    Brussels Sprouts
    Robert C.

Came here as part of our Valentines celebration. It's a cool place on the inside . My wife had the Schnitzel and I had the New York strip. We also had the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. The Brussels were very good. A little sticky because of the sweet glaze that was on it. So be careful if you have false teeth. My steak was ok , it didn't really have a lot of flavor and was a little fatty. My wife's schnitzel was very good tho. The service was top notch and I will definitely be going back here again. It's a great place for a date night or to just hang out with friends

Came to dinner at this Old Town restaurant in Albuquerque. It looks like it's pretty popular, as it became quite busy on a Thursday night. It has a very unique decor up front, with a river rock wall and two River Rock booths. I'm not sure how comfortable they are, but they sure look cool. There's a round bar up front and high top tables in the bar area. Walk a little further back into the dining room where there are standard tables. It also looks like there's another dining room toward the back but I didn't check that out. There's also patio seating in a big courtyard. It is a really lovely patio. Our server started us off with a sample of one of the red wines that comes from their winery. I don't usually like red wine very much, but I did love this wine and ordered a glass. They have a full bar and the other people in my party ordered cocktails. The server brought out some bread and butter to start is off. The menu has a little bit of everything for everyone - - there was some pasta, pot roast, fish, and even a burger. We ordered: *Rainbow trout with mango salsa, jasmine rice, and asparagus. Two of us ordered the trout, but I substituted my jasmine rice with mashed potatoes. *Country pot roast with mashed potatoes and brown gravy *Schnitzel with mashed potatoes and broccolini *Southwest meatloaf with mashed potatoes and The manager came to our table to see if everything was okay. I really appreciate when a manager does that. We had a really nice meal and a nice place and the price was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this place.

What a great place to stop and eat. We stayed over in a Best Western very close, even walking close. Food was excellent! I ordered the spicy glazed meatloaf with the best grilled veggies, mashed potatoes. They come by table with a wine sample too. Very nice atmosphere, but still casual dress. Nice outdoor patio area, that seemed popular. We loved it so much we ate here 2 nights in a row. Will be our new stop over traveling through.

Came here for a seminar-type dinner, so we got access to the private room. We were served just the general house salad and had several different entree options off of a special menu. So, I chose the pecan chicken (quite savory) with mashed potatoes and a mix of zucchini/ squash/onions on the side. Staff was very attentive as well and got food out quickly to our large group. I'd like to come back and try the brunch sometime. 2025 #32

The best baked Brie in town, great service, and good prices. The atmosphere in the patio is so nice. My favorite restaurant in Albuquerque.

Came here to for dinner this weekend with a few friends! We were happy that we didn't have to wait long to be seated, especially because we didn't have reservations. Our server was friendly and attentive! The food selection was great, a ton of options on the menu from dinner salads, steaks, burgers and even a few pasta dishes. They have home style meals like pot roast and meatloaf, which apparently is a crowd favorite! So if you want a spot with some variety, look no further! Let's not forget their wines! Of course there's a plethora to choose from, but also there's a full bar as well as local brews on tap! Bring a date here, I can be more intimate or come with friends for a great dinner experience!

Lemme start by saying my meal was covered by a third party, so my review may be more harsh if I had to pay for this out of my own pocket. I was part of a party of 13 or 14. We had a great table in the center, plenty of space for us all. Customer service was great, our server was wonderful, food was brought out in a timely fashion and our bread and drinks were refilled when appropriate. Ambiance was not what I was expecting, but this is subjective. I think the live singer they had was great, but the noise made it really difficult to talk with each other or hear each other. If you're looking for a place like that, this is perfect. If you're looking for a place where you can easily converse and relax with people, this might not be the spot. That's where I take off one star. Now, onto the food. This is where I docked one start, possibly 2 if I had to pay with my own money. I ordered calamari ($18), the steak bearnaise ($45), and creme brulee ($8). I'm going to be perfectly honest: the only appropriately priced item of those is the creme brulee. It was delicious and great for the price. The other two... no. The calamari was fried well and appropriately seasoned but man, $18 is too high a price for that especially when I've seen other places offer way more for way less. And the steak bearnaise... wow. The menu had it described as "filet mignon medallions", which led me to believe there would be more than one. But there wasn't. Plus, there were only 3 shrimp. I'm sorry, but $45 is too high an asking price for the quantity and quality of food served in that picture. I will say the filet mignon medallion (singular) was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the shrimp were not over or undercooked. But I've gotten much more food for $45 at other steak houses, and those serve much higher quality steaks or higher quantities at a competitive price point compared to here. I doubt I'll be coming back here any time soon. Might be good for you if you are okay with the above caveats, but it's not somewhere I would return or try again. Stellar customer service would probably be the biggest plus here; otherwise, your money and time would be better spent elsewhere in my opinion.

