For a relaxing time, go out Wears Valley Rd to Harper Brothers Mountain. Located just past Elvira's Cafe. Not only a great general store to walk through, but The Hawk skylift is a MUST visit! The store has a wide variety of apparel and other local items as well as home made chocolates and candies and a coffee bar. Also check out their nice collection of knives. After you check out their General Store, go around back and take the chair lift up the mountain for some awesome relaxing views! Plenty of rocking chairs and a free bottle of water and a Moon Pie when you reach the top! And the views are simply breathtaking. Get a buy one - get one half off coupon for the chair lift at the general store! This is a hidden secret in the Wears Valley area. Don't miss it!

This is a must stop in place! If you want to see an old school store this is it. Prices for items,…read morefood, etc are very very good. For example 2 heaping scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone was $4.99! 2 bottled waters were $2.14, when is the last time you got waters for that amount in a gas station or roadside store. Also picked up an iron patch since I collect them, it was only $3.99. We tried the blackberry cobbler, and black cherry flavored ice cream. Both were delicious. It was also hopping from people in the know about this ice cream spot. The staff was also very friendly. This was our first time ever visiting the smokies. So we asked what we should see with our short time in the area. She recommended a few of the trails and falls, but she mainly said we should she cades cove. We took her advise and she was right. It was beautiful and worth the drive. Definitely don't pass this place stop in and have an ice cream. FYI, another thing we didn't know is that our cell phones did not work out in the smokies, so Google maps was out. Luckily we talked to her and she got us on the right track and we were able to find it. We really appreciated it.

They had a variety of unique jams and spreads and different kinds of peanuts and candies to try. I tasted a delicious sweet potato jam - I never would have bought it had I not tried it and experienced how different and good it was! They also had fresh fudge for sale and also for sample. The service was great too, and well, I'll just say "unusual" - you'll just have to go by to see what I mean :) Overall, I would definitely recommend you stop in if you are in the area. We hit up some other shops along the way, but this one was our favorite :)

Great general sore to find trinkets for your house or kitchen! I loved the spice room and all the…read morepre made mixes. Ended up buying a "MaMa" hat and a sticker. This seems like the kind of store that every time you visit you may find a totally different section. The quilt room was pretty impressive as well. At the counter the ladies were extremely friendly and loved on our little baby. The were selling fudge and what looked like hot roasted nuts.

This shop is a tad cluttered and overwhelming but if you have the time and patience to weave through the tight spaces, you will absolutely find something fun and fabulous. There seemed to be sections of body/beauty, hats and clothing, a flag and decor area, an area with canned/bottled goodies and dip mixes, nostalgic candy, a counter with fudges, hand pies, ice cream, and candied nuts, a section with books and toys and many (MANY!) gift ideas and Smoky Mountain souvenirs. We also loved that the local Dancing Bean Coffee sells beans in bulk here. We have been using the Turtle flavor daily the last few days and love how smooth and subtle the flavor is, not overpoweringly sweet like many flavored coffees. The service was amazing-patient, prompt, and friendly. The candied pecans are the best I've ever had. They have been wonderful on salads and on a charcuterie board since I brought them home. The pricing wasn't extremely high either! For the fudge, ice cream, book, coffee, candy, popcorn seasoning, and nuts we purchased, I think we spend around $30. Not too shabby!
