You might find anything from an old VHS tape to a rocking chair. In the main gift shop I found Amish made peanut butter, jellies, and other knick knacks. So, before I used my credit card anywhere, I shopped or bought food (even at restaurants) I asked if I would be charged a service fee. I remember the items I bought at this store and I asked the two ladies if I would be charged. One was wrapping items and the other rang my purchases. I wasn't happy I was told no service fee. Then returned home to do my bills from the trip and saw I was charged 3.4% extra just for using my card. I would have gladly given cash. I feel employees and the owner should be honest about charging this credit card service fee. For this reason, I had to rate this store lower. It's also easy enough to just post a sign at your register saying customers who use credit will be charged a service fee of 3.4%.

I love unique (non-touristy) places when I visit the area and so does my friend. I found this…read moreplace and stopped in at 11 am (before my friend arrived) and it was not open. Disappointed, I called them. Later when I was meeting my friend somewhere I received a text from the owner explaining the situation and that she was open now and hoped I would stop in. Talk about great customer service so, of course, we went back together. Shop is full of local craftsman items which was right up our alley. I bought a beautiful and very unique pottery mug and my friend purchased a homemade card. Reasonable prices and we both love our purchases. There were many types of items... too many to list so just trust me and check this store out. I paid with a credit card and noticed much later that there is a charge for a non cash purchase.. not much (probably a percentage of your purchase) but had I known I would have paid cash... kudos to the business for promoting cash transactions in essence (of course, it saves them money I am sure). We need to continue using cash in this country, though, in my opinion. At any rate, on my next visit to town I will definitely stop into this general store and I wish the owner the best with the business. The owner is very friendly, also.

It was still early 1115 and we kind of wanted breakfast so we saw this advertisement for these breakfast sandwiches on homemade bagels and we thought we'd give it a try ...well I'm not sure what happened to the sandwiches, but we We couldn't eat them. They apparently were microwaved so long to get the bacon hot inside that the bagel was rock hard. The bacon fatty and raw not crunchy or well done. It was disgusting. Her egg look like they attempted to do a dippy and got it hard. Mine was scrambled, but so rubbery from the fact, they microwaved it so long however. Now the good...did have unsweetened tea with some peach flavoring and that was delicious. My friend had sweet tea and she agreed it was sweet. It hurt her teeth but that's what she ordered. We walked out hungry. The lady at the front was super sweet. I did buy a very expensive dog toy that was probably worth three dollars. I paid 12 for it just because I knew my little dog would like it. She told us to come back and she'd do better, but I don't think it's worth our time to come back. This is not what I saw when I walked in one day. I saw a beautiful soup and sandwich being served this was served on a white plate no garnish just the bagel which would've been fine. If it would've been edible we had to go to another restaurant to have a lunch and that is horrible. The shop was neat and unique. I bought a expensive dog toy that they're gonna shred but it was really cute. I know I paid three times the money for it but that's what the shops are like and that's how she makes your money and I fell in love with it, and the jams and jellies and sauces. All looked very yummy. They were here. She didn't have any big goods that was in the middle of the week on a Wednesday with the stores worth checking out I'm not keen on the food cause it wasn't edible and we paid for an edible food which was really sad.