One of my favorite places in town. The wine membership is so much fun. The food is always fresh and delicious and they have a great variety.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here during a trip to thee area and it was an excellent experience. From the moment we walked in, the fun vibe at the bar was inviting. The unique decor added to the atmosphere. For starters, we ordered the feta and hummus appetizer which was paired with our wine Chenin Blanc. Suggested on the menu. For the entrée, I ordered the green chili meatloaf, and it did not disappoint. The spice of the green chili was balanced beautifully with the rich, savory meatloaf, creating a flavor that was both comforting and exciting. To finish off the evening, we tried the bread pudding for dessert, and it was heavenly. Creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced, it was the ultimate comfort dessert and a sweet way to end a fantastic meal. If you're looking for a place with delicious food, a great atmosphere, and the charm of a bistro this is a must-visit!

What a fantastic find! Stopped in for a quick bit to eat, and it was an amazing experience. A menu with so many wonder choices... much more than expected. This was a lunchtime visit, and it wasn't too crowded. Great service by Taylor. She went above and beyond to make sure our first time was pleasant and memorable. We already know we will return here next time we are in Albuquerque. Absolutely delicious food (some of the best I've had in NM)! Meatloaf, my meal of choice was bursting with flavor, well plated and presentable, and more than satisfying, even providing some leftovers. The ceviche was equally fantastic. It was a very hot day, so indoor dining was the way to go. It's lovely inside! The patio was so inviting, so next time, we plan to go when it's cooler or at least even hours and enjoy the ambiance. Yelp check in for free flight (4 options), 3 different wines, each 2oz...$12 value was the perfect compliment to the meal.

Amazing experience at Les Combes! Service was great and the food was delicious. We started with a tasting of the black moscato which was super yummy! Great place for a date night or a girls night! We will definitely be back for the pot roast and meatloaf again!

Came here to celebrate husband's birthday. I used OpenTable to get us a table and indicated that it will be for birthday celebration. I also noted that the it would be nice if the staff can help make my husband feel special. This is my experience, totally subjective: Upon arrival, there was no happy birthday from the staff at all. We were seated at a corner. The waiter checked our IDs when we ordered alcohol drinks but no happy birthday from the waiter. As the dinner was supposed to be for birthday celebration, I was disappointed that we got no acknowledgement from the staff. It might not be a big deal for many people, but it was just like a regular eat out for us without acknowledgement from restaurant staff, nothing special. Also, I wasn't sure if the restaurant was just too loud or the waiter talked so quietly. We couldn't understand what the waiter was saying many times and were asking "huh?" "Excuse me?" when the waiter approached us. I felt bad personally for doing it constantly, but truly, we couldn't hear the waiter. If you are looking for a more intimate setting to celebrate personal holidays, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. However, if it's for group celebration, it is a nice place. The food was good, drinks were delicious and priced fairly. Just the service could be better/more attention to details.

Luke warm Mongolian beef, tastes as though it was prepared yesterday and re-heated (sort of).
    Jonathan R.

This restaurant has steadily declined over the last several years, with service now reaching truly memorable depths. It's a shame. Somewhere out there lies a brilliant, talented owner with outstanding culinary preparation abilities and a stupendous menu--making tonight especially tragic and surprising. In the last 3 visits here, I experienced the same sort of tepid / luke warm food (Mongolian beef). Tonight, I ordered the Mongolian beef. Seconds after starting the soup, a heavy-set lady comes and drops the Mongolian beef plate on the table. When I tried to tell her that I had just barely started eating the soup, she raced back to the kitchen, ignoring my trying to communicate. (And this was before the large groups came in en masse) Despite the waiter and i agreeing to delay the food until I finish the soup, this happened. So I asked the waiter to microwave the Mongolian beef and he took it away, warming it up slightly. From the start, it tasted as though it was prepared yesterday or hours ago and perhaps re heated, like leftovers. Yes I tasted it before sending it back. It was luke warm and non appetizing from the outset. After asking the server for butter and water, I waited 1/2 hour for either. Fifteen minutes into this time duration, I stood up and found another server, asking her for water and butter. She promised to get this immediately. It never came. Upon setting my credit card on the table... seconds later, my server comes and runs the bill. I asked him for water and butter and with no apologies or delay, he brings both. Once a large party was seated in his section, it was bye bye customer. Suggestions: don't order the Mongolian beef and take whatever you buy here to go.

