This spot has been around for a while and is the cutest thing! The market has everything you need for your food shopping. In the back of the store, they make sandwiches that are a good price and great quality! The people working are very kind and like to help you with your shopping. I do love the meats from the deli and a ton of people grab their sandwich meat here for the week. The store is fun to walk around in, it has an old feel to it that is refreshing. read more

A small, family owned grocery store. They cater to the local community with a great butcher shop. They also make great "grinders" (Heros, Hoggies, Subs, Wedges or what ever you call them) that are sliced fresh with meat piled high! Better then the chain sandwich shops. We're do I begin? Caronna's is an awesome place and we do all our shopping for meats, deli items, etc. there. Definitely "old school" butchers here! Their prices are reasonable for the quality of meats and deli case products they sell. It's been around since 1918 I believe and I'm glad it's still going strong. Anthony the owner, Fran, Brian and Matt do an awesome job and they're always cheerful and happy to help you out. Their customer service is superb! Sorry, but you definitely won't be treated and greeted as nice as you are at Caronna's at any of the other "chain" grocery stores in town. That's a fact! We were in the mood to barbecue some ribs for Sunday dinner, and we stopped at Arnold's Meats in East Longmeadow. Their parking lot sign was advertising ribs for $2.75 a pound. But to my astonishment, they close at 4:00 on Saturdays and that was that. So we consulted the Yelp app, punched in "Meat" and that led us to Caronna's Market in Enfield. Not the shopping mall part of Enfield, but downtown Enfield. We found a very nice economy-sized supermarket. Nice variety. Nice folks. We also found ribs for $2.99 a pound - just a teense more than Arnold's. So all in all, we were very happy with both Caronna's and the Yelp app. The ribs are in the fridge now, soaking up their paprika-onion salt-chili pepper rub bath! read more

I love the thought of Caronna's Market. A small, independently owned grocery store that has been around forever. It's a real throwback. I originally stopped here after hearing that they make their own Italian sausage. You have the choice of sweet or hot. I went with the hot, and it's delicious. They even have a real meat guy there to get it for you. As for the rest of the store, it's your basic, small grocery store. You can get what you need. Parking can be a little sketchy. Caronna's looks like it was built with the idea of people walking there to do their shopping. There is room for a few cars along the curb. There is also a lot across the street, but the signs say 15 minute limit. Inside the store, everything is in need of an update. What's there is clean, but some things are in need of repair. Caronna's is worth a stop. Come check out their in-store made Italian sausage. read more

Over the years, some things never change and some do. Caronna's has not and that bodes well for their loyal patrons. The family environment and sincere warmth and caring has no equal. Their meat department and deli is FANTASTIC in quality, selection, and value. Sam and Anthony are awesome....skilled, savvy, and focused on helping. The produce, groceries, and frozen foods are not their mainstay, but fulfill all needs. The snack aisle is great in selection and prices. The cooked foods are excellent. I go to Caronna's all the time . There deli has some really good homemade food. The sweet and hot sausages are the best you will find anywhere . The meatballs are amazing, taste like they were made in Italy. Friendly people great customer service. If you ask the butcher for a particular cut of meat he will Hook you up with the best roast you ever had with cooking instructions .For a small store it must be hard for them to compete with the prices of the big supermarkets so some prices are a bit hi, but some things I find are actually cheaper. read more

The epitomy of the way the United States was built - corner superstores. This is a nice, set back, clean little grocery store that has just about everything you need. Of course some groceries will be a little more expensive that your big Y's - but that's to be expected. They have $1 sandwiches (a few slices of meat and cheese with lettuce and tomato) which is awesome for a quick lunch or snack. The butcher has a lot of fresh home made sides, I've tried most of them and always liked them. The meats are at a great price, butchers helpful and friendly. Try to make it there first thing in the morning to deal with Mr. Caronna - he's a class act. If I could do all my food shopping here I would because it's great to support a local business that's been here for 100 years - makes you sort of take a step back in time. The package store next door (run by Mary Caronna) has a good selection and she usually has really good promotional deals. Try it out! Great people, service and good selection. Groceries are over priced and butcher is not very helpful I wanted ny strip he tried to tell me sirloin is the exact same thing.

I buy my meat here all the time. My mother-in-law told me about this place 36 years ago. Never had anything but a great experience here. Yes, the store has seen better days but it's clean and have very helpful people working there. When you ask for roast beef and Sam Caronna holds up a slice of it and says "and they say women are beautiful" (LOL) you know you've come to a place where they are proud of what they sell. read more

Also, if you want a great "grinder", they have bargain premade sandwichs, but it's worth the few extra minutes to wait for a "made to order" sandwich. This place is awesome - friendly - courteous - many times they have helpled me with my groceris to my car parked in the lot across the street.- that is one customer service item you will never find at the big box stores - yes, prices are a bit higher and if your looking for fancy pants stuff - you won't find it here - this is a down to earth neighborhood grocery store.... you can do all your shopping in/out no long lines - no waiting...plus the store is smaller than any major grocery store so you are not distracted by a lot of other things you really don't need...bottom line - although the prices may be higher (understandable) you will spend less money overall on your weekly groceries..... and can't say enough about the meats and those guys in the butcher shop..the meats are incredible and the price cannot be beat... try one of their many meat bundles... what a value....!!! and those buther guys are very friendly and will do whatever they can to make sure you are getting what you want... their homemade italian sausage....out of this world.... the rib eys steaks... wonderful... the grinders for a quick lunch ... $1.00...
