    Meatball side

The staff was so amazing and friendly!! And the patio was comfortable and beautiful views!! And for that we will come back and try other foods. The place was well packed and we noticed everyone ordering sandwiches and fries.... Hmmm maybe we should have done that... maybe next time. Today we started with dry run cajun wings, the wings were of decent quality and cooked well however there was no flavor - the dry rub did not stay on the wings, we asked for a side of the garlic parm and we got a bowl of butter with garlic paste at the bottom (not something you want to dip your wings in). The meatballs were definitely homemade, great texture but again no flavor. Much better when added salt and pepper. The sauce was very acidic. Lastly the pasta. Chicken was over cooked and the Alfredo sauce was broken, resulting in very oily sauce. So overall staff and locations were amazing - food not so much - but maybe we ordered the wrong stuff. Will go back and try sandwiches and fried. With all that said we will return and order sandwiches.

Turkey wrap and roast beef sandwich.

The food and atmosphere was great. My wife had the roast beef sandwich and I had the turkey wrap. The fries were great and the pickle was just how I like them. We had enough to take back home for another meal! We just found another new place to eat. We'll be back.

Overcooked clam strips,.bland Cole slaw, and run of the mill fries.

The frozen vlam strips were overcooked because they left them in the frier to achieve the color. Unfortunately, leaving them in the frier also cooks the clams I side the breading too. I almost broke a tooth. I didn't have the heart to make a complaint, and I was with my mother who gets very embarrassed when someone complains. The Vole slaw was bland, bland, bland! I tried salt, I tried pepper but no. Casey, did you ever hear of vinegar?? Maybe hiring a chef instead of a short hand cook would behoove you. The fries were good, but run of the mill, and man cannot live on fries alone! I boxed it up to take, and even my dog didn't want any, which is rare. CASEYS: YOU'VE BEEN ELIMINATED. Goodbye

After eating here more than 30 times in the last few years and many more times before I started using Yelp it's clear that this is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. I used to think this was because its convenient rather than the menu but I have to admit it's mostly about the food and definitely the exceptional friendly service. You'll always have a nice selection of daily specials to choose from including hearty soups and usually a few comfort food offerings that change daily, if these don't appeal to your taste buds the menu if filled with a large selection of sandwiches, wrap and salads. The kitchen staff understands that during the lunch hours people want to eat and run so they get the food out pretty quick but they never compromise the quality. There's no doubt I'll continue to enjoy having lunch here when I'm in the area...

Quiet night at the cafe, that's not always the case.

Casy's is a very nice sports, pub and biker bar serving very good food. Wednesday's is Pasta Night, you can select a verity of different sauces and accompaniments which is nice if you like to mix things up a bit. The dinners are solid and they make a very good Rueben sandwich, I consider this place above the average in food quality and consistency and the service is always efficient and friendly. Do try the seafood items from the raw bar, you are in for a real treat. Casey's is a very nice feel good local establishment with a loyal customer following, drop by and you will understand why.

We have been there several times and the service is not very good. The bartenders are grumpy and the waitresses aren't far behind.

I ordered two poached eggs, bacon, and home fries. The bacon was fine, a little chewy but some people like that. The home fries, again, fine. But, the eggs we cold and disgusting. Poached eggs, by their very nature, are cooked uniformly. Unlike fried eggs, they are submerged in water and cooked all the way around. These eggs came back with uncooked whites that resembled mucus. I'm sure the eggs were sitting there, waiting on the other orders to be fulfilled. Not wanting to be a hassle, I plowed through, scooping the cold uncooked whites to the side and discovered a piece of not so small egg shell in it. I told the waitress there was an egg shell in the eggs, they were a bit undercooked and cold. Instead of receiving an apology or accommodations, she said she'll share the info with the owner. I was then given an excuse as to why there was an egg shell in the eggs "we use farm fresh eggs and they're very fragile". I use farm fresh eggs at home, they are fragile. It doesn't take more than a moment to remove the shell before cooking and serving it to a customer. She didn't remove the meal from the ticket or discount it and she never apologized. Like I said, just an excuse. All that being said, the place is beautiful, indoors and outside. My wife's pancake was delicious. I'm sure many things on the menu are delicious. They also seemed short staffed. And I won't wright a place off because of one meal and one server. Could be an off day for the chef/cook. The server isn't a always an indicator of the restaurant's values. I do wish she was more accommodating - especially at those prices - but it could've been a perfect storm of being short staffed, rushed cook, and a server that doesn't care.

Until we know more and until more folks get vaxxed so we can reach herd immunity, masks are important. So, the 5 stars is for the masks required and also for the wonderful bread. I have had G.H.'s bread in other locations, well, other states, actually, because Vernon is really out of the way for us. Bread is amazing and loaves are a good size. I also bought 3 sandwiches to enjoy with a friend, too, but was a bit disappointed as there wasn't much of the chicken salad filling inside them (unlike the photos which do show very fat sandwiches!) This particular location is in a small shopping plaza in Vernon. The inside looks like an independent bakery. They have a huge assortment of breads, they can make sandwiches upon request or from the menu. Additionally they also make salads, cookies and coffee. I'll have to note, the two teenage girls working here weren't friendly, welcoming or capable of smiling, maybe they are new, but something needs to change. I got the Turkey Goddess sandwich on Wheat Seeded Bread. I also got an iced coffee. They serve Peet's coffee. This combo was only $13. This bread was very fresh, flavorful and covered in seeds. It was filled with tomato, onion, lettuce, Havarti cheese, avocado spread and turkey. It also came with a pickle, but it was way too salty for me. This sandwich was very filling, fresh and tasty. My friend got a similar one and she also enjoyed it.

Outside is decorated well, and with it close to the lake and the park its got lots of alternative seating options around. Inside is a little sparse on seating and decoration. It's very much a brand new location just getting itself set up. It's got a little of the macabre themes but it's light and open. So it's basic but has a little character. The got a house blend with a snickers latte. No coffee cups just to-go. Took my pics and began the trek home. The coffee was very hot when I got it. They brew their drip coffee in large brewing stands so it's a very hot brewing method. Lose a lot of the subtle flavor notes that way, but as it cooled down I was able to get the bright and mid notes. It's a strong roasted flavor mid with a little of the bright fruity notes on top. With better temp control, would probably get more of the fruit notes. Good coffee, just limited by the technique. The snickers latte was surprisingly pleasant. It had a decent amount of sugar but the roasted peanut flavor combined with the roasted coffee flavor notes really played well against each other. It really helped cut through the caramel sweetness and led to a nice sweet dessert like sip. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the lead brewer was happy to talk about their beans and process. They were busy though, so couldn't get all the details. But they know their beans and their roast. Price is actually kinda low for the quality. Not upset about that, but I suspect that they may raise prices as time goes on to match other coffee shops. They do make their own bakery items but the selection is limited. The cookie I had was a solid oatmeal raisin but wasn't unique or different. Just a well executed oatmeal raisin. As a coffee shop, it's still figuring itself out. Once it gets its character and refines its brew then it stands to be a strong coffee shop for the area. For now, it's great but basic.
