were all actively leaking coolant. We eventually had to call another company to help us... The other company was surprised by the shotty work done by A&W, and that they would have sold us the mini splits we still have and will need to add heaters to in order to get by again this winter. Please do yourself a favor and find another group... This was stressful, freezing, and a huge money pit trying to figure this whole mess out.

BUYER BEWARE. I would not use AW Heating & Cooling again…read more I paid nearly $20,000 for a Breeze33 mini-split system installed by AW as the primary heating system for my northwest Ohio home. It has struggled to maintain adequate heat during very cold weather, forcing us to use space heaters and heated blankets while my winter electric bill reached approximately $1,000 per month. Based on its actual performance, I do not believe this was an appropriate primary heating solution for our climate. I also experienced repeated heating failures and refrigerant problems. At one point, my family had to stay in a hotel for nearly a week because we did not have adequate heat while waiting for service. To be fair, AW was initially responsive and repaired at least one flare fitting under warranty. Over time, however, communication became less cooperative, interactions became rude, and service delays became much longer. During another heating failure, AW was taking so long to respond that I contacted Airstream Heating & Cooling simply to restore heat. AW later inspected the system but did not identify the refrigerant-loss problem. The following winter, VonDeylen evaluated the system and found a bad flare fitting and no refrigerant. I also have photos showing the system displaying a PC02 Breeze33 protection/error code. I ultimately paid $873.63 out of pocket for corrective repairs and requested reimbursement from AW. They refused. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section, and AW declined to resolve the matter through the AG's voluntary dispute-resolution process. After spending nearly $20,000, I expected reliable heat, competent installation, and reasonable support. Instead, I experienced repeated failures, additional repair costs, poor winter performance, and extremely high electric bills. If you are considering AW for a major HVAC installation, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and getting all equipment, sizing, and installation details in writing. I wish I had done that before spending nearly $20,000 with this company.

This was a non-reparable situation where the furnace was at end of life and would have posed a carbon monoxide risk if it were to continue to run... it's replacement was mandatory. I called several places. Blissfield Heating and Plumbing responded the fastest, provided heaters electric heaters to keep the residents warm until the repair could have been made. It went down to 6° that night! The very next morning they were there with a new furnace and it was installed in a matter of hours. I am very pleased with how this was handled in every aspect from beginning to end. And I'm the kind of guy that has zero tolerance for incompetence, but I didn't find any here. Nice Job BHP.

The gas valve on my older boiler had failed such that the pilot would not stay lit. Being somewhat handy, I had replaced the thermocouple, which did not fix it, and was toying with the idea of doing the valve replacement myself---until I called around and found that no one seemed to have them. I called a few places and was told that they'd have to "order the part" or they could "come in a few days or a week." Not the greatest thing when you're expecting the temp to drop 30 degrees. Voegeli was prompt to show up and the tech (who I think was one of the owners) had the needed part on his truck. The repair was pretty quick and I felt the price was very reasonable. And he didn't give me any BS or try to sell me anything that wasn't required to fix the problem, or a new heating system, though my 25+ yo system is probably almost due. I will also mention that there are apparently only a small fraction of the many HVAC contractors out there that work on boilers, but the tech seemed pretty knowledgeable. Had 90 feet of back up with a sewar line that had not been cleaned with a severe amount of roots. Two young guys that probably didn't know how to run the equipment properly. Cost me $500 to have Rooter Man not do it correctly then another $850 to have it done properly 3 months later. Awesome.
