We came to see a grandson play in a baseball tournament and this was one of the Fort Myer's locations that hosted the teams. There aren't many facilities, but at least the bathrooms were fairly clean. There wasn't any concession stand open when the game started in the morning. Luckily we'd brought our own snacks and drinks. One negative is that the parking lot is far from the fields. So plan accordingly for older folks or anyone who has a problem walking.

It was originally named Page Park but was renamed Brooks Park to honor the first Director of Parks & Recreation Department, Jerry Brooks. This park is known for its 12 pickleball courts, along with baseball/softball, and football athletic field. The Pickleball courts are on first come first serve, no fee, no reservation, and no paddle equipment rental for open/recreational play. The hours are Dawn to Dusk. Pickleball court Lights turn on at sunset and turn off at 10 PM. Please note there is no more tennis play at this facility! Athletic fields for organized play reservation required 72-hour notice. There is a Lightning Detection installed and completely free parking! The strengths of Brooks Park are accessibility, community use and a solid setup. This is a good place for anyone interested in pickleball, organized recreation or simply staying active.

The soccer side has three fields. Both the Baseball and the Soccer complexes have shaded playgrounds which are open even when there are no sports going on. Pros: -Usually not too many people there but still some kids if your child wants to play with others. -SHADED! This is a HUGE plus, one of the few playgrounds that's completely shaded. -Fake grass instead of dirt or mulch. Cons: -Incredibly small! So when there is a crowd it feels like you're packed in like sardines. -No bathrooms only a portable bathroom that's usually disgusting, as most porti-potty's are. -Due to the size there's really not much equipment for the kids to play on.
