The small grab-and-go prepared foods section also has some house-made keto snacks, like keto fat bombs and keto lemon bars, which are pretty good. I do wish the grab-and-go offered a keto'tarian veggie sandwich or wrap of some sort, but I understand that is likely a tall order for the limited market of folks with these eating habits. Perhaps they could add a keto veggie sandwich for order, since keto bread keeps well frozen and can be toasted on-demand as needed. Just a thought for the Feel Rite kitchen to consider. ;-) There is also a great variety here of singles of keto bars and vegan chocolate bars too, many that are organic fair trade. Don't get those mixed up, as the vegan chocolate is definitely not keto, haha. This year we purchased our Thanksgiving Tofurky log from this Feel Rite. I appreciate that this store is so plant-forward, but be aware you are going to pay for it here. A 2.5 lb. Tofurky log kit that came with a plant gravy and a small side of vegan brownies was fifty bucks! I suppose the consolation is you are supporting the little guy grocery store to help keep it in business. Prices all around are going to be more here than at Whole Foods or other grocery stores, unless you happen to hit a good sale on an item you want, and with one notable exception--eggs. Local free-range pasture-raised organic eggs are usually under $5 a dozen here, which actually beats Walmart's and Whole Food's regular prices for comparable eggs. In a perfect I-won-the-lottery-world, I would gleefully fill my cart with much of my grocery shopping staples at this Feel Rite. But the prices make it cost prohibitive for our current family budget for this to be a haul-shopping store for us. So it will remain a grab-a-few-things favorite for our mostly plant-based fam' until I hit it big. :-)

Half of our group (was a total of four of us) enjoyed their food. The restaurant was clean and bathroom smelled very pleasant. Pricing was fair for what was enjoyed. The focaccia bread was the star of the show for me. My guests enjoyed the shrimp scampi, but felt the portion was small and the salmon was delicious. I did taste a piece of the salmon and was jealous as I can confirm it was delicious...wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Con's: The other half of our party did not enjoy the food. Unfortunately, I was in that bunch. It was quite surprising as the menu is not robust at all; so our thought was that the items that ARE on the menu must be a delicious specialty. My pasta was pretty good and I especially loved the breaded vegan chicken which was very flavorful. My friend got a similar pesto pasta dish with real unbreaded chicken and thought it was decent too. The ambiance is pleasant and is great for both lunch and dinner. It was a bit pricey with all my customized items but I think it deserves a visit every now and then to satisfy my craving of interesting combinations of sauce - fresh pasta - protein!

For a great after dessert, I would recommend walking down to Sweet Jenny's on Spring Street just off of Main. I've done this on many occasions and their ice cream is always a delight. There's usually a long line, but it goes really fast and the service is with a smile. I like a nice scoop of strawberry ice cream, like the one you see in the picture. As an added bonus, if you get there before 6pm, there is a comic book store inside on the upper level! I scored a Dr Strange #6 from 1974. So grab your ice cream, and sit in the shade and read your comic books to the sound of a waterfall at Glen Park located just behind Sweet Jenny's. There's nothing like it.

Then I saw the delicious banana peppers (amongst other things) and bought both varieties of those and a few BBQ meatballs (all of these made in-house). I got home and threw the banana peppers in the oven immediately and warmed up the meatballs as a little appetizer while I waited (hey, I hadn't eaten all day and it was dinner time!). The meatballs were great ... they were mini and size but packed with flavor. Of the 2 banana pepper varieties I bought, me and my son both agreed the one with Italian sausage in it was our favorite! We absolutely cannot wait to have them again ... so much so that I had to call and make sure they are a regular option so I can grab them soon! The store itself is incredibly clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. The cuts of meat are beautiful. There's plenty of raw meat options, cooked items, fresh and frozen, individual or bulk, some salads, deli meats and cheese, a few other things. Oh, there's tons of unique hamburgers too in which they mix their ground beef with various ingredients for different flavors. Prices are on par with anywhere else ... no worries about jacked up prices here at all! Very fair. Great customer service, appearance, and variety. No complaints at all. The store has nicely sized aisles and the product placement seems helpful as you shop. Always an ample amount of carts available and plenty of self-service checkouts. Parking is more than ample and you may even check a few "to do" items off your list, due to the store's proximity to the Post Office, gas stations, etc. You'll find the usual Aldi's items - again, arranged in the store in a way that makes sense - not much hunting around for items you may need. I have noticed recently that this store has become messy; items tossed around and disorganized on shelves. Hopefully, this will be corrected by the management.
