The Thanksgiving Toasted is arguably their best sandwich. Too bad that they don't have more locations in New Haven County. Ric was the manager today & was super friendly taking my order. Staff had my sandwich ready in just a few mins. Always love coming back to a D'angelos. The restroom unfortunately was a little bit of an unkempt disaster & could have been cleaned better. The No. 9 steak sandwich is very good here. It's comes on a soft, warm roll and lots and lots of steak with grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, peppers, and American cheese. It's $6.99 for a regular. Both of us ate the No. 9 and it was piping hot and delicious with every bite! I'd definitely recommend this sandwich. I was in the area and decided to stop in at 9pm on a Wednesday. I'll be honest reading recent reviews I was concerned, but those were quickly put to bed. Overall this establishment was very clean, service was excellent and both orders we got were exactly as they should have been. We took ours to go and had about a 30 min drive and got stuck I traffic, but once we got to eat our sandwiches they were still warm and delicious. I would come here again. read more

From the time I walked in, I started to stick too the floor. This has the potential too be a nice restaurant, if cleaned and couple other things. Went too the ladies room and the toilet flushes on its own, every 20 seconds. That's a waste of water. I got the lobster roll. The roll was half empty and burnt on one side. First time trying D'Angelo's. I ordered the large steak bomb. It comes with grilled steak, salami, capicola, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. Large is $9, but it's a decent size. After turning down annoying up selling by the cashier/manager of double the meat and chips I was glad I did because it was just the right amount of food. Sometimes they will bring it to your table if you eat in, and sometimes they call your name and you go up and get your food. They should be more consistent with that. It was a bad ass sandwich. Came out piping hot and I devoured the whole thing. It filled me up and I'm basically an amateur competitive eater. Place looked clean and the service was friendly. With each order I've placed something is missing. Don't eat here if you expect to get what you ordered. I went there and received the wrong order for take out. Luckily I caught it before leaving the parking lot as the sandwich was not wrapped properly and I could see that it was not what I ordered. After getting the right order I went home only to find out they put the wrong items (I'm allergic) on it making it so I couldn't eat it. I complained online and was told by the area manager that a credit would be placed in the system for me. I went back and was told there was no credit after ordering. When I got home I found out they gave me the wrong order again. I was the only customer in the store at the time. I've had much better luck at other locations but this one is terrible. I was told that they are "Building Guest counts by providing memories to guests one at a time ".