Hidden Gem in Nobhill Albuquerque…read more I recently visited the restaurant at Mission Winery and had a great experience from start to finish. To start, I ordered the sangria and the crab & artichoke dip. The sangria was on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly so, making it easy to enjoy with the appetizer. The dip was delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor, although I honestly couldn't taste much artichoke. It was still a great starter, especially paired with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the red chile fried chicken bites with fries. The chicken was the standout of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious red chile sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired well with the ketchup. My friend shared the appetizer with me and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she enjoyed alongside one of the wine tasting flights. The real surprise of the evening came after dinner. Our host handed us a card with a password to access the speakeasy downstairs. If you visit Mission Winery, don't skip this part. The speakeasy had a completely different atmosphere from the restaurant above and quickly became the highlight of the night. The space feels intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed, with dark wood accents, comfortable seating, and a stylish lounge vibe. My friend and I both ordered espresso martinis, and they were fantastic. The presentation alone was impressive--the unique glassware was chilled and helped keep the cocktail cold longer, allowing us to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Between the excellent food, wine, creative cocktails, and the hidden speakeasy experience, Mission Winery offers much more than just a typical dinner out. The restaurant was great, but the speakeasy downstairs is what will have me coming back. Recommendation: Start with dinner upstairs, then ask about the speakeasy password and finish your evening downstairs with an espresso martini. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.

We had a reservation for 11:30am and arrived on time, but ended up waiting outside for about 10 minutes with no staff in sight. We called multiple times for assistance before anyone came out. To make matters worse, the friend who made the reservation was never informed that brunch is held in the private club and not the e restaurant, which caused unnecessary confusion right from the start. Once a waiter finally found us, we were taken to the private club where we were told they only had three brunch menu items available that day. We ordered immediately, along with waters and mimosas. Keep in mind, there were only two tables total--our group of three and another group of seven--so it wasn't busy. Despite that, service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes just to get our mimosas, and our waters were forgotten and didn't come out until another 10 minutes later. Our food took about 40 minutes, which felt excessive given how few people were there. Even more frustrating, my friends' meals came out about 10 minutes before mine. There's really no reason meals at the same table shouldn't be served together. The food itself was just okay. The only standout was the French toast, which was actually really good--and honestly the only reason this review isn't one star. I also ordered coffee and was told they don't carry creamer, which is surprising for a place offering brunch. Our waitress rarely checked on us throughout the meal, which added to the overall lack of service. Between the confusion, long wait times, and lack of attention, this experience didn't meet expectations. I won't be returning.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a really cool art-gallery vibe throughout the space. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time sipping wine and browsing the local artwork. The wine selection was impressive--lots of unique New Mexico wines to choose from, and the tasting flights are a great way to try several different varieties. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations based on what we liked and explaining the wines without making it feel intimidating. We also tried a cheese board which paired perfectly with the wine and made the whole experience feel a little extra special. Whether you're a serious wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun stop while exploring Old Town, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great wine, great vibe, and great service. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in the area.

Awesome review, Sandra. You nailed the basics, thanks for creating this biz listing. The Corrales…read moreBike & Wine Tour could (and should) be a defining celebration of this antiquated, lovely little town north of Albuquerque. I've lived here nearly 20 years, and this tour opened my eyes to the breadth of Corrales I'd never previously known. It's a great bike ride and a smart way to taste some craft wineries. A twelve mile loop, you can plan to spend an afternoon leisurely sipping some tasty pours and exploring this territory. My basic perceptions: Corrales needs to get behind this, support it, and provide a safe cycling lane, a big one, for the entirety of the event. From the get-go, the loop didn't feel safe for cyclists. The Duke City Marathon, for example, allows runners an avenue (the bosque trail) to run free. The same should be true for this tour, moreso because the riders have sipped a few glasses. On the day of the Tour there should be a well regulated and carefully policed lane for cyclists. Some idiot honked at me when I attempted to pass another biker on the road. I didn't tell him/her then, but I'll say it now: fuck off, asshat. We own the road as much as you do. The wineries that represent are typical of New Mexican vino, a smattering of sweet stuff and a few adventurous pours. TAKE A MOUNTAIN BIKE, the ride to Corrales Winery will not support your street bike. Come for the adventure. I never knew this tiny town had a flourishing suburban heart, and I was thrilled to discover the outskirts, even if they looked precisely like Rio Rancho proper. Good wine, good ride, good times. Next April, put this on your calendar.

First of my friends and I are in no means "great shape" I would say we are your average moms. If you're not an expert bike rider like us, here are some tips if you decide to try it in August or next year. First, if you're not familiar with area, check out the map and take a quick cruise to see if it's something you can do. Pack plenty of water and some snacks to enjoy while you rest at each stop. My friends and I packed some fruit, cheese and crackers and it kept us energized. My last piece of advice would be to definitely wear a helmet. It's not mandatory, but the ride is mostly along a busy road. Better to be safe than sorry right? It was a great experience, friends and I had a blast and it was great to try the different wines. At the end of the tour, they had a Jazz band and food for everyone so that made the experience even better. Oh and if you buy a bottle at one of the wineries, you don't have to worry about how you're going to carry it because they have this great service that picks up your bottle(s) from the wineries with your name on them and you can claim them at the end. I recommend this event for any wine lover. My friends and I will be doing it again next year.
