My family and I will probably not be back. This was our first time going to D'Cracked Egg... we decided to go because we had heard some good things about it. I will say the food was tasty, but the experience and service was terrible. They were not very busy and had four servers running around and a manager being the host. We got seated fairly quickly but then sat for 10 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order... another 10 minutes before we got our drinks and they took our order. 25 minutes later we are sitting there with empty drinks (been empty for at least 10 minutes) so I finally got up and asked another server to refill my coffee and my wife's Dr Pepper. Finally 15-20 minutes later food started to arrive. I got the French toast and my wife got an omelette... My French toast arrived first... 10 minutes later my wife's omelette arrived. We never saw our server other than when she took our order, when she delivered our food, and when she took our money. We sat there for almost an hour before we both had food. We were never checked on for refills or to see how the food was or anything. Although, the food was tasty, we will not be back because of the lack of customer care and service... awful experience for a restaurant that appeared to be very nice. I would leave 0 stars if possible but I guess the one star is because the food was good when we finally got it, although we had to eat our meals separately because they didn't come out even close to the same time read more

I use Yelp quite a bit when I go out of town so this time was no different. Today I went to the D'Cracked egg, and I'm glad I did. Walking in the door I was welcomed right away, ordering and food delivery were spot on with an endless cup of coffee. My breakfast was excellent, everything was prepared perfectly. Great breakfast, great service! Day trip to Tupelo and wanted a place to go sit, get out of the rain and have a good meal with my daughter. Didn't want chain restaurants and I'm so glad d'cracked egg popped up on my Google maps! They check your temp at the door but you do not have to wear mask. Place was really laid back, fun and really cool atmosphere. Clean and service was very good. I had the (huge) chicken and waffles, my daughter had kids French toast, bacon and eggs. Headed on a road trip to the beach and we wanted brunch and were near Tupelo, so we decided to try this place. It was delicious. We had the fried cinnamon roll appetizer and then I had the. Oh try biscuits which I did Texas toast instead and it was so so good. We left feeling so full and satisfied. The staff was also pleasant and there was great music playing. If you love breakfast, THIS is the place! We got pancakes (top 3 in my life), veggie omelet (cheese is on point), turkey bacon, reg bacon, and scrambled eggs with cheese. All of it was so tasty! The toast was also Texas toast style. I would highly recommend. The prices are super cheap for the quantity and quality. The service was so super nice too. Second time going. Food was decent. It actually wouldn't be a bad experience if it wasn't for the 1+ hour wait time for two plates of breakfast food. To summarize we waited 1 hour 35min, did not receive food, not checked on often, and left hungry. For full story read on. We arrived at 12:00. Got a table for 12. It was about 12:10 before everyone was seated. During these first 10 minutes our waitress was at attentive and took drink orders. We received our drinks in a timely fashion, the last time this occurred. At 12:33 we noticed that the waitress had not been to the table in at least 15 min and we had not yet ordered food.. We flagged her down and she came over. By 12:40 she had taken everyone's order. Of note we had several children in the group. At approx 01:10 we noticed no one had been by table in some time and we did not have any food at all. We asked for waitress. She came over and said they were working on food. She did give us some coffee refills at this time. At approx 01:20 we still did not have food. The children were hungry and restless but well behaved considering. At this time a manager came out and said it was taking so long because they wanted to bing all the food out at once. At 01:30 we still did not have food. Ask for manager and explained situation to him. Saiid it would be out shortly. At 01:35 we did not have food. Ask that they at least bring out what was ready, which they Agreed to. At 01:45 no food. We said just box everything up and bring it to us as we need to leave. At 01:55 they finally bring out the boxed food but sit it several tables away and bring us checks, as if they are holding the food hostage. They also seem confused about who's food was who's. We paid for our drinks and left without what I would consider to be a sound apology. I have worked in food industry and understand that sometimes things happen to slow service down. If they knew they were behind they could have at least brought out some biscuits for the kids or been more attentive to our coffee. Horrible experience. Will not be going back. read more

Would not recommend this place at all. It first took them 30 minutes just to get our food ordered, then it took over an hour to even get it. We were a party of 7 and 5 of us received food while me and another person in our party were still waiting. Then when my order finally came out it was made wrong. It was supposed to be a waffle sandwich, but it comes out on regular toast, which the toast was nasty. Very huge waste of time. Waitress was not even attentive and didn't even inform us of why it was taking so long. I don't foresee this place lasting much longer because the service is just terrible. This place is hidden downtown in a quiet location. It has a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. The food is out of this world amazing and also affordable!!!!! I ordered the pancakes which were heavenly! My meal consisted of pancakes, two eggs, sausage, hash brown casserole, and a biscuit. My boyfriend got the D'Western Omelet which was STUFFED with steak and it came with bacon and a waffle and he said it was the best waffle he had ever eaten!!!! And the service was impeccable! We got there around 11:50 am on a Sunday. It was not packed and had plenty of empty tables. We were seated after a couple minutes wait (which is to be expected). And to make a long story short, we were served our food after waiting an hour for it. You would think that after waiting an hour you would be getting a hot meal. That didn't happen. My family and I were passing through Tupelo on vacation and had heard that this restaurant was great, but there was a bit of a wait. We were aware it was Saturday morning and we would wait, but waiting for over an hour and NO interaction from the staff after initially taking our drink order, that's just ridiculous. We ordered our food and drinks and were brought our drinks, which the coffee was cold, but after that there was absolutely NO interaction afterwards. We tried to get the attention of our waitress but she would not make eye contact. She was attentive to her other tables, but would not come and check on us at all. Others who arrived after us got their food, but we still had no interaction with our waitress; not even to ask if we needed refills for our drinks or to give us an idea as to how much longer we would be waiting for our food. Another couple who had arrived at the same time as us got half of their order and were visibly disappointed as well as asking us if we had been served at all. A few minutes later a different couple got up and left without getting their food and were told "maybe next time." We asked one of the servers if he had any idea when we would be getting our food and he "went to ask" but went back to the front and never came back. We were on a time frame and decided to leave when another 10 minutes went by. We waited to pay for our drinks but they still wouldn't acknowledge us. My sister went up to the front and stopped someone and told them she wanted to pay but was told "forget it, just go." I've never had such a rude experience in my life. I can handle waiting, especially since it's a Saturday morning, but no interaction between the staff and my family and I? For over an hour? Their customer service is nonexistent. Wish I could rate the food, but we didn't receive any! read more

This restaurant is new to Tupelo and My fiancé and I went for the first time this past Saturday, November 1st. We were greeted when we walked in the door, immediately seated, and served in a timely manner. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us often. The food was very good and they give you a very large amount for the price you pay. We will definitely be back very soon.
