Gluten free pizza with arugula, vegan mozzarella, tofu, spinach and Parmesan cheese.
    Donna Y.

I've been to D'Avolio a few times and their gluten-free pizza is fantastic, hands-down one of my favorites in the area - if not THE favorite. The crust isn't cauliflower which is a huge plus for me as I can't tolerate it and it's texture is great - thin and crispy. I got the classic red sauce for this pizza with tofu, spinach, vegan mozzerella and topped with arugula and paremsan. It was very yummy! I don't know what they do with their tofu but it was perfect. They also brought complimentary bread and oils to try as we waited for our orders and I was able to work with the server to create a delicous mocktail. The lunch time crowd was minimal - I am hoping it's just because school is out at the time we were there. I will be back!

So many choices. I need to come back to try another combination! Great atmosphere and menu. I had the chicken parm sandwich because I just couldn't decide. It was very good.

How I've never reviewed this place before is crazy to me! I've been coming here since they opened and I've never had a bad experience! The food is so good and I am always so quick to eat it that I forget to take any pictures! I did take a pic of the menu though because the menus posted on here are old. My favorite is the salad that you create yourself and I get the honey garlic chicken that is the best chicken EVER! I also request them to make a dressing with my favorite oils and their 18yr balsamic. The pizzas are also so good and I've tried the red sauce, garlic sauce, all different toppings and they are all AMAZING! I have not tried the pastas or burgers but I'm sure they are good because I'm convinced they cannot make anything bad here!

Only part of the spread they provided everything was delicious!

Never been to this location and what a treat! We were there for an event for a friend. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The place is so cute and cozy. Definitely will be back.

With a nice size bar, I grabbed a Cosmo for the night ,it was refreshing and a great way to keep cool in the summer hest. With fast and friendly service I received my pizza .It was hot ,with cheesey mozzarella and pesto and very tasty and delicious.

I ordered a $20 sandwich today & was so disappointed! I am a vegetarian so I just wanted to beef up the sandwich with spinach & sun dried tomato aiol. What I got was bread, an over abundance of lettuce, one spinach leaf & a ton of mayo. Really seems like this was literally thrown together with no consideration ( & barely any cheese). Terrible. I would really like my money back.

This place was pretty cool. Not what i expected. I went on a saturday evening i think? We got to seat ourselves. It wasn't busy and service was quick. For the menu you just circle what you want with a marker and give it to the waitress/waiter. Interesting. Anyways everything was good!

Half of our group (was a total of four of us) enjoyed their food. The restaurant was clean and bathroom smelled very pleasant. Pricing was fair for what was enjoyed. The focaccia bread was the star of the show for me. My guests enjoyed the shrimp scampi, but felt the portion was small and the salmon was delicious. I did taste a piece of the salmon and was jealous as I can confirm it was delicious...wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Con's: The other half of our party did not enjoy the food. Unfortunately, I was in that bunch. It was quite surprising as the menu is not robust at all; so our thought was that the items that ARE on the menu must be a delicious specialty. I had the pork chops with pasta and spinach. The pork chop was tough and the pasta was bland. The sauce that accompanied the meal was tasty and moved the overall meal from a 'no', to an 'ok'. Won't be back, but encourage you all to check them out as the other half of our table truly enjoyed their meals.

After a wonderful lunch of grilled eggplant, salad, and a glass of chianti, I made reservations for the evening for my family and friends who were in town for the games. Dinner did not disappoint! Service was excellent, drinks well made, and an assortment of appetizers (the ahi tuna, lamb lollipops were especially outstanding) kept the table busy while we discussed the days game against Marist. The staff made me feel like I was back in Italy! We were treated as one of "the family," and no one felt rushed! There were 7 of us and everyone's meal came out uniformly excellent! The boys had double filet mignon's which were perfectly grilled, the Salmon piccata was amazing, and the pasta dishes were outstanding! As we drained a second lovely bottle of chianti, the owner came by and was kind enough to recommend a bottle of his personal favorite red, which it turned out paired perfectly with our meals! Trattoria Aroma, with its food, wine and warm hospitality is as close as you can get to being in Italy while still in Buffalo! Many thanks to the owner, who we eventually talked into sitting with us and sharing stories of our Italian families over expresso!

Wow. Hands down some of the best pizza we've had…read more We ordered the San Felice Pizza -- San Marzano tomatoes, house-made sausage, sweet and spicy peppers, onion, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil -- and it was absolute perfection. The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. This truly is a slice of heaven.

It looked fantastic. But when I asked his rating, he gave it 6/10 stars. However, I wouldn't trust anyone who doesn't like cheese so take it with a grain of salt I was torn between the Bianca and Quattro pizza so I asked the kind man at the register for his suggestion; he said the Bianca is more popular so I went with that. I enjoyed my pizza, although I wouldn't order this one again. I do want to say that it is pricey but you will get a very big pie of great quality. The dough was excellent! It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner).
